Royam Hotel is said to be a 4-star hotel, but by who's definition? Seems 2 or 3 max would be more like it. TV reception was fuzzy on all channels with only one English channel, CNN. Internet connectivity was sketchy at best, and that was only available in the lobby area.
The pool was very nice, cleaned daily. There were plenty of lounge chairs with nice new pads.
The breakfast was simple but fresh with choice of eggs and crepes, but only processed meat slices and only one type of cheese (no grilled ham, bacon, sausages), not what a typical 4-star hotel would offer (less than what it should be).
Staff were very friendly and polite but only 2 men could speak English well enough to help us.
Beach area was clean with lots of lounge chairs available. We were there during low season, so maybe that helped.
We were in the basic room, and that's what it was, basic. But hey, you get what you pay for. The cost was the best (lowest) in the area for being on the beach with buffet breakfast included. We would stay here again and would recommend it to friends who are on a tight budget for their hotel.
