Property is old and needs some updating. Our room was not all that clean. Shower was dirty and carpet dirty and needs replacing. However, the staff were pleasant and it’s a good base for exploring the area.

First impressions were bad— we checked in at 5 o’clock and the room wasn’t ready. They said they would just need a little bit of time to finish with the ozone treatment. The staff weren’t super helpful or friendly. I was worried about where I would park my car as I was up against an industrial bin and feared people putting rubbish in the bin and scratching my car. All changed however when we opened the door to our apartment wow, what an amazing view what a great set up we felt like we were on a tropical island paradise. We had breakfast on both mornings. That wasn’t super great soggy toast. No maple syrup for the pancakes coffee cost extra cold, rubbery eggs, grey looking sausages, not impressed. I would probably recommend buying breakfast at one of the local cafés. The location is great walking distance to all the cafés, beaches and restaurants.

Our stay was good ( stay #4 over many years) but I wished the bathrooms would be updated. They feel out of date and there was a dripping from the ceiling above the shower where the fan - that was really dusty- is. Also the bath is very high and hard to get in and out of. If it ever gets renovated maybe just put a walking shower in? Staff was really nice and the Happy Hour is a great idea. Also the kids loved the complimentary zooper doopers!

Superb location . Am not critical, but The proximity to the ocean plus the local cockies means that external and internal maintenance is an ongoing issue .
