The lady who checked us in would not let us use the elevator. Another lady came up to us as we started the stairs and said use the elevator. The check in clerk, older white lady, said no elevator. The other lady looked at her with shock when the clerk told her in German we are not to use the elevator. I have a hip, knee and shoulder replacement. This was a struggle and not nice of her. We found and used the elevator from then on The people in the morning on our check out were wonderful
The staff was very helpful, even though they were busy.
The location worked great for us, out of the busy city but still close enough to enjoy city attractions.

Lovely hotel with amazing breakfast. Unfortunately shower head was in disrepair.
we were looking for a hotel out of town and found this on the internet. It was great - view from balcony was of woods and nature. Had a small creek running through the property. Service and food were good. Price was right. I would recommend it

Pleasant stay, staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was disappointing and tired, WiFi was intermittent in the room. Hot water temperature would fluctuate irrespective of what time of day used. Shame as the location of the hotel was tranquil and impressive.
Very nice location to relax. Close proximity to Trier for sightseeing! The room was very comfortable for German standards, service was excellent and the breakfast was the best on the entire trip!

Nice stay
Service was great, everyone was friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was wonderful.
Good food (breakfast and dinner), right on the bike path, quiet, small quaint town, friendly staff, and dog friendly, easy drive into Trier, and other Mosel river towns

Nice hotel, great surroundings awful staff
Hotel is in the middle of vineyards beside a stream.
The fittings are simple but clean and adequate.
The breakfast is ample
The downside is the service. It took nearly an hour to get a simple pizza and the beer arrive 20 minutes after that.
The hotel wasn't crowded but service still took an age. Waiters vanished for 20 minutes at a time.
I thought that the german reviews on trip advisor were exaggerating but, if anything, they were being polite
Wonderful reception. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food! The bed was a little hard for my taste, but the room offered everything needed and it was quiet.

There were various dead and alive bugs in the shower when we arrived. Otherwise, the room seemed fairly clean and comfortable.
Rural location makes this a very pleasant place to stay. A cool beer by the water wheel was just what we needed on arrival. The food is hearty and makes use of local produce. Do note that the hotel is not in the village itself but in tha valley below. Google map is not helpful so it may be worth a look at the hotel's own website to plan your journey.
Real Deal, not too fancy, but great surroundings. Great food and excellent wine from the family operated yard. When checking out, we had to adjust the total bill by 28 Euro. Hope that was an honest mistake by the frontdesk.

Quaint little place
This was a cute little hotel in a rural setting; however, there was no air conditioning and it was not a quiet place to stay. We heard everyone walking and talking near our door and windows.
The hotel was excellent value. The breakfast included was fresh and we'll stocked. The restaurant dinner was excellent and well priced.
The room was clean and had a lovely garden view. The location was beautiful, away from the town of Trier by about 15 minutes, set in vineyards and countryside. The town itself is charming.
We stayed here with our three young children in the quadruple room. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our room had a king size bed and two twins. My children loved the playground onsite. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the hotel. We are still talking about how much we loved the schnitzel! Our room included a free breakfast and it was very nice too. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again and will recommend this nice place to our friends. It was also very close to Trier's historical sites.

Beautiful Setting, Pleasant Stay
We made the mistake of not getting the exact directions to this hotel. We were told at the information center at the Trier train station to take the #30 bus to get to the hotel. Luckily someone on the bus told us what to do once we got off the bus. From the bus stop there is a 15 minute walk from the bus stop. The walk is beautiful!!!! But if your mobility is limited or if your luggage is excessive, take a taxi or rent a car.
The room was comfortable. The view from our porch was a vineyard, geese, pigs, apple trees, and a stream. It was lovely!!!
We enjoyed the generous breakfast. We ate two dinners in the restaurant and definitely enjoyed our meals.
Used this hotel as a stop off driving from the UK. Easy enough to find using the Sat Nav but may have struggled without it. Restaurant was good for an evening meal and served until quite late. Breakfast was fine. We had booked a quadruple room but were given 2 doubles. Not an issue for us as the kids are older but could have been for others. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at this inn. It is located about 5 miles outside of Trier in vineyard country and is what you vision for a wine country inn. The room was clean and simply furnished. This hotel had the best TV and cable of any place we stayed in Germany during our week. What really made us happy with the hotel's wonderful outdoor dinning / bar area and the fact the hotel is located on a scenic 50KM walking- biking trail that runs along a stream surrounded by vineyards. The location of this hotel is great!
We had a litle trouble finding it but once we did we were very happy to have booked a stay here. the rooms aren't fancy but the location is completely lovely--in the middle of a green area with animals and wine growing. The place had an excellent restaurant that is very popular--people travel to get to it and we had a couple of fine meales there. The breakfasts were also very nice.
