Hidden Gem
absolutely loved our stay. It was so quiet and the views were amazing. Perfect location to just relax and unwind. The attention to detail in the property was fantastic and there was everything you would need in the kitchen, The pool table and spa Wasn’t added bonus was a great way to spend the afternoon relaxing in the pool and watch the sunset while playing pool. Will definitely be back for another stay.

Wonderful house to stay. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Amazing fire. Fabulous Spa. Only downside is the scary staircase to the mezzanine, it needs a hand rail.

Beautiful property with amazing architecture! My partner and I loved our stay. Sarah is well organised and Check-in process was easy. The house is very tidy and clean. Many close encounters with local wildlife and the house is located at a well thought of location on the property with stunning views over looking ranges and valley. Thankyou once again Sarah. We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful scenery, tranquil, peaceful with views of the hills beyond. Great views of the sunrise and setting through the trees. The house is stunning with access to three different decking/balconies with views to write home about. Constructive criticism: at night the house could do with soft warm lights throughout, (simple fix, change light bulbs to warm light not white lights) and some more outdoor lighting around the spa area, again soft warm lighting, instead of a spot light shining on the area. Will be back 100% hopefully with warm lights next time. 🙏🏼

This property location and views are incredible however the property badly needs TLC. It sadly was not very clean and items such as the sofa and footstools were unstable/broken. The mice are an issue as there are no food safe storage boxes - we used the oven to store food! There are no keys so you can’t lock up when you go out. The unsealed road was 1.6km and slippy in a 2WD. I spoke to Sarah who is making some changes - this place could be (and in the past has been) amazing but some work is needed. It would be easy to add bug screens and these would not spoil the view - look at those on Dune on Kangaroo island which was also about the views. The bathroom fan was broken and broken electric socket in kitchen which has had an adpater stuck in the working side so kettle and coffee machine could be left plugged in …such a shame as the location and views are great but serious TLC needed. We are used to country living so know what can be done easily to keep wild life under control - stuffing a bit of tinfoil into some mouse entry holes in the kitchen is not the answer! Sarah was great to deal with and assured us she took our comments seriously. On the unsealed road due to its length most hire cars can not be used as the majority of companies don’t allow unsealed roads.

Gorgeous location
This property is exactly as advertised, gorgeous sweeping bush views, intimate setting in the middle of nowhere in particular. In summer it’s really hot during the day - we stayed when it was 38 degrees and it cooled overnight but was a bit much in late arvo - luckily the jacuzzi had cool temp. Would be spectacular in cooler weather - will be back!

Our own private valley
What a pleasant time we had relaxing in the tub, enjoying the view, watching kangaroos and birds, walking around the property or playing billiards. At night the whole valley feels like your own. No WiFi but phone reception is excellent. Mains power supply. The pyramid style construction of the house and the woodwork in the kitchen are something to see. It's just the sort of place we love to stay in.

Spectacular views from this gorgeous tree house, everything you need is provided which is really handy, easy hassle free booking and prompt friendly communication with owner. My only critique would be the overall cleanliness, some of the crockery had to be washed prior to use as some pieces had food stuck to them, and some areas of kitchen could use a wipe over especially given we're charged a cleaning fee on top of nightly rate. Other then that would love to go back and highly recommend..

Hi Inge, Really appreciate the feedback. I do know that most guest do their own dishes. We ask them to leave them in the drying tray so the cleaner can ensure everything is clean before they are put away. Obviously this process did not work this time and we have asked cleaner to review. So glad you had an lovely time though.

Spectacular view from the patios. Jacuzzi and pool table kept us entertained. The living area with fire place is my favorite spot overseeing the valley. Waking up early to catch the sunrise with a cup of hot tea was priceless. Bathroom and toilet are basic and looked a little old, refreshing them would be nice. The host is friendly and always replied to my messages promptly. I was disappointed with my sleepless night as I was shocked finding mice in the master bedroom. Found a few of them running up the curtains and across the floors which terrified me. Horrible experience ended up we have to move out from the master bedroom.

We had an amazing stay, the tree house was everything I imagined and more! It doesn’t have a TV so I would suggest taking your laptop with you if you want to Netflix and chill at night. Heaps of wildlife on the property and the bed was super comfy! Don’t get me started on the spa, I sat in there for HOURS just taking in the view. I will be back for sure!

Wow! One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed! Breathtaking views from every room. It was so peaceful being amongst nature. My partner and I spent 1 night here but wish we booked it for longer. I did not want to leave! The house had everything we needed and some beautiful touches with mini toiletries, tea, coffee etc. Will definitely be back soon!!

Nice but awful parking
Could have been a little cleaner (wedding dress got dirty before we left for the ceremony). Driving there is about 5 mins from the gate entrance, with lots of hills, and hardly any parking nor turning around space. It is awful to drive with a manual and I suggest the owners improve the parking and turning around spaces big time.

Truly Tranquil Tree house.
This amazing property is one like no other nested up in the hills. The views will take your breath away. It’s just a perfect escape away from the hustle and bustle of the usual city life. Sarah has done a fantastic job with this place it has all the necessities you would need including a fully equipped kitchen and barbecue I would like to thank Sarah for giving us opportunity to stay.

The property is lovely. Everything was thought properly. It’s ideal for couples and also for a big family or big griup of friends as there’s 2 bedrooms with one on the upper level with three beds. This is an ideal place to go to during winter time but not during summer. Never during summer as it felt like an oven. We went there during Boxing Day but didn’t stay the night. We only went there so as not to waste our money. We used the spa, bbq and the billiards. After staying until 9pm, off we went. Good thing we only live an hour away. It would have been an awesome experience if they have an aircon. At least one in the master’s bedroom. But other than that, the place is lovely. So if you’re planning to go around December to February, I suggest book another Air BnB so you don’t roast. There are fans, lots of fans, but they are only blowing hot air. The spa can cool you down but not when you want to sleep already.

Thanks Deria, We go to great lengths to advise all summer guests that the house does not have airconditioning. You will recall we texted about this before your visit. We do stress that if you are worried about the Australian Heat then summer time is not the time to book Chittering. That said, the house does have adequate cross winds and ventilation and summer evenings are normally beautiful on the deck and the fans are adequate for most guests who used to the Aussie bush tempretures. Unfortunately we cannot control extreme tempretures. The nature of the tree house does now allow us to install an adequate unit so we relay on big fans and pre warning our guests. Also note we were fully booked during Dec and early Jan with only one comment about the heat. Hopefully you will come back when conditions are more suitable for you. Kindest regards, Sarah

Idyllic
This is one of the most picturesque places you will stay in Western Australia. The property overlooks a deep valley and is surrounded by forests and green pastures. Kangaroos, emus and, if you're lucky, the occasional echidna are at your doorstep. The living areas, main bedroom and spa look out over gentle and relaxing vistas. The winter highlights are the luxurious outdooor spa and the stae of the art log wood burner. This is a place to be savoured for its peacefulness and beauty.

Our weekend at Chittering Heights
A lovely place to stay but a combination of a building that needs a little TLC and more focus on presentation (dusty areas such as bed side tables and numerous light bulbs that had blown), plus a few untidy areas within the grounds around the property ultimately took the shine off what would have otherwise been a five out of five experience. Even some kind of welcome gift like a bottle of wine from a local winery or just some chocolates are all little details that other properties have offered and which can help to make the experience special. Still a nice place and the views are amazing. The drive up to the property should not be attempted in a sports car!
