A great location. We booked a one bed with bunk beds in the front. Only the main room bed was made up, we had to do the bunk beds. The floor tiles had large cracks in them w due here. There was quite a bit if dirt under the beds. The cabin seemed shift/lean when we moved to one side.

Thank you Leanne we appreciate all feedback to improve our Park. We do have plans in place to upgrade Cabins and invite you to return to enjoy the new refurbished rooms. Feedback has been discussed with Mackay Discovery Park staff and our standards is to have the bottom bunk bed made up, and top bed to have linen provide for guest if needed. Procedures are put into place to improve cleanliness of all cabins.

Admin ladies were very wonderful to speak in upon check-in. Cabin exterior wasn’t suitable for small children as there was no barrier around balcony and no safety railing for stairs. Other than that, we would stay again, as cabin was clean and tidy.

Thank you for staying with Discovery Parks Mackay, we are pleased your stay was good. All our Cabins have been assessed with both Discovery Park and Mackay City Council WHS departments and have been approved safe with all height regulations. BUT for the safety of all our guest Mackay Discovery Park is putting Railings on all our Cabins, as you would have seen on the other cabins next to your accommodation. We do have 2 to complete and unfortunately you stayed in one of these cabins. These will be completed within the next Couple of weeks. We welcome you to come back in the near future to enjoy our hard work to make our park the Best park in Mackay. This is a Constance for our park and will continue to do so in the future. We always welcome our guest to come to our Office to discuss concerns you have, and we would be happy to give you a guided tour of our park, including current and future projects.

The staff here were friendly and kind. They gave us a complimentary room upgrade and even some free Squidjigs and rods to enjoy. We caught two fish making our stay here memorable. Great amenities, refreshing pools, splash play area, and kart hire were fantastic. Wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Neat park, laid out nicely, small pools and only the one slide. Putt putt was fun but pretty cramped. Lovely staff and jump mat were highlights. Lowlights were dust and lollies and wrappers under the pullout sofa and overpowering bleach smell throughout cabin. Proximity to mangroves mean that bug spray and mozzie coils are ESSENTIAL!

The hot water in the shower was broken, after alerting to staff to the problem the response was surprise but with no offer of getting it fixed or alternative. A cold shower on a cold winters morning was definitely not how I wanted to start my day

The cabin we had had a used Band-Aid left on the shower partition & the benches hadn’t been cleaned. There was also hair in the shower & pubic hair in the toilet.

The pool and splash park were amazing. However, the units were not very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful but overall a bit disappointing.

All your family could need and more!
We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa. It was clean, tidy, comfortable and looked after. The kitchen had all the utensils and crockery you could need for your family. The only thing missing is an oven. But there’s a double stove top and microwave with a full size kitchen. The staff at the big 4 were super friendly and look after you well. The amenities and play areas are well maintained and lots of fun. A great stay for our family.

We expected a bigger swimming pool with slide as it was in a picture but the slide was under repair. The cabin was clean but very small and a little bit smelly. They had all required amenities there and they asked to leave them clean otherwise there was a penalty in place. Cabins were close together so you could hear the noise from the other cabin. It is close to the road so you can hear all the traffic too. It was nice to have a comfortable bed and tv in our bedroom.

I liked how it had its own little lake where you could take the kids fishing and the place wasn't crowded so you could use all the attractions. The place was friendly as well.

Fun activities for the kids. They had lots of fun on the huge jumping pillow, playing mini golf, fishing, swimming in the pools, water slides and park. Really relaxing time for the parents.

Easy location to get too. Didn’t like the shower, felt like it was the equivalent to being stabbed by needles - should also upgrade to better internet instead of having a 500mb allowance. In this day and age you can’t do much with 500mb.. Overall satisfied with the stay, ladies in the office where friendly to deal with. :)

Well there wasnt nothing unique about it, its meant to be a friendly/family tourist park where the adults can relax and the kids can run amuck and have fun!?? But NOT AT THIS ONE- Dont let your kids run around, DO NOT HAVE ALCOHOL ANYWHERE NEAR KIDS Because That RESULTS INTO GETTIN THE COPS CALLED FOR A WELFARE CHECK!! Definetly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY IF YOU LIKE TO HAVE FUN WHILE STAYING AWAY!
