I booked a single. The room allocated was a twin so I had plenty of space. It was ideal for two people. The bathroom was a bit small but was fine. A few small things did not work and small repairs required. Window didn’t lock and the light over the sink not working. The bed was sooooo comfy and ample tea, coffee and milk provided. Breakfast was self service and the food provided was good. Hot drinks (tea coffee) were ordered via the staff along with poached/fried eggs to go with the English breakfast. Cannot comment on the evening meal as I was b/b only. The menu looked good.

Great location, nice breakfast, good value
Great location, close to shops and the beach. The staff were all very nice and friendly. There was entertainment some evenings and plenty of places to sit and relax. The room was hot and only a small window could be opened. Even though I had it open the whole 4 days, the room was much hotter than the outside temperature. The breakfast was good although not a lot of choice of cold items. The kippers and poached eggs were wonderful. I loved the English breakfast with mushrooms and beans. If I was to be a bit picky, the sausages were quite tasteless so I gave them a miss after the first day. The 50's music they played during breakfast put years on me. Not everyone was old enough to remember those songs. A bit more variety would have been nice. Or better yet, no music at all so early in the morning. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very inviting. Hopefully next time. Will definitely go back.

I enjoyed the friendliness of all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. There was a lovely pool and gym for residents use. Breakfast was very good. The room was serviced every day. Thank you for a lovely peaceful week.

Typical B&B. Room was very small and shower not the best. First room shower was very bad but reception moved me straight away. Good location, nice pool and gym. Staff very good, helpful and friendly.

Needs a Refurb
The frobt of hotel and lounge area are fine abd the staff are brilliant. We webt for 2 nights bed and breakfast and the was excellent. However, the corridors to the rooms and the room were very tired and tatty. Bedroom was a twin room but was very small abd claustrophobic. Went for a swim which was pleasant but had to book a slot which didn't really fit in with our day. Woukd gave liked to have used the gym but it was havibg work done to it abd qas closed. Therefore it seemed expensive for what we got. Orovably won't return - sorry!

A very small shower enclosure.
This was the second time I stayed at this hotel. I thought the breakfast service was a great improvement. Due to COVID it was mostly served. The last time it was buffet and unfortunately the food item containers were empty. My only proplem was the shower. I had room 228, the shower enclosure is only 18 inches wide, which is further reduced by the projection of the shower control. So no good for a larger person. The hotel's location is great. Well placed for the beach and town area.

Lovely relaxing stay, very pleasant staff from reception to waiter/waitress and domestic. All really friendly and helpful, definitely would recommend, more suitable for mature adults.

A lovely, very stylish hotel in a great location. Staff were excellent and my single room, though small, looked brand new, as did the whole hotel. Very adequate breakfast, waiter served. I would certainly stay there again as it represented top rate value for money.

The stay was good and the location was ideal for us however parking was a little bit of a struggle as the hotel was full the room was a little small for a club room the floor boards was squeaking the bed was uneven the duvet was lumpy the shower was dismally poor the pressure was very low on hot water The breakfast and dinner was adequate but not much of a selection

Wonderful reception, and public areas. However we did not get the room we booked. After looking online at the hotel we decided to book a Club room, the standard double looked tired. We were offered a standard double or 2 single rooms.. Reluctantly we took the standard double. The room 232 was dirty, dust everywhere, poor finishing to painting. The manager told us 16 hours before leaving he would move us to a suite room 301. A lovely big room but just as dirty as the room we had left. At the end of our stay the manager reduced our bill by £80. A nice gesture but it was too little too late. We had dinner and Sunday lunch which was extra, the food was really good and hot. Breakfast was nothing to write home about.

Breakfast was great on both mornings, hot plates and hot food. Server couldn’t do enough for you. Used the gym, minimal but good for while you’re away from home. Couldn’t access the pool and there was never anyone on reception to speak to, took 3 attempts to check in on arrival as there was no one around, even after ringing the bell. Check out was quick and easy. Cleaners were polite and helpful as well. Room was a good size and very clean.

This hotel appears to be in the middle of a refurbishment and front of house was nice as was the dining room although light fittings were missing. Our room was quite small as was the bathroom which was below par. The staff were all very friendly and food good.

A real life Fawlty Towers minus Spanish Waiter
When I arrived at the Hotel, the Car Park at the front was fenced off. I could see there was building Work ongoing but no signs with information & forwarning was provided. I parked on the main road to check in. After finding a way in, I spoke to Receptionist. She did not fill me with confidence and explained she had not workede there long. Directing me to rear of hotel to park and gave me key fob. The rear access is quite a drive. After unloading the car, the key fob to get in did not work. I had a long walk with luggage and found a side entry in. I told the Receptionist & told her that i would be in late and as loong as there was a Night Porter to let me in, it's fine. I got in around 1.30am not able to get in the front entrance. I had a 5 minute walk in the rain & found 4 other guests with same problem. We eventually got in after banging on doors for about 5 minutes, the Night Porter bollocked us for making a noise and was told to complain to the manager. I did complain to the Manager, who apologized but offered nothing in terms of any sort of acknowledgemwnt or understanding of not being to get into the Hotel. Had my wife who isd disabled been with me it does not bear thinking about. The situation is so ridiculous it was like an Episode of Fawlty Towers but really occurred. Worst part was the reaction to my complaint. A great weekent ruined by a terrible experience with my accommodation..

Ideal stay for a business trip
Needed a comfortable and restful stay before an important business meeting. Despite the minor renovation work at the front of the hotel, we were all very pleased with the facilities, quality of the rooms and the service. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff very attentive and courteous.

Nice hotel, arrive early for food, ask for lg room
They stopped doing food at 6pm I arrived at 6.30. I had to walk round the corner about 10 mins to find a restaurant, the good news was I found a very nice Thai restaurant. The hotel was a good value hotel with very small pool. My room was very small and a tiny bathroom.i recommend paying more for a bigger room.
