Thank you for your review and taking time to comment we have contacted the cleaners and asked them to look into this. A deep clean was conducted in April we had new carpets put down in Feb. It may have been nice for you to message me at the time of arrival to inform me of this and I would have asked the cleaner to pop in and solve this for you instead you log it here a month later and never once mention this. We like many other owners on site do not stay near however our cleaner is in the next town along. As for the decking I have now reported this to shorefield who will sort the issue out again without being informed it is difficult to solve a problem you are unaware of.

Thank you for you review I spoke to shorefield about the incident and they appologied for the inconvience that you had during your stay. We will ensure that there are extra blankets. The shower head has been replaced and is working perfectly im so sorry that this upset your holiday.

Many thanks for your feedback, although we were disappointed to read that you stay did not meet expectations. Following your comments left in the guest book on site, we had provided your feedback to our cleaner (who has alway maintained exceptional standards). Nevertheless as a precautionary measure the lodge has been deep cleaned thoughtout. Pillows and bedding had been recently refreshed for this season so I am surprised to learn that you had found them to have deteriorated as described, I will investigate this further. Apologies about the absence of the BBQ, it had been replaced only recently, but damaged by guests over the summer and only recently disposed of at the end of August. Given the winter season we did not anticipate it would be used, and intended to replace again in readiness for the next summer season. Regarding comments of location, the 'busy' road is actually a country lane with the odd passing car, separated from the lodge by some land. Quite different to your reported experience of constant traffic noise? (For the benefit of other future guests, please feel free to check this out on Google maps). In terms of the location the site benefits from being rural, and yes does have some trees nearby along one side. Other 3 aspect are open. Perhaps a more urban location would have suited your requirements better? We always welcome, feedback and constantly ensure any genuine issues are promptly attended to. I would encourage guest to read the feedback comments from our other recent guests to get a more accurate and balanced view of the property.

Hello I'm sorry you felt that the cleanliness of the lodge did not meet your expectations. We did report this to our cleaner at the time who was extremely surprised and concerned, so much so she attempted to pop in so any issues could be resolved. Unfortunately you were not available. Having used a few different cleaners in the past we have found our current cleaner to maintain a very good, consistent high standard, which has generally been appreciated and reflected in other guests comments. Of course we appreciate your feedback too, although we did find it a little unexpected, we will of course be keeping an eye to ensure excellent standards continue to be met.
