“Good Hotel but not a five star”
Overall, very happy with this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly but not overly helpful. Good location few minutes walk to the promenade and numerous shops and restaurants. This hotel is definitely not a five star as advertisied, but very good value for the price.
“Ideal for a business trip”
We booked this hotel by reading previous reviews and was not disappointed at all. The staff were very helpful the food was fantastic and I could not fault it in any way. If I had to make one adverse comment it would be that the bells from the local church were ringing all night every half hour and did not help too much for a good nights sleep. This was the payback for a harbour view room, perhaps a room to the rear may have been quieter.. I would still use this hotel again on my next visit.
“Excellent Hotel, 5 class service”
The hotel is located 5 mins from the sea front, great restaurants and great shopping! The staff are very friendly and the hotel restaurants are of a high standard and are very competeively priced. Would stay there again no hesitation.
“third visit to this hotel hoping for many more”
professional and helpful staff, wonderful rooms TRUE 5 star hotel! Facilities excellent. This hotel ticks all the boxes, friendly without being intrusive. A lovely boutique hotel. HCA
“Not What We Expected”
Hotel OK but we felt it was not really for holidaymakers - more for business people. Breakfasts at 18.5 Euros per person were terrible - more like a cafeteria - paper napkins, no tablecloths and the hot buffet breakfast was cold. My tea cup and saucer had what I presumed was an ice cream spoon on it instead of a teaspoon and there were no side plates should you wish to have toast or bread . We sat at a table for 4 that had obviously been used earlier and re-set for 2 but the table had not been cleaned properly and the remaining two places were as the previous occupants had left them. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows but the bathroom was not up to a 5* hotel - mould in the shower and human hair (not ours) in the bathroom. We certainly weren't impressed with this hotel given the price we paid. We did think of complaining but we visited Malta for a long earned holiday and simply did not want the hassle - who wants to spend their holiday with confrontation.
“Not 5*”
Athough a comfortable hotel we did not feel it was 5*. Some of fixtures and fittings require repair or replaced. Need to have loud air conditioning on all night to drown out sound of church bells chiming all night. On a plus side, hotel in a good central position for access to all areas of Sliema.
“very nice hotel indeed”
lovely rooms and service
“sliemas best.”
stubbled across this hotel year before so booked it as daughter was getting married in malta, this aug (11) would certainly be staying there again.
“There is no other Palace in Sliema like The Palace Hotel”
The Palace hotel is like a great package - clean, good restaurant on the top floor, excellent location although not along the waterfront, very friendly staff and very close to all the boat and bus terminals. We had an amazing time at the Place. The view from our hotel was impressive. The Wifi is a the only bit that is unsatisfying, they charge 5 euros for an hour considering it is a business hotel. It should be free for all the costumers, however, there are 2 computers at the reception to use for free. Overall, The Palace hotel is genuinely great!! If you are planning to stay in Sliema then I am certain that there is no other place than the Palace!!
“Very good hotel”
This hotel is very good and staff are wonderful and friendly and smile before any talk of them as the furniture a good, comfortable and very clean but the hotel's location within a residential neighborhood and very close to the church has been tuned from the Voice of church bells, especially at night and if you're not staying at the sixth floor or higher, you will not see Sea because the buildings would block the vision but in the end remains the hotel is very good and worth the stay
