Very basic accommodation although we found everything we needed was there. Spotless clean towels and bedding, as was the apartment. Staff at the property so helpful and friendly. Building work going on right next to the apartment block but atm I dont think there are many hotels/apartments in Qawra/Bugibba that havent got building work going on by them.....

This was a great budget accommodation for the month we spent in Malta. Close proximity to restaurants and the main bus station made life easy. Julia was excellent with communication and was always available. We were there in low season (January) but most places were open. We had a great time and Shamrock apartment was a great place to stay.

Location near bus station near Bugibba and supermarket closeby. Building is a bit old and outdated, but very clean and housekeeping is very good. Apartment has pretty much everythung you need. And communication with host is very good, they will reply and provide you if you need something extra. Very friendly. Decent accomodation if you are looking for long term affordable accomodation.

We had never stayed before & found the Shamrock on Hotels.com. we wanted somewhere local to stay where we know. Very clean & comfortable, great customer service & communication & great value for money. Would stay again & recommend.

The appointment was very hemmed in. We had to keep the doors and curtains closed because of the building work opposite. They were building another apartment block opposite and it almost within touching distance. Very noisy with no privacy. This made the rooms very hot. As a base to explore its very well situated.

The location of the property was excellent. I like the cleansiness of the property and the fact that it had all the necessary ammendities. The pool was very cold though and not at 5ft which wasn't suitable for my 5 year old son but everything else was perfect.

Basic but clean
The apartment was quite basic and dated but clean. The price says it all. Could have done with more kitchen utensils etc cushions on sofa and a lamp. The room we had had a balcony but overlooked a tower block under construction. Would use again as we werent in the apartment that much. Bugibba has everything you need and apartment is central to everything.

A little disappointing but very cheap
Started badly when the requested transfer was absent and couldn't get an answer by phone - apparently an email was sent but we never received it. We were cold and wet when we arrived, so lack of any obvious heating was a concern - though this was quickly fixed. The a/c unit giving the heat was only in the main bedroom, so took a while to heat everywhere else. Apartment was clean but a little tatty in places (door frames warped etc.). Kettle provided needed the gas cooker which is an odd choice - Malta doesn't have mains gas so expected the bottles to run out at any moment. No tea/coffee or shampoo/shower gel/soap provided and only 1 toilet roll. 2 towels each, but not changed during week (getting them dry obviously tricky). Bed comfortable, duvet warm (thankfully), pillows thick but a little lumpy. Our room had only 1 half-sized balcony right next to building entrance - no privacy, barely room for 2 chairs.

very enjoyable stay at Shamrock
The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well placed, near to shops, bars, restaurants and bus station. Due to covid, good systems were in place for collecting keys etc. and any communication was by email. They responded very quickly to request. Would recommend to family and friends.

Accomodation was large and clean, with 2 balconies. There is a lift to all floors. Close to town centre, shops etc. Roof pool was nice, and always got a sunbed The only 2 minor minuses are. Parking isn’t always available. Although we didn’t need it aircon is £55 a week.

Apartment location facilities and condition - The apartment block itself is just behind Tourist Street. Just a few minutes walk from quite a few bars and restaurants. It's 10 minutes walk to the square. It has a lift to all floors and there is a small sunbathing area (about 12 sunbeds, but we had the whole area to ourselves most of the time) and a small pool on the roof (Pool was freezing in May, but I think it would be good in the really hot months). The only thing I would suggest you consider is that there are about 10 steps in a semi circle to the front door, the road to the apartment is also not the best, so if you have a wheelchair I would forget it, if you walk with a stick this could be troublesome. The condition of the apartments is excellent. Rooms - We had room 12. It had two small balconies, bathroom with bath and shower (no plug in the bath though),one bedroom with a double bed, a second bedroom with two singles, a spacious kitchen / diner / lounge area with a settee and chair. TV and Wi-Wi is available and free. I arranged a taxi with the hotel. I would suggest doing this. Driver was prompt and polite, and it was €20 each way. You pay the hotel directly. Would I stay here again? Absolutely

The apartment although very basic, was large and clean with a fridge freezer, full size cooker, non-electric kettle and a toaster, the utensils provided were just about enough to get by, towels and rubbish bags were provided, a lift in working order and a phone number to contact staff if any problems.

A great stay with a very well run family, caring business that went out of their way to meet our needs. Only reason I said condition was less than excellent was because some of the fittings were of a cheap quality, otherwise everything excellent.

Nice and central with free parking
Very pleased with what I got for the money I paid. Very clean room with double bed and kitchen facilities. We never used the kitchen as we ate out all the time. Located on Tourist street there is free parking and you are in the middle of everything. Short stroll to Bugibba square bit bars and restaurants located next door. Great place to base for exploring the rest of Malta by car as we did, or catching a bus as the bus station is on the same road. Would stay again.

apartment was a 2 bedroom both bedrooms were a good size.1 thing i think should have been there was a microwave oven.We only stayed for a week but bed sheets and towels were not changed,checked when we got home and it did say they got changed every 7 days Not the best place to get to up a side street and a dozen steep steps.Small pool on roof,great view over Buggiba and the sea.

More thought needed about guest comfort
Stayed here with my son for a week in early February. The apartment was clean and towels and bedclothes provided. If you plan on staying more than a night or two and intend to cook you'll need to supply kitchen knives, (a bread knife is not a universal instrument in the kitchen), washing up items (detergent, clothes, brushes etc), refuse sacks, cooking foil, salt, pepper etc as nothing from the previous guests is left behind (we gave ours to other guests on the morning we left, on principle). The apartments are a 10 minute walk from the main town area and in that regard are well placed. The apartment was very spartan, but if you don't intend spending much time in it, it's good value for money.

We went to chill out after Christmas and found the shamrock apartments very clean. The room was very big and had obviously been recently refurbished. We really enjoyed our stay and the people were very friendly. We would definitely go back but would probably go at a different time of the year as the weather in December was wet and windy.

Simple but fine
This apartment hotel is really worth its price. It's close to several attractions and has ample parking space. There are shops and plenty of places to eat nearby. The owners were friendly. The apartment is fairly basic, but it does provide everything you need for a week or so, not the least a properly functioning wifi. The only minus was the lack of adequate heating. The electric heater provided could not cope with the unusually cold weather we were unfortunate to have (in the period between 27.12.2014 and 04.01.2015). You should also be aware that hot water is a scarce resource, not only at Shamrock, but generally in Malta.

Room cosy and clean, but the studio apartment may be somewhat lacking cooking utensils for a long stay but would be perfectly adequate for a weeks holiday. Owner veer friendly .. Rooftop pool area small but looked nice for warmer weather.

Great apartment in central location
The Shamrock is ideally situated next to a tourist street with restaurants, bars, bus station, classic car museum and the sea front all close by. The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable with two balconies and a small roof-top pool. The owners were very friendly and helpful with advice on buses and taxis. My only small criticism was the "double bed " was two singles pushed together and made up as a double. Consequently, they would drift apart and create a gap in the middle!! The beds were comfortable though. I would stay there again and think it was good value for the money paid.

Perfect for everyone
We were very happy with our stay at Shamrock Apartments. The rooms are extremely spacious - two bedrooms and two balconies. The room was clean - no bugs - and has a fully equipped kitchenette. Perfect for breakfast. The rooftop swimming pool is small but a great way to cool off. Best of all, Shamrock is situated a stone's throw from one of the best restaurant streets. La Stalla's pizza was divine! All in all, super affordable and friendly staff.
