It's a quite nice place feels like home the people where really nice n answered all my questions the bed was really hard n seemed old and the price was a little expensive but other than that it was a great place to stay n I'll be going back

Very dated old resort that is over priced and lacks services. Arrived at 5:30 on Saturday and the person who cooks had gone home. No other food services available except a truck stop 2 miles away or Mesquite 8 miles away.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay, the lodge is a HISTORIC RESORT! If the dining is not busy, we do send the chef home. This is how most businesses are having to run right now, during these hard times. There is food right across the street, you can walk there.

Was told it was pet friendly, but it’s not. So we were turned away. I must say the place was not nearly as nice as the photos depict. The register area is filled with boxes and smells musty.

The website does say we do not except pets. You said you called , but it wasn’t our number The boxes you saw were already full of new items, to update the rooms

Hidden gem
This is a hidden gem. Small hotel with a 9 hole golf course set in a secluded area. Super quiet and the lobby staff treats you like family. The rooms were very clean. Better than staying at the hotels in mesquite. Definitely we’ll be back!

Only stayed here because mesquite was all booked up (according to online listings). Way overpriced rooms. It looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80s. Only 1 coffee, 1 fruit snack, 1 granola bar. Toiletries were smaller than ketchup packets so we had to buy more in town. We got a different room than we'd booked, but there were hardly any guests. No ice maker, had to get it from the bar when you can find someone. Tiny tv placed so that you can't see well from the bed. No deadbolts on the doors.

“Historic” hotelAmenities are complimentary , the toiletries are eco friendly. If you needed more of anything, the staff would have been more than happy to give you all you wanted. Did you tell the staff the room you were in was not correct? There are security locks on every room !

Positive: Easy access to/from Interstate 15. Nice, friendly staff. Clean grounds. Clean, orderly room. Negative: Coffee maker in room offered only 1 single-serving pack of coffee. Coffee cups also missing. Ceiling in room had poor sound-proofing: late-night foot-steps, music, and running water in pipes at late hours

Nice room.. tv channels puzzling, half a movie plays then goes off.. couldn't get room service, finally did, it was two towels and toilet paper.. no cleaning, no more coffee..

If you want pioneercountryside it is okay. Diningroom under remodeling pool no water. Staff fiendly room old but clean. Golfcourse looks not bad but 9 holes for $ 28 expensive. Nobody on the course after 3 pm. we would have played wzsundowner special.

Every business needs to update their properties, unfortunately it was when you were here. You were served on the patio, and seemed to enjoy your time there. We do not have a pool since Covid, and not advertised we do. The price of the course is cheap for this area, and we do not have a special for late times.

Disapointing experience.
Total false avertising. The pictures and inviroment shown are not at all close to the actual experience that we encountered. When we called for the actual stay, we were told that they served food and beverages in the bar area. However,when we arrived that entire area was closed for renovation and was told the nearest place to get food/drinks was 9 miles away. We should have been toid that at the time we made the reservation. The entire place was totaly filthy with old worn out furniture, leaky faucets and a 30 year oid T.V that did not work. The check in area was also an experience never seen before, one person there not welcome friendly that just handed you a key to your room. The grounds around the building had clearly not been manicured for some time. For Hotels.com to even show and advertise this picture and then book a reservation here is pathetic. This clearly does not encourage us to use your service again. I would suggest that you check this place out and draw your own conclusion.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. When you call you do not get our hotel, you get the phone call center. They will not give you information on the hotel, they do not have time to call every hotel daily for updates. The renovation in the dining area is to make the property updated, to make visits more enjoyable . The property is HISTORIC., the pictures on the website are exactly the same.

We really liked the golf course, the staff was very friendly and helpful. the rooms could use some updating. The property is beautiful, but the windows are too small and too high to see out of.

Not at all what the description or reviews say it is. Restaurant closed and pool was empty. It was 104 outside.

The restaurant is closed for remodeling, and we do not advertise we have a pool . It has been closed since covid. The rooms and the hotel pictures are exactly what they are online

Old, dated and tired looking!
Looks great from the outside, not so much inside. Had a very musty smell. Room was just ok but clean. We tried to check out at 7.15am but all doors were locked and there was nowhere to leave the keys ( real keys, not a card). Handyman told us to come back at 8am and ‘she’ should be there. Got back just after eight and the woman sure was there with her dripping wet, didn’t even ask us how our stay was. Just as well, she wouldn’t have liked my answer. This was a one and never again stay at this joint.

Paid $400!!! for 2 nights!!! I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night charging someone that much for a room like that. Birds or some animals we’re digging and scratching in the roof my entire stay. The room looks like an old folks home in the middle of nowhere. That’s what happens when you take a risk and book last minute. Very disappointed. Only plus side bed was comfy.

We stayed here only because there was no availability anywhere else. We paid $375 US for one night in a place that I would absolutely not recommend to anyone. It is surrounded by a trailer park, provided no amenities, no one was working check in counter at 7:30 pm so had to check in at the store attached. Only one key provided and doors locked behind you so if one of us left the room the other was suck there and the lock on the door was only a flimsy lock like you’d have on a bathroom door inside your house. The worst was the filthy coffee maker. It was so dirty inside the water reservoir that we couldn’t clean it to make coffee in the morning.

The check in had been moved, since Covid started to limit staff members to interact with guests. If you needed a extra key, it was your obligation to ask. The coffee makers were just replaced a week ago, there was no way it could of been that dirty. The building is a “HISTORIC “ building! If you plan your trips in advance, you would not have to pay for the last room

Old Hollywood feel. You can enjoy practically the same comforts as the Hollywood elite of yesteryears. Of course, we have it much better than they did with our present technology but this is a great retreat! Reasonably priced too!
