"Efficient Motel in Nelspruit/Mbombela"
This is probably the most basic accommodation in the area. I have stayed at approximately 15 different places in Nelspruit, at all levels, so I've seen it all. This is one-star rated by SA Tourism board. But, that's not a bad thing! It probably just means that this place has no kettle or anything in the room; there is just a relatively small shower that opens out into the halfway zone between the actual bathroom and sleeping area. The room is very, very efficient in size and amenities. But, the room had everything else you needed: free limited wi-if, a nice tv with pretty good satellite/DSTV, a little work desk, and you could order meals from the restaurant across the (busy) street, Cicada. Which, is quite a service for the area, other places don't do that. It has a nice little patio outside and the breakfast looked pretty okay (I did not have it). The pillows were pretty nice. Rooms were mostly quiet, but I could kind of hear someone's phone ring. And the check-in staff was nice when I arrived a bit early. One odd thing, though, on a square meter/footage basis, other places in the area have much bigger rooms and more things, like a kettle or bathtub, or even a small kitchenette, for slightly more, so, from that perspective, this place is not actually a bargain, it costs twice as much. So, if you need room to spread out, this is certainly not the place. But, all in all, great location, just off the main road, by the hospital, etcetera. I'll actually be back there soon!
