Perfect place to stay
We were delighted with our stay at Milford Oaks cottage. Christine and Barry were on hand when we arrived and warmly greeted us and made us feel at home. As Americans we had to get used to driving down the narrow hedgerows to get to the cottage but we did just fine. The cottage is very private and quiet. A lovely place to stay.

Absolutely wonderful
We only stayed for a couple of days but the property was absolutely wonderful. Area was gorgeous and so peaceful. Barry and Christine are such lovely people. They were both there to welcome us and made us feel instantly at home. They are there if you need them but also you don't know they are there so it's totally private. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. The property was extremely clean and very well equipped with everything you need and more. Thank you so much and we hope to see you again ❤️

Home from home
A wonderful cosy cottage, with all the necessities that you need for a relaxing stay, including the welcome treats. The tranquil location and woodland walk along the estuary were very pleasant. Both Barry & Christine were most helpful leading up to our stay with suggestions of where to eat and also on arrival, nothing seemed like too much trouble.

Lovely short break
The cottage was lovely, very cosy and surrounded by great places to walk. It had everything we needed for our stay and included a lovely welcome hamper. Christine was a wonderful host and was very friendly. We would definitely return.

Great communication with Christine and Barry from the start. Cottage was perfect, everything we needed even though only for a few nights. Great location for getting around Pembrokeshire and my son loved his morning run at the end of the lane Would highly recommend and hope to return

Escape to the country
Excellent stay at this beautiful cottage. If you need to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday living then here is the place to book. Centrally located to escape on walks through woodland and or beautiful beaches. I would definitely recommend this cottage. Cottage was clean and the hosts were very helpful.

Lovely base for a walking trip
My partner and I spent an enjoyable week here in September. He is walking the coastal path for charity and I was his back up for a while. This was so he could at least have it slightly easier in terms of not having to carry a heavy backpack, eating home cooked food and lifts to and from his start and finish points each day. A welcome break for us both in the midst of a long endeavour. The cottage proved the perfect location for this, easily accessible to all the routes to and from the coastal path. Very comfortable, clean and well-equipped and the hosts could not have been kinder and more welcoming. I brought my two dogs and it was just right for them. The cottage is in a pretty location and plenty of walks straight from the door, the dogs need to be on a lead but my dogs are a bit elderly so was not a problem. I would highly recommend a stay here.

A PERFECT WEEKEND BREAK
To begin at the beginning. On arrival we were warmly greeted by son, David, who offered all or any assistance if needed but left us to our own devices. The cottage was spotlessly clean with a welcome array of goodies to glug and consume and an info book detailing local amenities, services, walks, eateries etc. At the rear of the cottage is a patio with quality furniture, bbq, sun umbrella and a natural sun-trap. Let me say this - it is PEACEFUL. Very peaceful. My daughter and I enjoyed our meals in peace and privacy and happily settled down to movies on the smart TV where only we could hear the invisible star fall. The kitchen is well appointed with every utensil we could need plus a fair smattering of arrival essentials, tea and coffee bags, seasonings etc.. I had the pleasure of meeting with Barry and Christine and it is clear they have honed hosting to a fine art. Just a lovely weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely book again. Thank you Barry, Christine and David.

Comfortable cottage
This was a very well appointed cottage. The comfy bed and complete blackout in the main bedroom meant we slept extremely well, and the whole family appreciated the comfortable sofas in the sitting room. Although we chose perhaps the worst week of the summer for weather, we managed to get out and about as we were so well located. Thanks to Chris and Barry for a restful week.

Great place for relaxing or getting out and about.
Lovely property with character, in a nice rural location but close enough to local areas. A lot of care and attention in the welcome pack and booklet, local pub menus and a extensive leaflet pack of things to do in the area. Plenty of books and puzzles kept us occupied when the weather wasn't great. Really pleased with our stay here. Thank you.

This was the most comfortable cottage we have ever stayed in. Christine and Barry had thought of everything. It was exceptionally well equipped and spotlessly clean. There was even a thoughtful welcoming gift for us and our dogs.

A lovely cottage
We had a really nice break at this secluded cottage in Pembrokeshire. Close to beaches, towns and amenities but far away from the madding crowd. Very clean, lovely gardens and perfect for a family of four. We loved it!

L9vely quiet location, but farmer close by had used slurry and there was flies everywhere. Obviously nothing to do with the owners, just time of year, fly spray was supplied, didn't affect our holiday, but can I suggest a chain screen over the door, it would help to keep the flies out.

Great property in a lovely location
One of the best equipped properties we've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The welcome was warm and the bottle of wine, Easter eggs and dog chew were a nice touch. The location was perfect with easy access to the beaches and coastal walks at Manorbier, Freshwater, Marloes Sands and St David's to mention a few. If you get the opportunity, a boat trip to Skomer from Martins Haven is a must with Puffins, seals, dolphins and other sea birds seen on the 1hr trip. If you want to stay local there are a number of nice walks from the property which are signposted easy to follow. The Jolly Sailor does a lovely Sunday lunch if like us you want a holiday from cooking! A great break and well worth the long drive.

Lovely Stay
We had a great stay at Christine and Barry’s cottage. The cottage itself was exactly as described, with a nice court yard and front garden space and dog friendly. My daughter particular liked the tree swing. During our stay we witnessed the potatoes being harvested in the next field - something us city folk don’t see every day! Location was also good - 30 min drive to several dog friendly beaches and walks right on the door step. I think we did all the recommendations Christine and Barry suggested. Would definitely come back.

We were welcomed by Christine, and later met Barry who are both really nice. The cottage is lovely and in a quiet location, everything you could need is already there and it is an excellent base for looking around the area. Overall a really good break!

Great little 3 bedroom annexe. With a every thing you can ask for. Nice little private patio , lovely location. Dog walks were great, just walk out the gate onto a tiny quiet lane and then in no time your on a foot path walking across fields, and surrounded by sun flowers. Cycle routes just around the corner. We all loved it! And will definitely come back ..

Milton Oak Cottage was easy to book, the owners Barry and Christine were very helpful and accommodating. The welcome gifts were very much appreciated. It was lovely having a patio area outside to Eat and relax. Our teenagers appreciated having their own space, separate bedrooms. Great WiFi, making activities easy to book. Quad biking and the shooting range, a massive hit with teenage boys. Various activities within a short drive, would recommend Hetherton activities, Quad biking, shooting and Tenby for a fishing trip. Fantastic cottage for families exploring pembrokeshire
We found the owners very welcoming and friendly, with some wine and biscuits also supplied on arrival. The property was clean and very quiet, nestled into the Pembrokeshire countryside, accessed via a quiet single track lane. Would definitely recommend if wanting to explore Pembrokeshire, with short journeys to Tenby, Bosherston, Carew, Pembroke and St David's. Despite the rural location, had fast broadband and not far from supermarkets, amenities and golf courses!

Family holiday in wales
We had a great holiday. Barry and Christine were very welcoming and friendly but also allowed us to enjoy our stay in peace. The cottage is well equipped and clean with really useful information about activities and great places to visit nearby. The cottage is down a country lane but there are shops that can be accessed with a short drive so you can buy all your food when you arrive which is great. We traveled with a teen and a younger child who both enjoyed the holiday immensely. There is also great wifi, Netflix and TV’s in the bedrooms for when people needed their own space.

Very quiet and peaceful
The cottage was very quiet and isolated, which suited us well. All the sites we want to see were within 30 miles and we had a great time travelling round to them. We also went for some walks from the property that were very pleasant. The kitchen was well equipped (above the norm for rentals), and the bedrooms were comfortable. Given the heat wave, the back patio with table, chairs, and (most importantly) a sun umbrella was very well used!

Beautiful little cottage

We had such a lovely time at “our holiday house” which what our daughter nicknamed the place, lovely and secluded, clean and plenty of room even for a Newfoundland to roam. A great comfy cottage in an amazing location
We stayed at this cottage for 4 nights. The owners are really nice and helpful and made things easy for us. The bottle of wine and chocolates to welcome us and all the information about local attractions were really appreciated! The cottage is very comfortable, with a fully equiped kitchen and all necessary things that could be needed. There are nice walks to take directly around the cottage, which is located in a quiet area about 5min drive from Pembroke! Pembrokeshire is beautiful and this cottage is the perfect place to stay and to explore this area. Would definitely go back!
