“Best downtown hotel”
Much better than four seasons. Best location downtown. Nice decor, impressive rooms.
“Condescending Attitude”
Condescending attitude - like they were doing me a favour by letting me stay at their hotel!!!! No real interest in guest satisfaction so I guess this comment will go nowhere other than to vent my frustration!
“Loved Loved the hotel.”
This hotel was beautiful. Every corner I turned I was in awe. The staff were very friendly. The pool was heated and went on forever. The bedroom was to die for. I would recommend the hotel to anyone and everyone. Cannot say enough. There is also a little village near by with several resturants. Not far from the Port of Miami or the Airport. Go you will no be disapointed.
“Definitely 5-Star Plus in Miami”
This is a fabulous hotel and the staff cannot do enough to help you. Our room was wonderful (tip: ask for one overlooking the water front beside the bridge, it's fascinating watching the road bridge rise to allow larger boats in or out). The facilities are excellent - the 65 metre swimming pool on the 15th floor is to die for. We had a great stay.
“You'll pay $34/night for parking, you'll pay $10/night for internet, service was mediocre”
You'll pay $34/night for parking, you'll pay $10/night for internet, service was mediocre. While checking out, they could not locate my car, i was running late to catch my plane but was left waiting outside for my car for 30 minutes the front desk person did not seem to care, I had to keep going back in and asking, so that he'll get up and do something about it. The only upside is the rooftop pool, which due to the monsoon that hit, i couldn't even enjoy. I found the service mediocre, polite at most but definitely not impressed nor anything close to a 4 or 5 star, overheard the parking valet attendants making a racist comment about me in spanish to my face thinking i wouldn't understand. They might have a nice view (if you can get a bay view, which i called in to request since 2 weeks prior to my stay, and they did not honor-hard to believe it wasn't available) and a big rooftop pool, but certainly they have a long way to go to come close to the quality of professional service you'll receive from hotels like the Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental. Disappointed, overpriced.
“Nice Hotel”
Nice hotel. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The room was quiet at night. Very nice rooftop pool overlooking parts of the harbor and downtown Miami. The only negative thing is that for the price paid very little is included - there is no towel service at the pool and you have to pay for wifi. I feel that for such a pricey hotel these things should not be extra. Otherwise, very nice hotel and a good stay.
“Vanessa”
Front desk was very unhelpful. Note, you can't have a room facing the water. Only the city. Location isn't great either.
“Beautiful property, but disappointing service”
You really want to like this place. A well done hotel with an unbelievable view in a great area... but the service is disppointing if you can even get any. No issue resolution, no service at the pool... It's just disappointing. On the upside, if they can fix the service, it's a great place.
“Great Experience”
Overall a beautiful hotel. We got there a few minutes before check in time and they told us our room was not ready, so they upgraded us. The people and staff were really friendly, and I must say they were really patient and courteous - I witnessed the staff handling a difficult situation with some other guests at the front desk, and they did a great job, I was impressed. Kudos to them! I would come back to the Viceroy or recommend them based on the beautiful hotel and the welcoming and nice staff. The only down side is the parking - mandatory valet $34.
“Fantastic Stay”
The Viceroy was absolutely wonderful. Our one bedroom suite was beautiful and the hotel staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking to stay in Downtown Miami.
