Nice hotel shame about the staff

Pros: The pool and gardens were very pleasant, but the hotel had a lot of maintenance issues.
Cons: Staff being sent on customer service training and how to help not hinder customers
Staff on reception very abrasive. I turned up at 1.30pm to check in, we were slightly early and was told to come back between 2 and 2.30pm. I told the staff that check in was at 2pm, their response was well the room is not ready. We went to have a drink and went back at 2.35pm. No smiling staff, just people who looked like they did not want to be there, they checked to see if the room was ready but yet again it was not, no apology. I then requested to see the manager by this time it was 2.50pm. I explained tat this is a short holiday in this particular hotel and we were losing valuable time. Still no apology.. Then miraculously they gave us another room, why didn't they do this befor?. All through our stay we found the hotel staff unhelpful. The food was not much better.i wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel unless you have too.

Hotel clean rooms basic but sea view rooms have a brilliant view of Valletta. Pool area at the front of hotel is very nice.

Great hotel with million dollar view of Valetta

Lovely hotel with fab breakfast and best of all is the pool areas right on the harbour with ladders down to the sea for swimming. 2 nice pools. Adult one is deep Nd salt water. Awesome! The room was small And bed was hard but I'll trade that for the view and swimming Anyday

Make sure you get what you pay for!

Pros: There are a lot of restaurants on site and most of the staff are pleasant and welcoming.
Cons: The reception staff we very matter of fact and not very apologetic when shown a room that would not accommodate 5 adults comfortably
Location: There is a shopping centre next to the hotel and many shops and restaurants within 5 minutes of the hotel.
On arrival I was told that I had been given a suite comprising of 3 rooms instead of the 2 delux rooms accommodating 5 adults. When shown the room it was dark, dirty, small and not clean. After refusing the room I was then given what I had paid for which were two amazing rooms, then to my surprise we were then upgraded to a spa suite in the 5 star resort. All I can say is AMAZING!! This room was a complete contrast to the first room that I saw and made our holiday. Thank you.

Fabulous location

Pros: The location is fab. Lovely heated indoor pool as outdoor pool was cold. Breakfast is lovely with unbeatable views to Valletta
Cons: Maybe investment in new beds. Also drinks are very expensive at the pool, even soft drinks and coffee.
Location: Easy access to the whole of Malta and Gozo by bus or boat. Great restaurants and shops in easy walking distance
We had a fab 10 day stay. A great improvement on our choice of hotel last year!

Good facilities and location

Pros: Nice spacious room. Spa facilities are good.
Cons: Didn't like the pressure to go to the time share presentation after breakfast.
Location: Lovely view across to Valetta. Short walk to restaurants and ferries.
Good choice of restaurants and bars, along with a spa.

Hotel is ideally situated for a business trip, there is a taxi rank at the hotel which always has plenty of taxi's. Just make sure you agree a price before departing as there seems to be no set fares.

Upgraded to five star, that is more of a four star

We received an upgrade to the 5 star next door so review is for this. Room was spacious and clean on arrival. Toiletries not replaced during the stay and one day with no towels replacing the ones taken. Noisy hotel, could hear fully people in rooms either side of us, a quiet cough sounded like they were in our room. View was good, location great. We didn't use the food facilities, had breakfast at cafes nearby. Lifts not working on last day, thankfully we were second floor only. No major issues but lots of small ones that are annoying more than anything. Bed comfy. Staff polite but not eager to help. Four star not five. Wouldn't be in a rush to go back.

Great position close to Tigne Point

Pros: location good for end of Marathon.
Cons: parking opportunities appalling.you either had to pay a high tariff in the nearby Tigne Point Shopping area or be prepared to walk at least 30 minutes
Location: On main Seafront thoroughfare.tend to be pestered by a multitude of boat bus and hop on hop off sellers when walking along.
Booked in for 2 nights for Malta Marathon.Breakfast buffet style but traditional for uk residents and lots of it although quality a bit canteen style.staff removed empty dishes very quickly.fruit juices came out of a machine and we're very ordinary. Taxi arrived promptly and cost reasonable in eu terms.Lots of elderly retired in hotel on economy breaks and entertainment was an organist Blackpool style.Nearby Terrace Restaurant whilst part of group lacked good service standards.You had to ask for Mayonaisse,Black Pepper and even Napkins and the chips arrived 5 minutes after the main meals were served and no apology apart from the fact that the Kitchen was busy!

only used for a few hours sleep only due to poor for flight times. We then booked in the 5 Star room which is greatly upgraded.
