Just wonderful! Fabulous location. Very helpful and friendly host. Welcoming locals. Great walks. Clean, comfortable room with everything you could possibly need. Good breakfast included. Will definitely return.

Owners couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. They went the extra mile to ensure we were warm and cosy as snow fell outside! Wonderfully tasty breakfast

Lovely little B&B the rooms are comfortable and clean. The bathroom and separate shower is superb. Anne who owns it is lovely and can’t do enough for you. Aside from the lovely cooked breakfast in the morning it’s nice to have a cup of tea and a slice of home baked cakes on your return! Highly recommended all round!

Highly recommended.
We stayed just for one night, and was ideal location for visiting peak district. The stay is clean simple accomodation, with a very polite and accomodating host. We visited Chatsworth house which was only about 1/2 hour away.The TV was not a smart TV. Not an issue for us but not so good if netflix etc important to you. Good pub grub at the Kings Head pub, just 5 mins walk away. Big portions though. Could have shared a meal. The attached tea room is where you have your breakfast. Lots of choice - Full breakfast was just the ticket for me. Vegetarian option also available. Personally if we went again I'd get there for 2pm and have one of the many homemade cakes for sale with a cup of tea in the tea room to settle in. I think it closes about 4pm Nice to have private bath and separate shower. Overall, really enjoyed everything. Thanks to the owner

Lovely little B&B
Great little B&B with easy access to The Dales .Room was comfortable with plenty of tea/coffee & toiletries. In a quiet location & the proprietor was very helpful & friendly.Great choice of breakfast enough to set you up for a day of walking. My only niggle was the green emergency light in the room so my advice is to bring a mask . I would definitely come here again

It was in a quiet village above a lovely tea room with good quality breads and cakes. Gluten free options were great. Would go again.

Pleasant staff and service great food and lovely room/bathroom. 10/10 for everything. Only problem is buses not reliable and if you don’t have a car it’s an hour walk(parts uphill) . If you’ve got a car it’s great.

Very nice BnB enjoyed our weekend, would definitely use again if in the area. It is in a pretty village only a few miles down lovely lanes where you can see the surrounding countryside to local historical sites.

good stay at the fountain tea rooms
room was clean with no nasty smells,bed was comfortable,big stain on the carpet outside the bedroom door let the room down a bit, traveled to the two pubs in walking distance, which was most pleasurable. Full breakfast was nice and plentyfull, staff were very pleasant .

It’s a pretty village. This property not too good for anyone with mobility issues. Steep slope to the entrance door, accommodation on first floor and step into the bathroom. Rooms a bit cramped but clean, very good freshly cooked breakfast. Can recommend The Boat in Cromford for great evening meals and friendly service.

Wonderful stay in a very clean small but perfectly formed B&B …..if in this area again we would book this place again in a heartbeat. Overall - breakfast, large, hot and more than enough for most appetites, B&B very clean, room large enough for two adults no problems, the room is warm and we had a great nights sleep

Ideal location for exploring Matlock and area
A 6 minute drive to the park and ride for illuminations. Parking in front of the b and b which is in a small village. Very clean comfortable room with both bath and shower. Local pub a 4 minute walk with a village shop behind b and b. As this is attached to a tea room excellent breakfast

Friendly and welcoming staff. Clean , tidy and well presented room and entrance area. Breakfast was amazing and very tasty! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had separate shower and bath. The staff were presumably from the village and were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I liked the fact that the tearooms were open to the public as well as guests for Breakfast and made for some good conversation. Must make sure you have your hiking legs on as it is in a valley but is very beautiful and somewhat magical.
