Lyme 1 Hotel
What a gem in the heart of Lyme Regis! The rooms are amazing with great facilities and the location is perfect for exploring. The Owners are extremely helpful, accommodating and kind. Transport links were excellent, including the personal chauffeur and guide (Terry)! Will definitely be our first choice when we come back again.

Loveliest and most welcoming staff. I've felt so cared about and that there was a personal investment in my having a comfortable stay. I enjoyed the breakfast basket, beautiful property and view from my window. Bed was a bit lumpy but I rarely find one in England that isn't.

Great location in Lyme Regis
We had a really good stay at Lyme 1, the location was spot on and close to all amenities and the beach. We stayed in the Cobb Suite which was amazing the continental breakfast is a nice touch as well. The only negative is that the Cobb Suite is on the ground floor and next to the communal kitchen and you get a lot of noise of people chatting in the corridor and in the kitchen. This was not too much of an issue for us as we were awake early.

I found I did not like thinking I was on my own in the property. It was a great location, the room was fine. But, for me, the lack of a reception and walking through a kitchen to my room made a difference. I also did not know I was supposed to email my breakfast preferences. I wish the fact that the property was mostly unstaffed had been very obvious on Expedia.

Thank you for taking the time to review. The concept of a Boutique hotel is it is minimalist - all necessary information is sent to guests in pre-arrival emails - all you need to know. In all rooms is a breakfast menu wherein it tells guests to text of WhatsApp their breakfast order. You have a great day.

Beautiful room but not the comfiest
The room was beautifully decorated however the headboard of the bed was incredibly uncomfortable to lean against - 2 metal poles running behind you, definitely style over comfort. The roll top bath looked lovely, however it meant that when having a shower you had to use a shower curtain each side of you so had to stand side on to prevent them sticking to you! I would also suggest that the rooms should have a quick visit each day to top up crockery, coffee etc and wipe over the table and hoover the floors as you are eating breakfast in there. This should be automatic rather than having to ask for it to be done as we ended up rinsing out coffee cups in the sink to reuse for breakfast the next day. Having said that, the cleaner was lovely and friendly and very welcoming.

Most reviews appreciate the charm and character of the 300-year-old property in the centre of historic Lyme Regis. Being 300 years old it does not benefit with modern day technology like insulation, Double Glazing, Air Conditioning. I would respectfully suggest next time you Google the "hotel" you are staying in, and suggest the Premier Inn in Seaton would be more suitable,

Ideal location to discover Lyme Regis
Ideally placed for the beach and all the local bars and restaurants. Room was very tastefully decorated and the check in process was very easy. Lovely continental breakfast provided daily.

Room lovely, well decorated includes a coffee-machine . Large bathroom with a walk in shower. Breakfast hamper a nice touch (extra toast and teas and coffee in kitchen downstairs) Staff very nice and friendly. found free parking about 200 metres away ( February. Not sure how easy that would be in the summer? But car park close by)

This is a gem of a hotel! Close to everything you want and need for a true vacation. We had no car with us. Walked to the shore, to the museum, to restaurants. The staff was warm and welcoming. The breakfast hampers were a treat each morning. Lovely restored Georgian building. So pretty!

A great find in Lyme
Stayed for 2 nights in room 8 . The room was very clean and the towels , bedding etc were of excellent quality . There were some lovely touches in the room , good quality biscuits , chocolate, teas , milk and bottled water . The breakfast hamper also contained quality produce and was beautifully presented and delivered to your door at 8.30 pm . The staff were very helpful and when we had to call the out of office hours number the call was answered immediately and our problem sorted .we would definitely stay here again .

Quaint guest house in center of town
This is a charming guest house that is very well located in town. Easy walk to all the sights. There is no recpetion, but all communications are easily done through emails and texts, chances are though you will run into the lovely owner! Breakfast is delivered to your door in a picnic basket and is enjoyed in the room. Decor is fresh and comfortable.

Lovely hotel with excellent on theme decor. Located at a very convenient location as at the top of the town and short wall to the sea in less than 5 minutes. Their breakfast basket in the morning is great ! Definitely recommended. 👍👍👍

Caught off guard with this property...
My girlfriend and I were looking for an area to visit for a weekend away in mid-november despite her lazy work-rate in looking for one, I managed to come across Lyme Regis along the south coast and close to her university. We accidentally went on the weekend that there was the 'Bonfire on the Beach' which was actually very good. the town itself was very nice to explore throughout the day and many food restaurants and nice bars which are very nice but can be somewhat pricey for a young couple. I'm not going to lie, the town (especially during the weekend we went) had no one else under the age of 40, however this didn't phase us and we enjoyed the weekend regardless of being a demographic anomaly. The Hotel itself (and the town) was very noticeably making a good attempt to be sustainable and eco-friendly. The woman we saw working there was very friendly and the breakfasts were tasty but definitely caused some tension over who got to eat the delicious melon. Overall I could not recommend the hotel highly enough and would recommend anyone to go and check it out!

Great setup for a family stay. Good breakfast and useful kitchen facilities to self cater - could have used a microwave or communal cooker. Well located at the top of town but no parking (don’t use NCP).

Extremely well-located small hotel close to the centre of Lyme Regis that's perfect for a mini-break or as a base for walking the Jurassic Coast (the Jurassic Coaster bus literally goes past the front door). Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts and huge, comfortable rooms, as well as a private terrace for guests to soak up the sun.

Lyme Regis summer weekend.
Conveniently situated for the town and seafront. The room and bathroom was well equipped and comfortable. The only small gripe was the shortage of drawer space. We slept well in a really comfortable bed and enjoyed a perfect breakfast on the delightful terrace. It was great to have unlimited drinks and a kitchen to use.
