Excellent and extremely helpful staff. We stayed five days and have thoroughly enjoyed the time. Nightly music which we enjoyed from an open window and short walks everywhere for dining and shopping. Elevator to our third floor room is too small but no other downside for us.

Second time staying at this hotel, excellent location for the price but be aware if you suffer from allergies as the hotel and rooms are dated and have a strong sense of mold and mildew.

The ladies at front desk were rude to me and started speaking in Portuguese bad about myself and I told them I understood everything they were saying. So I went to my room and was very small so I went downstairs and I told them I will need to leave and please refund me the money for the next two nights not the first one, they spoke to the manager over the phone and manager said ok that they will refund me the money, just to contact Expedia and I did, then they told Expedia that they will not refund me the money.

The location was amazing! Friendly staff. The room had a small balcony with a great street view. The room was small but perfect for what we needed for our 1 night stay. The shower had mold so it was 1 very quick shower & out the door. Would stay again for convenience & price.

The hotel is very centrally located and looks very smart from the street. Being so close to all the amenities it does unfortunately also mean that some undesirable people wait outside the hotel to offer drugs etc. Although I am satisfied with the quality of the room I had, it did not match the pictures on Expedia, which some others may not be satisfied with.

Excellent location.
Excellent location for getting around Lisbon city centre. Paid extra for a double room but didn’t get it, have stayed here several times this room was the smallest we’ve ever had ! But i suppose it’s only to sleep in. Room was very clean, nice shower. Nice breakfast.

Everything was good excepting customer service was terrible!! None of the staff was happy to answer or help they were busy on their phone all the time. Any question we asked staff would say remember it’s one star hotel!!!!

Its the people that make the stay
Given that we were in old town, there is little that can be done about the physical aspects but that is more than made for by the very friendly, helpful staff, the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. For a one star accommodation, these made it a good stay and experience.

Birthday travel.
The ubication was great! They need to improve the bathroom. The service was good but the best was the lady who clean our room. She was very organized.

Not good
Our room was on the 4/5the floor. #401 When first entering the room there was an overwhelming odor. Something like must/mold. When asked the staff about it he was unhelpful. We opened the window and turned air on and the smell lessened. Understand that these buildings are very old but the smell was bad. The location is good but I would not book this hotel again.

A disappointing repeat visit.
I was given a room next to the laundry with noisy fan of some sort going much of the time. The room was very tiny. I have stayed in the Hotel LX Rossio two times before and this room was not up to that standard.. I reported a leaking toilet (water continually running from the tank to the bowl) 2 times, but there was no change.

convenient clean good value
old town area . Surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. There is street entertainment in the evenings and you are directly above it. All stops around 22:30 though, it’s usually very good entertainment for free. Hotel clean, bathroom and beds very clean. Decore showing age but you’re not paying for 5 star. Overall very convenient location for site seeing , castle only 16 min walk uphill.

The hotel is extremely well located just steps away from Rua Augusta and the major tourist streets. However, this made falling asleep at night challenging, as the sounds from the streets were very loud. Our room was cozy and we enjoyed the air conditioning during the 33 Celsius days we spent there. However, there was mold in the shower and the shower water did not drain properly, nearly flooding within a couple of minutes of use. The reception staff kindly assisted us when we needed to book for an extra day though, which helped. I’d recommend this stay for its convenience above all else.

This property disappointed me. The washroom is so tight and cannot sit in the toilet. The bathroom is moldy and the towels are quite old. The elevator did not work during three day stay, which mad us take stairs to the fourth floor two to three times a day. The location is great and the breakfast was reasonable. The receptionist was helpful in getting us a taxi to the airport.

The hotel needs renovation, the elevator was broken and you had to go up and down to the fourth floor which made it too uncomfortable on the other hand it is very well located, the rooms are large and bright I think that with some improvements it could be one of the best options in Lisboa
