Location was great, however, the room was very small and had plumbing issue. In addition, the front desk staff were not professional and welcoming.

I really don’t think this is a four star hotel. They advertise air conditioning but that’s a lie - they refuse to enable it. If it had been any hotter the room would have been unbearable. Big deal breaker. On the positive side - breakfast spread was pretty good - staff were helpful and aided us in setting up a tuk tuk tour - location is great, right next to the Sassi

The rooms seem to be newly renovated, but the renovation was poorly designed. Examples: the room was badly lit, with and option to light the bottom of the bed but no light over the desk. Bathroom had a bidet as far from the toilet as possible (even though there was space just next to it). No hooks to hang the towels. "Modern" shower floods the whole bathroom.

The hotel location is excellent. Few steps away from the main square. Our room was sparkling clean and we loved the breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, too!

wonderful time and stay
The hotel is near the main Piazza and entrance to sassi. Less than 10 minutes walk from FAL train station. My single room was spacious and comfortable. I felt very safe and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast was perfect. I could save some for snack later.

Excellent location in matera. Car parking available and easy access. More local information could be supplied at check in and parking fee could be advised.

Modern hotel in good locatio
Modern hotel, centrally located. Safe parking under hotel....$$ but they said we could leave the car there until 4pm. Our main complaint was that the room was very hot and they said they could done nothing. The girl at reception was very good with answering our questions and giving recommendations. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip.

If you are driving, it's a great hotel just steps from the main plaza in Matera. Parking garage underneath. Wifi was unreliable. Breakfast was good. If you don't need reliable wifi, it's a great location in Matera.

Good for basic stay
More sweet than savoury options at breakfast. Waiters at breakfast were more interested in cleaning tables in half-empty breakfast room than getting coffee orders. Parking was not free (10 euros per night). Rooms were simple and clean, and location is good right next to main square.

Close to train station and sassi
More like a business hotel, modern and comfortable. Tugging a suitcase around southern Italy for two weeks with a one night stay at Matera . . . I was more interested in convenience and comfort than staying in a historic hotel for this part of trip. Met my needs exactly, friendly staff and several restaurants nearby.

Perfect location at the heart of the old city.
Everything about this hotel was perfect - from the greeting received at reception, our lovely rooms so quiet and comfortable, and the magnificent buffet breakfast. I cannot rate or recommend it too highly.

Good Location and good value
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay here; the staff was friendly and very helpfull for places to go for dinner and drinks. Very close to the main Piazza, but not actually in the old city so don't expect the "cave" style apartments/hotels that are more well known in the area. Parking garage was a huge plus to have as Matera is very busy in the summer months. We would stay here again.

Great 4 star hotel, great location and great value
Business hotel that caters nicely for couples, singles & business travellers. The hotel itself is situated really close to the entrance to the sassi or the old town full of stone houses and cathedrals. The maze is fantastic to walk through. The hotel is excellent, off street parking, the room very nice, bathroom lovely and great value. Would stay again without hesitation.

Le centre ville à 1 minute
Hôtel plus 3 étoiles sur 4. Malgré une rénovation des équipements, on sent le poids des ans. La langue française... inconnue ! Super avantage, on est en plein centre-ville.
