"Very nice welcome from the lady in reception (warm cookies a brilliant touch). The hotel is brilliant, the bar, restaurant, rooms and the little fitness centre. Only missing a pool/spa. The only negative element was the parking; £15 for 15 hours, not many spaces and very cramped. Would be better used as a pool and spa and use the car park on the corner ;) Very satisfied with the stay!"

"Hotel was very well situated, with plenty of eating places nearby and eas walking access into the city. The train station was about a 5 minute walk away. Would stay here again."

"Only 16 rooms in an interesting historical building. Lovely grounds and walks adjacent with birds and squirrels. Enjoyed the food, the ambience of the bar and restaurant, nice bedroom with modern bathroom (yet "olde worlde" with roof timbers)"

"Lots of parking close to reception. Check in was efficient. The bedroom was large, clean and well equipped, with two double beds. The bathroom had plenty of room too. Access to the leisure centre was included. Large pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. All were a decent size. Lots of choice for breakfast with helpful staff. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. "
