It seems their claims of “renovations” are going on, have been going for better than a year! I’ve stay there ; times now in the last year, this was the worst! Hallways were dirty, room carpet was dirty, light burned out in the bathroom, microwave was unstable.

Expedia screwed up a bunch of stuff on their end, and the hotel was doing demolition right above my head for my stay, among a few other things. Nice people at the counter though but bad stay

Unforrunately, the online pictures of the hotel do not represent its current state. The elevator had spit on the wall. The room was depressing and not. Welcoming at all. Breakfast, had ran out of coffee and no one was available. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

Staff was friendly. Shopping center and eating options are from walking distance. Downtown Mobile was like a 15min drive. The hotel itself was clean and well kept up with.

The only problem I found was,the water didn't get hot,it was luke warm. Other than that,everything else was great. Will be staying again.

Great place to stay for a night for Mardi Gras Ball. Room is clean and quiet. Although the one we stayed in could use some work on the walls of the bathroom.

Rooms vary greatly from photos and the rooms had a musty smell. Pull out couch was stained and in poor condition. Breakfast options were very limited as they had a cereal bar but no milk, one yogurt option, undercooked omelettes.

Check-in was awkward. There was a $100 deposit, which is not unusual but it was handwritten and not mentioned in the original booking. Customer service was lacking when confronted. We checked in and then 2 days later there was a second $100 deposit. When I asked the front desk they said it wasn’t them, despite my bank statement saying otherwise. The first room we were sent to was HIGHLY chemical-smelling. I mean, sure, I guess that could mean it was cleaned, right? Went to the front desk to let them know there wasn’t bedding for the pull out couch and the employee responded in a snarky tone that we didn’t ask for them (despite reserving a room for 4 guests). But then we opened up the pull out couch and it was covered in pink stains. We asked to be moved and the second room also has the chemical smell but not as bad, thankfully. The breakfast was a standard continental breakfast - but the eggs were delicious! I could eat them regularly! The seating needs to be reupholstered. They were nice and trying to keep up with having stuff refilled but the one awkward moment was when they were kicking people out of breakfast and I didn’t think anything of it because it was after 9:30am, when breakfast was over, until I realized it was the weekend and the sign on the wall specifically stated 10am. There were huge storage units in the parking lot (assuming for the switch from one hotel brand to another), watch out for the steep driveway when exiting the parking lot you’ll bottom out!

There were children or someone running upstairs above our room. The noise was severe--we complained every night. There were some guests that requested a move within the hotel. Breakfast was served but was very sparse.

Hotel is changing over from a Comfort inn to Springdale suites. Needs work and updating. Did not like that they charged $100 safety deposit on my card in addition to the hotel payment. It was credited after checkout, but need to wait 4-7 days. Poor service at front desk. Would not stay again.

The hotel needs a good cleaning
The good:The front desk staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. The bad: the carpet was dirty with apparently not vacuumed when the prior guests checked out. Bathroom wall by the bathtub had mold, probably caused by the broken ventilation fan. The shower tub drains slowly. The sheets and pillow covers had stains. The sofa bad mattress had crackers and other foods on it.

Extending a little bit of consideration and letting someone who has already driven ALL NIGHT check in early, instead of making him sleep in his car until your "approved" check-in time, would have made this a much better trip. Especially since it was only the halfway point to where he was heading!
