The offering of food was limited and not enough variety for various diets. Room was small we had asked for 2 beds and the room had four so there was little room for us.

Great hosts! Perfect location!
The hosts were very kind. They even made us a to go breakfast since we would be missing the normal breakfast on the morning before our flight. The daily breakfast was delicious and they custom made our coffee each day. The location is perfect! It is only a 5 min walk to the bus/train station and 8 min walk to the Old Town city center. The rooms are very clean and cute.

I conveniently located friendly guest house
This accommodation is close to both the train and the bus stations. It is a small, historic guesthouse, which also has a restaurant. The included breakfast was very good, and I also ate several meals in the restaurant besides having breakfast. It’s very close to the downtown area as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good solid stay. Nothing fancy and slightly dated but good to stay in a clean normal inn. Felt way more local and central. Location was good.

Small, friendly guesthouse
We only booked one night due to flying home the next day but first impressions were good. Comfortable, clean room and friendly, accommodating staff. Only a 5 min walk from the bus/train station and a short walk into the Old Town. The only slight negative was the lack of blackout curtains (which didn’t bother us as we needed to be up early) but light sleepers may want to take an eye mask.

Loved the outdoor breakfasts and the dinner options. The rooms were good, beds were comfortable and the location was great. The staff are friendly and helpful and the owner is on-site all day, every day. The only downside was going up the stairs to our 2nd floor room ... difficult because I have arthritis in my knees, but most likely not at all a difficulty for most guests. A pleasant stay and I would be happy to stay here again. Very close to the bus and railway stations (less than 5 minutes walk) and about 10 minutes walk to the old town. WiFi a bit patchy but good shower, comfy bed, nice breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Rooms on first floor with no lift. Room was quite big and very clean. Great choice if you want quick access to buses and trains or more space and peace than in the old town.

Great place, near to the city center, Betty was simply excellent, extremely helpful, and will guide how to get to places. All the staffs had a great smile and they all know how to assist an outsider. Fantastic breakfast. Basic hotel amenities, but that was ok. There restaurant is a must try. City center is less than 5 minutes walk, and so is the train and bus station. Great quiet location as well. Want a feel for late 19th or early 20th century place to experience, this is the place to be.

Very charismatic property. Beautiful old staircase to rooms and lovely courtyard. Very easy going stay with no stress. Staff very helpful in organizing shuttle from airport to property and back again. They contacted me beforehand, by email, to arrange this and it saved a lot of money and hassle - worked well. Due to the historic nature of the property, it does not have ensuite so bathroom shared. This was not really a problem. Rooms were very warm and everything clean. Maid in every day to clean room. Location was amazing - 5 minute walk to centre of town. Staff very helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant as part of the Guesthouse. Would highly recommend the authentic food as part of the experience - staff very helpful at guiding you through the menu. We left a wallet with cash and cards in the restaurant and the restaurant staff tracked us down, by the name on the credit cards, and brought it up to the room. If there was ensuite bathroom this Guesthouse would be much more expensive - so if you can see past that you are getting a bargain and a much better experience than a boring tower block type hotel that could be anywhere in the world. This felt like something different to most places that have stayed in and will remember it fondly. Would definitely go back to Ljubljana and would stay here again for sure.

Fantastic little guest house! The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, the staff friendly, breakfast extensive and we had traditional Slovenian dinner in the restaurant one night - so good! If we're ever in Ljubljana again, this is where we'll stop.

Stari Tisler shone bright on my solo journey
Good location near station but only short walk to the old city area, nice breakfast, rooms are fine, everything works and was super clean. Restaurant served great traditional Slovenian food and the staff were all helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Not up to the standard of a 3-star hotel
The guesthouse is in a good location close to the center of the city, and the complimentary breakfast is also very good. But the room condition is just too poor and lack of basic supply for a 3 star hotel, with very simply furnitures and a small room. Not sure how this facility is rated as a 3-star hotel. A 1-star would probably be fair.

Very over priced for what you get
Very disappointing. We booked a double room with queen size bed a year out from our trip and got a room with 2 single beds that could not be put together. Breakfast was a contrast hassle not just for us but all quest as the staff member on constantly blamed the guests for anything that went wrong which was often and yelled at all of us. The only positive was the meal in the restaurant.

The room and property were very tidy, well presented. The bed was comfortable but very soft and thin pillows and duvet. Breakfast was delightful with an ever-filled cold spread with plenty of sweet pastries. Great way to start the day. Extausionate late check-in fees which were hidden when booking a non-refundable room, making it double the price. Tried to discuss with management about making this more well-known prior to booking but they became overly defensive and wouldn't accept verbal feedback. A very ordinary way to end the stay.

Nicely done
The staff gave a good overview of the city and were very accommodating about allowing slightly early breakfast arrivals (I needed to leave early). Dinner was good, too. Too bad it was a short stay.

Great air con! Close to the train station. Easy to walk to the area with all the shops and bars. Nice buffet breakfast. Room was comfortable. Wasn't too expensive either.

An interesting, historical hotel which was good value for money. Access to upper stories via a spiral staircase a little difficult for large suitcases. Scrupulously clean, Friendly staff. Close to train and bus station.

Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance from beautiful sites and bars. Don’t really like the shared bathroom but it was clean and didn’t really see anyone using the toilets or bathroom during our stay.
