"Overall, it was OK. I was in a Teepee on the first night, and that didn't work out so well. The flap couldn't be tied shut and there were holes in the Teepee and we were expecting rain. Not a good combo. Next time I would rather bring my own tent. Next, I moved to a covered wagon. A much better value. I would recommend this over a Teepee. Stay away from the restaurant. I ordered a Jalapeno Burger that was the worst burger that I have ever had, and I have been places with pretty crappy food before. And it was $27! And it didn't even have Jalapeno's on it! -1 out of 5 stars. Seriously."

The Virginian Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"The Virginian Lodge was very nice!! It has a modern rustic vibe. The rooms are fairly big with a large barn door that separates the bathroom from the rest of the room. The bed was very comfy. During our stay, we enjoyed drinks and live music in the open firepit area. We did not eat at the restaurant due to their hours but heard it has excellent food! The Virginian Lodge is also in a great location. We enjoyed our stay very much!"

"The ranch was a unique experience. The view of the valley was wonderful and as a bird watcher I enjoyed wandering the hillside and finding some great birds. The room was large but we were surprised not to find a TV. As seniors we didn't ride horses but they were a wonderful edition to the place. If you are looking for suggestions, it would be the dinner hour where better service should be provided. No one really introduced themselves or told us that we had to get the menus ourselves and then walk back to give our order. By the time my hamburger was served, my wife was 1/2 finished with her meal. A gratuity was charged, not left to the customer even though the server didn't do much. The food was good but we did not eat there again. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves."
