This is hotel which focusses on decor and customer service. Facilities ARE limited; enough for breakfast and that's about it. The rooms are an true experience.

Lovely hotel! And the restaurant is great, too. It is a long distance from the train station, not easily reachable by public transportation. I should have paid more attention to that when I booked in haste.

Our stay in Slovenia was the best time of our trip. The G Design Hotel, was definitely a highlight .Bed as very comfortable, very nice breakfast too. Host Roc, rocked!

Excellent Hospitality
My husband an I had to end our trip to Slovenia early on account of me breaking a toe while hiking. We ended up staying at G Design Hotel last minute. The staff were wonderful, flexible, and took every measure to help us with my toe (including going to the closed restaurant to get ice). We really appreciated the hotels accomodatig mentality and would definitely stay here again!

Stay here! You won't regret it.
I can't say enough amazing things about this hotel. If you are considering staying in Ljubljana I highly recommend this hotel. It's 5 mins from downtown, free parking, and amazing service. Breakfast was awesome and the rooms are super modern and clean.

Highly recommended
The staff is the best part of this hotel - Matej and Lora were so helpful and caring in suggestions, directions, and extras. I left personal items after departing Slovenia and the staff contacted me requesting an address to which they could forward the items. Great hotel, good location, wonderful people. The only drawback was the restaurant was closed for renovation during my stay, but the staff was quick to assist with takeout accommodations instead.

PROS - The hotel honored my advance request for an upstairs room with a balcony - Easy access to downtown Ljubljana, airport, and road to Lake Bled (with a car) - Reasonably priced - Friendly staff (man at the front desk was very helpful and nice) - Can eat breakfast outside - Dinner restaurant also offers outside seating - Nice decor - Easy, free parking - Balcony doors open for fresh air - Brochures and maps available - Free, decent wi-fi CONS - Outside patio directly beneath sleeping rooms: gets loud if people sit there at night - Not a lot within walking distance (except the hotel restaurant) - No complimentary water

Very nice hotel. Modern decor, nice size room, well furnished, electric shades, nice touches in the very spacious bathroom, over-sized shower, some high tech touches that made for a great stay. Comfortable and very clean. Right off the highway, not too far from Ljubljana.

We stayed overnight on our way to Istra; The hotel is really nice and service is good. Location is close to highway but very peaceful. Room was very comfortable and bed too. We would recommend this one for shorter stay.

Nice, but quite boring:)
I spent in G-Hotel few days. Stuff and owner are excellent. Hotel is located at the sign which says that you quit Ljubljana, so it is good to have a car. You can find also a bus stop in front of the hotel. Access to the city center takes 10 minutes by car. Highway is located just few hundred meters away. Closest grocery - national TUS shop is located ca. 1km away. Breakfast should be better. There is nothing warm to eat. Each time you have to ask stuff about it - they will not offer it for you! I asked after few days about scrambled eggs and I get it! There is nothing like sausages, pancakes, tosts - just rolls, cheese, jams, cold cuts, honey, same vegetables and fruits, joghurt, corn flakes, milk etc. Nothing special. For that price I would expect more. I travel a lot all over Europe and not only and I can give just 5 points (in 10 points scale) for that. Another stupid thing while breakfast: coffee machine - just stuff is able to use it. Each time you have to ask about drinks, refills etc. There is also small problem with restaurant. It is not located in the hotel building, but outside - maybe 100m away. It is not opened every day (eg. on Friday it was closed) so you have to know opening days and decide: can I eat at the hotel this day or I have to eat something in the city. There is no other way - there is nothing else around the hotel. Sorry - there is one solution - you can call pizza. Another problem - activities. There is nothing to do. No swimming pool, sauna, fitness

Delightful hotel in Ljubljana
Two night stay whilst on road trip - on my way back to UK from Dubrovnik. Great hotel from moment I arrived at reception, luxury room lived up to its name being spacious, modern and well equipped. Hotel is about three miles away from centre of town but getting in is a simple drive, modest taxi fare etc. Breakfast was good and guests have access to tea and coffee later in the day. Yes happy to use again.

Best value hotel in Ljubljana!
My wife and I recently visited Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. It was a terrific vacation and we booked lodging in six different locations. The G-Design Hotel was the very best of all. The staff were absolutely outstanding at all hours of the day or night! Our genuine thanks to Matt (Mattheus?) at the front desk, and Malita, who attended to our breakfast needs! The hotel itself was very clean, and the beds were absolutely incredible! If your a light sleeper, you won't hear a pin drop. There is a terrific restaurant adjacent to the hotel itself, and it was far better than anything we found in the city, which is about 10 minutes away by car. If good sleep, a clean, spotless room, and an super helpful staff are important to you, you'll fine all of these at the G-Design Hotel.

Très bon hôtel, personnel accueillant, ménage fait chaque jour. Bon petit déjeuner mais un plus de fruits frais seraient la bienvenue. Si vous ne pouvez pas déjeuner car vous devez partir tôt, le personnel vous prépare le nécessaire à emporter. MERCI d'accepter les chiens surtout quand on a plusieurs !!!
