We had a lovely 3 night stay here. The breakfast had nice "buffet" options. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved the remote controlled gated parking that allowed us to come and go as we pleased. It also gave us peace of mind that the car was safe since we kept some luggage in the car as we were traveling throughout Italy. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the old city of Lucca as this hotel is sitauted outside the city walls. I also highly recommend renting bikes since there is a bike path infront of the hotel that goes directly into town where you can bike the entire wall of the city. Lucca is a magical and majestic place. Enjoy!

Beautifully appointed hotel with small but helpful staff and unique decor oozing with Italian charm. Hotel is outside the city walls but it was easy to walk to Lucca's old town to wander its maze of streets and discover the many piazzas, restaurants, cafés and shops there.

Primeira noite eu dormi na RUA, porque não tem recepção neste Hotel depois das 7pm. Cheguei na cidade por volta das 9:30pm e liguei para confirmar que chegaria em 30minutos mas não me deram nenhuma opção a não ser esperar o dia seguinte! No dia seguinte tive que agendar a retirada das chaves as 4:30pm e ainda sim fiquei esperando 15 minutos (ou seja, não fica ninguem na recepção depois do meio dia). Perdi a primeira noite e dormi lá as outras duas noites. Se vc quer se hospedar numa casa com valor de hotel mas que não tem funcionarios durante a tarde e noite, que vc precisa agendar horario de chegada e dormir num quarto mofado, esse é o lugar! Durante a noite é um breu! Tem mtos hoteis na cidade, não escolham esse! Lindo por fora, tem estacionamento mas o resto nao vale a pena!

A must-stay property when in Lucca
This beautiful property was wonderfully maintained and excellent services. Our room was very spacious, and always meticulously cleaned daily. The staff were always so willing to help and offered excellent suggestions when asked questions. Location was great, only 10-15 min walk to Centro Storico. They also had bikes you could rent for a fee that would get you there even quicker. Very happy and will recommend this to family and friends.

The proprietors were so friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful , clean and comfortable . The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

I received the following note before we arrived which caused me some concern. I had not seen mention of the hefty surcharge to check in after 7:00 pm. Goodmorning [Guest-Name] We can kindly know the arrival time. Thank you • CHECK -IN until 19.00 • Check-in after 19:00: to be agreed in advance and with a supplement of € 25.00 Internal pay parking to be booked. Thank you The direction Lucca in Azzurro Maison de Charme In addition, we were told that we would not be receiving the free breakfast that was clearly mentioned in the first few sentences of the description of the property on Expedia. Right up there with the nightly rate, and free parking. I was told that I had not chosen that option when I chose the room. Since I was doing this on my phone APP, I saw a limited screen shot and it sure looked like I was getting a room with free WIFi, Parking and Breakfast. I was very upset to learn that I had to pay for breakfast each morning. The second night we were there, no attendent was there when we returned to room at 5:30, and then for the rest of the evening. Although the young man had previously told us we had the use of the sitting room, TV and garden room, these rooms were actually roped off so we would not enter them. The towels were not changed so the towels from that morning were still there and wet. Later I found a note tucked up in the corner on a hook over the bidet saying we were supposed to leave our towels in a certain place is we wanted them replaced.

Hello Mr. Calla thank you for giving us some of your precious time.We are sorry that you did not find it well with us, but I wanted to clarify a few things: being a b & b and not a hotel with a night porter by law we have the obligation to stay in the structure 6 hours a day, in reality the reception is open from 8 AM to 7.30 PM, if when you came back you could not find anyone sitting at the reception, surely we were busy.She has chosen a non-refundable rate without breakfast, so it is not our mistake to have told her.The terrace is always open, being a door without a key, it was enough to turn the handle, also as regards the towels are changed when customers leave them on the floor as in all hotels. Anyway, thank you for choosing us for your stayand we wish you a good life.SincerelyThe director

This is a wonderful gem of a hotel located a ten-minute walk from the city wall. The staff is very friendly, a great section of breakfast options is given (just don't expect bacon or sausage, but they do have cold cuts), the back terrace is peaceful, and the price - for what you get - is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

As others have said, this is more of a B&B than a hotel but that’s a positive feature in my opinion. The staff were all lovely and went out of their way to ensure that we had a good time. The breakfast was simple but there was something for everybody and it was very tasty. We had to walk into Lucca for dinner but it was only a 15/20 stroll and we didn’t have any difficulty finding somewhere nice with availability. The property felt very secure, with swipe cards to get in and out, as well as room keys. That was probably OTT as the surrounding area felt very safe but it was reassuring nevertheless.

Rooms were nice. A couple of issues took a long time to get hot water for the shower. No iron available. TV wasnt wirking but was fixed quickly. Easy walk to the walled part of Lucca. Beautiful town.

Exceptionally nice property, well maintained. You are booking at a b&b not a hotel, so staff is not in your business 24/7. Staff is friendly and helpful with ideas of things to do in the area. Room was nicely decorated and comfortable.

What a lovely place to stay! Lucca is an amazing city! The villa was close to the old part of town - that now we consider one of our "favorite places!" Mary at the. desk was very accommodating and kind! We loved our visit and will be back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly. The property was conveniently located near the Lucca Centro but also very quiet. We stayed during the low season and it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. The room was very clean and they put out a full breakfast for just us. We hope to return to Lucca and Azzurro Maison in the future.

Great hotel we will be returning!
Check in was easy and quick. The staff was very accommodating, nice and helpful. The room was spacious and spotless. The shower was nice with good water pressure and hot water. Breakfast great and loved the parking inside the gate on the property felt very safe.

During our stay my wife had medical situation, she had back pain and could not move at all. Hotel staff strongly suggested us go to see the doctor immediately, which is Sunday morning the most un-convenient time, therefore hotel staff called the ambulance went to the emergency department of local hospital. They also gave us a room for 2 extra days so my wife had complete rest to helping her recovery.

Suite was a large room but bed was uncomfortable with hard mattress. The owner was very nice but the lady working the following morning was not very attentive. We waited 15 minutes for coffee and the coffee station was not self serve. The lady was not very nice to guests and seemed bothered to have to fix coffee.

The grounds were nice, the room was clean. Did not like key card entry to the building and controlling power, hence was unable to charge any devices while off the property. Breakfast was sparse, coffee was excellent. No customer service as staff was not present except at check in for a few minutes and to prepare morning coffee. The toiletries looked like they were decades old -- not what I would expect in a property of this caliber.

Our B&B have a reception open from 8 am to 7 pm and there is always someone in those times. After 7 pm if you need everything you can call our number as we explain always. Our staff is at your disposal for informations, transfer reservations, disappointments nad everything you need to know. For the power in the room you can use every card, just ask next time :) We have different products for breakfast: 3 types of bread, ham, cheese, salami, jogurt with 4 different types of cereals, eggs on request, juices, 3 different types of brioches, honey, jam, chocolate. Lovely accommodations, extremely helpful staff, short walk to Lucca city center, outdoor sitting areas were lovely as well! Highly recommend! LAM bus stop just across the street. Easy taxi to train station. Very well kept & clean.

Good choice for one night
Close to Lucca with free parking and good WiFi and good breakfast. If we had not gone early in afternoon to check in we would not have found out about checkin procedure and getting into the building after 7. We are glad we didn’t get locked out

The staff, particularly Ilenya, are attentive, respectful, and very responsive. I liked the linens - they are a nice quality, and the pillow cases were pressed. The terrace was very pleasant, and was a nice place to relax after a day walking. The front rooms do get street noise, but with windows closed, it's quiet. Overall, a great place to stay, and within a 15-minute walk to the wall.

This hotel was just lovely. Staff was extremely helpful. I lost my cell phone and when I spoke to the police, I could not understand what was being said. The young woman took the call for me and was able to find someone to explain how to retrieve it. The hotel was beautiful and had free parking. I loved this place!

Kudos to hard working, friendly staff member Lara. She very kindly sought out non allergenic toiletries for me. She seems to manage both reservations and the breakfast service. The hotel is nicely furnished and well maintained. There’s a very pleasant deck on the 2nd floor - lovely in the morning sun.

It was a well appointed room. They had on-site secure parking. The breakfast was good with coffee made per your order which was nice. We realized that we could order eggs cooked to our liking but there was no signage or mention of that possibility. Unfortunately we only noticed that someone was being served as we were finishing. We arrived after check-in time and there was no one to greet us so we waited for approx. 15 minutes in a very small entry with a couple of uncomfortable chairs which was unusual and barely a hello when the staff member did show up. Not our usual B&B experience while traveling 2 months throughout Italy. Sorry, but overall it was a “meh” for us. Loved Lucca!!

Wonderful People, Facilities, and Location
We were greeted so warmly we felt instantly welcomed. Very good English spoken at the front desk, they were very helpful and informative. Best shower I’ve ever had in Europe. Very comfortable beds and spacious relaxing room and grounds. I’m sorry we only stayed one night! Easy walk into the city, with excellent restaurants near the hotel so we were able to have a very good meal at a very reasonable price nearby.
