I recently booked a three-day stay for my family at Axiom Park Hotel through Expedia. However, upon arrival, we were greeted with the shocking news that our reservation had been canceled. Despite assuring the receptionist that I hadn't initiated any cancellation, they seemed convinced otherwise and provided little explanation for the mix-up.
To add to the confusion, my booking still appeared as "BOOKED" on the Expedia website, and I continued to receive reminders from Expedia about our upcoming visit. The receptionist showed me a printout of email communication with Expedia regarding a cancellation, but it lacked crucial details such as names, dates of reservation, and the booking number didn't match mine. There was a handwritten note instructing to "call the guest at 2 PM," but I never received any such call.
This experience was not only stressful but also incredibly disappointing. It's disheartening to encounter such a lack of clarity and accountability from the hotel staff, especially when we were left without accommodation for our planned stay.
I urge Axiom Park Hotel to improve their communication and customer service to prevent such misunderstandings in the future. This experience has left a lasting impression, and I hope it can be rectified promptly.
