“convenient and comfortable”
It was close to where we needed to be, and provided us with what we needed.
“Nice overnight”
We were in town for a family gathering - so all we were interested in was a clean and convenient place to sleep. This hotel met those expectations well. The continental breakfast was acceptable and the wireless internet quite good. We liked being close to an exit from I-93.
“Want to go back”
The La Quinta I stayed at was just amazing. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast tasted divine. The service I had was memorable. I hope to visit again.
“Just OK, nothing fancy but OK.”
For the low price it was OK. It was quiet, clean and safe. The toilet didn't flush right and wall paper was coming off near the window, simple things to fix so I don't know why they are like that. Breakfast wasn't much, cereal, bagels, fruit and yogurt. It was the lowest price hotel in the area, so you get what you pay for.
“Good value”
We were guests at a wedding where most people stayed at the hotel across the street. This hotel was half the price of the other . We didn't need a full service restaurant or indoor pool. The room was recently remodeled, had flat screen TV and everything else we could need. My son needed shaving cream and he easily received a travel size at the front desk. The free breakfast was more than adequate. One annoying thing was that you could hear the doors closing in the rooms nearby. The bathroom floor could have been cleaned a little more in the corners. Overall this was a very good value that I would recommend.
“Not Impressed - Wouldn't Stay Here Again”
Initial impression from the outside was "Ohh, this was a mistake." Our impression on the inside wasn't much better. Cleanliness was so-so, there were obvious maintenance items that needed to be addressed, and the advertised "pool" was a leaf-ridden pond hidden behind the back parking lot. The room was very basic; though they appeared clean, the beds were made loosely and gave the impression that either they were poorly made or that the sheets weren't changed from the previous occupant. The two bonuses were free in-room wi-fi and the continental breakfast was better than most - the make-your-own waffle stations saved the day.
“Suffice if you can't find any other hotels.”
Every year I take my daughter and my sister shopping in Salem NH and for the last 3 trips we have stayed at the Laquinta Inn. I was so disappointed with this trip. The front desk clerk just gave me my room key and never bothered to tell me which floor and where was the best place to park. I had asked for a non-smoking room and when we got upstairs it was clearly a smoking room. Went back downstairs and she acted like I was putting her out to be put in another room. Finally, at 1130pm just as we are off to sleep, 2 young boys (8-9yrs old) were playing with a ball in the hallway with no parents in sight. They kept giggling and when I opened the door to ask them to quiet down, they were still quite noisy. I called the front desk and they addressed the problem. Then, once we fell back asleep, we could hear adults laughing and carrying on right outside our door in addition to hearing the ice machine all hours of the night! I think next year we will opt to try the Holiday Inn across the street.
“Great escape spot at New Hampshire border”
The hotel is very conveniently located at one of the first exits off Interstate 93 after crossing over from Massachusetts. It is located down the street from the park and ride area and the stop for Boston buses. We were there in the off season for the outdoor pool, but it is located at the rear of the property in a nice setting. The hotel allows pets and has plenty of space and walkways on which to take a dog. The continental breakfast is pretty decent and includes machinery to make fresh waffles. There is always someone on the desk and always polite and attentive.
“adequate for the price for airport fly out”
By far the cheapest hotel I could find near I-93. Room was good, though TV didn't work very well. No smoke smell in room, but stairway reeked of cigarette smoke. Biggest problem was (only) elevator was out of order and I was given room on 4th floor. Not a big issue for me, but for elderly would be a problem, and I was not told about it until after I had checked in. Night clerk was very friendly, but gave poor information about how much time to get to Boston Logan airport (my destination the next day). He said up to 2 hrs because of traffic. There was traffic, but only took a bit over 45 minutes. Definitely saved >$100 compared to stay/park and fly at airport hotel, but ? worth the hassle.
“Great for the price”
My son and I stayed here for a visit to UMASS Lowell. although it wasn't the closest place we could stay, it was definitely the best value for the money I paid. If you are ever visitng UMASS Lowell from afar and need a place to stay for the night, I totally recommend this place. So cheap, yet clean, good service and free breakfast (basic continental). Awesome!!
