Great airport hotel

Posted 09-Apr-2014
Pros: Rooms are large and clean
Cons: Time it takes to check-in and check-out is frustratingly long. I've stayed at this hotel more than 10 times, it's always the same slow procedure
Location: If you're looking for places to go or things to do, there's nothing in reasonable distance. This is a great hotel for business travelers, but not more
The most convenient and pleasant hotel to stay in the Malpensa airport area, especially so if you're catching an early morning flight.

Convenient airport hotel

Posted 29-Mar-2014
Pros: Convenience to airport
Stayed here one night before our return flight home to the U.S. VERY convenient to Malpensa as it is at the airport. Note that this this airport is a good distance from the city so this is a great place to stay before catching a flight. Not so much as a hub for seeing Milan.

Pros: Location
Cons: Irons in rooms

Fantastic hotel. A long walk to the room but lovely inside with all the mod cons you would expect athough no irons in the room. We had to goto floor 2 & use the iron in the crew lounge area.

If you're worried about an early flight..

Posted 16-Mar-2014
Pros: Its AT the airport just next to the airport train station and its comfortable and clean. No charge for a wake up call ;)
Cons: It would be nice if they didn't nickel and dime you with extra fees for internet, swim cap, etc.
Location: Nearby: get on a plane and fly home, or get on a train and have dinner somewhere else.
My wife and daughter and I stayed at the airport Sheraton on the night before our morning flight home. If you get the right price it reduces travel stress to be staying at the airport though there are many less expensive hotels close by that offer free shuttle service. The train that comes into the airport also makes several other hotels very convenient. Staying off airport would make for better options for your last Italian dinner. Dining options at the hotel seemed over-priced and lacked a local feel. The hotel does have a pool and they require that you buy a swim cap for 5 euro to use it. We booked for 2 adults and 1 child, and our room had a king bed and a small portable bed that appeared to have been added. I expected to have to argue about an extra charge for the bed at checkout but they did not charge a fee. There was no noticeable airplane noise.

Convenient stay close to airport

Posted 14-Mar-2014
Hotel is located right at airport, having an early flight saved much time in the morning. Short walk from hotel lobby to airport check-in. Room was very clean, appeared to be recently remodeled, and was very roomy. The hotel is very large and spread out, so it can be quite a walk from your room to main lobby. The train station is conveniently located right as you enter the terminal from the hotel. Cost was reasonable at 10 euros one way to the Milan central train station, about a 45 minute ride. Be aware of return times to Malpensa as later in the evening the train schedule can spread out. WIFI was one hour free in the common areas of the hotel, but a charge for use in your room. Staff was easy to communicate with. Overall a good experience.

Comfortable, clean - perfect for T1

Posted 06-Mar-2014
Pros: Comfort, convenience, service, food
Cons: Children's options on the menu. Children's play area - there was lots of space and invaluable after or before a long flight Reasonably priced drinks
Location: Fantastic for Terminal 1 - you need to catch the free bus for Terminal 2 but it is fairly frequent.
This is very much an airport hotel - large, functional, bland and blessed with various views of the car parks. That said, My two year old twins and I had a very pleasant stay and would happily go again in similar circumstances. For T1 this is about as close as it gets - you don't even need to step outside! But, be warned, T2 (Easyjet) is some distance away and you will need to get the free 'navetta' bus. The room, in fact the hotel, was spacious, very comfortable and quiet (although the small towels were disappointing). All the staff I encountered gave excellent service - the bell boy kindly collected my bags from the room and put them on the bus for me. The food was also pretty decent in the restaurant and pizza was a reasonably priced option. On the down side, the mini bar and drinks in the restaurant were extortionately priced (4.50€ for a can of coke), I imagine the internet, TV and parking were too though I didn't use them. Also the room was some distance from the lifts which might be a problem for a less able-bodied person so would be worth checking when you book - though my sons loved stretching their legs in the long broad corridors and paid scant attention to the hideous brown colour scheme! The decor in some places was cheaply finished - carpets ruffed up, a hole in the plastic wall and light bulbs in two areas were not working but these didn't affect our stay. Overall - a good meal, comfortable nights sleep and easy transfer to the airport... So 4 stars it is.

their idea of a 'mountain view' is concrete ?!

Posted 04-Mar-2014
great hotel. cost me £102 to rest my head. 20 euros for a chicken baguette and chips (big standard yummy) this was 14 euro for the food and 6 euro for what I don't know?! breakfast was 22 euro, I passed. their idea of a mountain view was an enormous slab of concrete and a car park. as a lone woman traveller on business I just wanted to eat and hit the hay. great room, lovely staff and funky foyer. can't help thinking they put me in a rubbish room though

Nice hotel, close to the airport.

TV in the room did not work, I was only staying here 1 night so it did not bother me.
