A great well located hotel. Evening buffet is well worth the money; different theme every night; with a lot of choice. First time we have seen computerised lifts, a nice touch! We were very satisfied and would love to return.

Impressive Hotel with wonderful views of the sea.

Pros: Modern, buzzing, amazing aromatherapy in lobby, their own perfume apparently. Art hotel. Always endeavor to please the customer. The spa is wonderful.
Cons: The bars in the lobby. I found the staff really unhelpful and a bit aloof. Possibly because they also cater for non residents.
After a disappointing beginning, with internet charges, busy staff with a dismissive attitude, I made a complaint to the duty manager who immediately reassured me, cancelled all internet charges for my weeks stay and my meal on room service was on the house. I really began to relax and enjoy the Hotels impressive facilities. My room was very comfortable with a fabulous bathroom with bath and heating was excellent as Malta is quite cold in March. The spa treatments are wonderful and highly recommended. The spa manager is so helpful and kind. I explored the local area which is very cosmopolitan and enjoyed fresh fish lunches a short walk away in Spinola bay every day! Sliema is very close with great shopping, Tigne Point mall is very modern with some good fashion shops. All in all I'm very satisfied with my stay at Le Meridian and would definitely recommend it.

Awful pretty much sums up the experience. Upon arriving at the hotel we had to queue to check in (this was low-season). The receptionist failed to tell us anything about the hotel (restaurant info, bar info, room info, spa info, wireless info etc). Some information would have been useful given that almost every time we tried to use one of the restaurants or bars they were closed, despite the hotel directory stating they would be open... The rooms were large - however one of the rooms we had was stiflingly hot, with the air conditioning system only blowing out warm air. In the other room, the balcony overlooked a building site. All you could see was a wall of breeze blocks - I'd understand if the hotel was full and it was the only room left. The hotel was most definitely nowhere near full. The bar serving breakfast was closed when we arrived for breakfast. The restaurant serving dinner was closed when we arrived for dinner. We then saw the bar was open for dinner -after waiting around 50 minutes, some food eventually arrived, albeit not what was described on the menu. We didn't manage to use the spa (probably because we were waiting so long in reception/the restaurant to get served) so can't comment on that. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice hotel in a lovely area of Malta.

Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: Minibar pricing should be more transparent.
Location: Many restaurants and bars are close by. Valetta is only 30 minutes by bus and the buses stop in front of the hotel.
I used almost all the hotel facilities and I enjoyed it. Staying at this hotel is very relaxing.

An Average Le Meridien Hotel not like you'd expect

Pros: Location which is walking distance to Sliema and PaceVille.
Cons: Breakfast and lounges. Reception area can do with some fragrance and nice lounge music.
Location: Great location.
I have stayed at many Le Meridien's around the world but this one must have been the most average of them. Most disappointing was the breakfast which is a 2-Star quality where the service and food quality is below standard and only Le Meridien were they charge extra for Cappuccino/Late. I recommend to head down the road to U Bistrot restaurant for a good quality restaurant and great cappuccino for a better price & quality. Overall the rooms were ok but the toilets were small and in separate mini-room as most Malta hotels. Shower was ok. Bed and pillows are ok. However, furniture and decor are basic and not impressive. Location is very good being close to Sliema and Paceville/St. Julian's Bay.
