A holiday in Moena will welcome you toFassa Valley, the perfect destination for the entirefamily, surrounded by some of the most evocative Dolomite ranges, including the Latemar, Valaccia and the Costalunga Pass.

Moena rises up in a splendid green basin, a real paradise for sportsand nature lovers, but also for those simply looking for a few days of relaxation and wellness. A holiday in Moena is perfect to take a break from the frenetic pace and the daily routine and enjoy a little bit of healthy, well-deserved rest.

Moena is the largest town in the Fassa Valley and offers a range of outdoor activities together with seamless organisation, which few other mountain destinations can offer. Excursions, horseback and mountain bike rides, challenging trails and climbing, Nordic walking, cultural walks, tennis, beach volleyball, outdoor yoga, paragliding, to more extreme sports like downhill skiing and kayaking: these are just a few of the activities you can enjoying Moena and the surrounding area. Throughout the summer there are courses and private lessons for beginners and children, as well as a varied offering of escorts and Alpine guides to discover the territory, for more expert individuals. In Moena, the ongoing quest for new activities to do outdoors is proof that this valley is always putting itself on the line, constantly driven by its vocation to find a symbiosis between man and nature. One example is the Roncac' tour for the senses inaugurated by Tom Perry in the summer of 2011, a tour that is done barefoot to correct your posture. Once you get to the Roncac' Alpine summer pasture, the long and panoramic descent to go back to town begins. True cross-country ski buffs just can't miss the Marcialonga, now in its 41st year, which enthuses and excites fans and contestants from all over the world who face off on a trail that starts from Moena and ends in Cavalese, going across the entire Fiemme and Fassa Valleys.

But a holiday in Moena doesn't just mean sports. Indeed, around here there are many alternatives for spending pleasant moments of fun and relaxation. One of many is delving into the valley's Ladin culture and traditions, visiting the various historic sites, villages and older churches, the Ladin Museum and the War Museum, in addition to savouring typical flavours on an Alpine summer pasture, surrounded by the charm of the Dolomites and the silence of nature. Another alternative is strolling down the streets of the city centre, off-limits to traffic during the afternoons and evenings, going around the different cafés and restaurants, perusing the displays of shops and stores and going to the events organised by the town in each season. For a few years now Moena has been part of the "Alpine Pearls", an association founded and formed by Alpine tourist destinations that fosters and supports sustainable, quality tourism. Indeed, in these valleys the magic words are saving the environment and constantly thinking of itineraries and initiatives that incentivise guests and residents to fully enjoy the nature around them, leaving their polluting means of transportation at home and going around on foot or with environmentally friendly vehicles.

Experiencing Moena thus becomes a chance to savour the tranquillity that eco-sustainable mobility can offer, with the main squares and the avenue that runs along the river off-limits to traffic. The use of e-bikes is increasing exponentially, and as an alternative means of transport, a little train that goes through the town's main streets connecting all areas to the city centre in no time has been available to guests and residents for many years. Even some hotels have decided to promote the use of public transportation, offering a bonus on treatments at their spas or on drinks at their restaurant or bar to all guests who hand over the keys to their car when they checked in (which are kept by the hotel management until they leave).

In winter, Moena turns into a town right out of a fairytale, where the snow, lights and the magical atmosphere that forms along the streets and main squares thanks to the Christmas market make the town even more evocative. The Tre Valli Ski Area, which includes the Moena-Lusia, San Pellegrino and Falcade facilities, offers breathtaking slopes that always have perfect snow cover, connected to a functional system of modern and efficient ski lifts. The Alochetè Cross Country Skiing Centre is a genuine paradise for those who love this discipline, boasting a whole 15 km of slopes for all categories, deep in the white forests and surrounded by the splendid mountains of the San Pellegrino Pass.

Mountain lovers absolutely can't miss the San Pellegrino Pass, which marks the border of Trentino with the municipality of Belluno. In the summer it is a destination for excursions and trekking that can reach all the way up to both the side of the Costabella and Monzoni Group as well as to the area of Col Margherita and Cima Bocche, with interesting routes and paths which date back to the First World War. The pass holds precious treasures: from the lake with crystal-clear waters that reflects the surrounding beauties of nature to the historic hospice, a point of reference for the pilgrims who came to Agordino, to the chapel dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua, embellished by paintings by a painter from Moena, G.B. Chiocchetti. The Fassa Valley awaits you. Check out our holiday packages to Moena and get ready for a brand new, unforgettable adventure.
