Budget Hostel.
This hostel is compact. If you're not a thin person you will struggle to move around the bed and into the bathroom. Water pressure and temperature was inconsistent. Anjos Metro is neaby. Garage parking is expensive. 30Euro/day. The area is a bit sketchy. Staff helpful.

Great location close to Metro and walking distance to sights. It was one of the cheaper rooms with a private bathroom and as expected toom was small and basic.

If you are in Lisbon for travel/tourism only, not much luggage then this is suitable for u. Rooms are clean, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. There is no space to keep your clothes other than few hangers. No space for large luggage. Few minutes walk from metro. There is a cash machine just in front. There is a cafe downstairs and also across main road with good breakfast options. I didn't have any issue at all. Staff are helpful, especially when I checked in after 12 midnight and there was staff at reception. Importantly, I left my luggage on check out day for whole day.

Whilst the accomodation wasn't bad value for money, the room was only just big enough for the double bed in it and the bathroom was extremely small, meaning it was difficult to use the toilet with the door closed. Staff were nice enough but we were not informed of the existence of a kitchen until the final evening when I asked for a bottle opener (and the bottle opener was broken when I went to get it). The location was close to public transport and so very easy to get around, there was a small shop close by for necessities. There could have been some bad timing in our visit too as there seemed to be some renovations going on during our stay, meaning that there was extremely loud banging and people talking from the early hours (around 7ish). Possibly would stay again if the price was right but overall, not ideal.

The location of the property was really good, just outside the centre of the city, so easy accessible with public transport or by walking. The staff was very helpful and friendly and willing to do its best for the guests. The fact that the pension was not offering any breakfast was perhaps a little less ok, but there are many possibilities closeby to go to.

This is more a guesthouse than a hotel. Its strength, especially for women travellers alone in Lisbon, is the fact that Estrela dos Anjos is managed mainly by an excellent and hard-working all-women team. However, the guesthouse should advise guests clearly to approach it NOT by walking up Rua dos Anjos (which is not the most pleasant street), but by taking the much shorter/wider/brighter R. Alvaro Coutinho, and then turning left where R. Alvaro Coutinho meets Rua dos Anjos. The guesthouse will then be the 2nd door on the left. This approach felt much safer.

Estrella dos Anjos is no Star
The hotel has been renovated and is modern and clean. Most remarkably the bathrooms. However, there are 4 floors and NO ELEVATOR. And a couple too old to help with luggage at the desk. Additionally, it is unbelievably noisy. Not just street traffic, but machinery, banging, screaming yelling. Terrible to sleep.

Amazing experience
We enjoyed our stay - close to the metro, 10-15 min from Rossio and city centre. Nice and helpful staff. The room we've got was at the last floor with slopping roof, but was fine as we came only to sleep. But what is important - it was clean. An only drawback - no handle for the shower - have to keep it with hands.

About the location, no complains. Close to subway, walking distance to center of the city(downtown). Friendly people, room was cleaned every day. At this price, we had the privileged to have a private bathroom, which is making a huge difference all the time. The room was small but it was finally ok. A little complain about hot water, they are boiling to obtain hot water and sometimes we waited too much for this hot water to take the shower.

Facilities of the 90s
We get that it is cheap accommodation but here's what to expect: waking up several times during the night because of the 'rocky' pillows. And they provide one with 3 of them how generous. On the other hand, first thing to do every morning for me is traveling to Iceland (bathroom) and taking a shower with water temperature altering in line with the stock exchange. Other than that it's fine. Bonus point is helpful staff and A/C in the room. Good location with metro station nearby giving easy access to the centre of Lisbon.

Probably the worst hotel I've ever staid in!
The smallest room I imagined I could ever accommodate my family of four. We barely had any space to turn around once our luggage was in. And we didn't have a lot of luggage. A small TV, perhaps 25 years old with broken remote control, same for the airco's one ...

it is not a hotel,it is a guest house.
Staffs were friendly. But the the room was very small . very limited facilities. no tissues supplied in the toilet. bathroom lines were leaking, very noisy from outside also it was very noisy as the rooms were very close each other. there was no soap holder or any place to keep shower gel etc--

Decent and affordable place in a good location
Quiet street not too far from the city centre. Nice restaurants on the main road. Metro station only 5 minutes away. Staff were very friendly and polite. The room was not so clean but the bed linen and pillows were very good. The room was not too big but it doesn't matter if you are sightseeing all day. The shower was not good. There was nowhere to hang the shower head. Fast wifi connection. I would definitely stay there again.

The only issue we had was being so close to the front desk, you could here the bell everytime someone walked in but only during the day so not too much of a big deal, the room was small but great, lots of windows, overall great stay

Great sevice!
We stayed for one night only, it is very close to the airport, Uber costed only 5 Euros. The service was great, clean and comfortable room. Location just 20 min to city center. Great cafes and paderias around.

Really small room and bathroom. You hardly have space to move and no place for two suitcases. Shower hard to adjust and would go from cold to very hot to cold again in seconds. Very convenient spot, but rooms are not the best.

Nice, friendly, safe hotel.
Very nice staff and totally comfortable room. Well within walking distance to Praca do Comercios and other attractions for anyone with reasonable mobility. Near to Meto and lots of restaurants. Room is small but very clean perfect for one or 2. Also liked the fact that there is access to a kitchen.

Cold room, no heat, rudest staff ever, construction site, worst hotel we've ever seen in our life. Would not recommend anyone to stay there. Left early and ended up paying at another hotel.

Too noisy to fall asleep. I can hear staff talking, laughing and walking in the corridor; I can hear other residents walking, talking and opening the door of their rooms; I can hear the door bell ringing every time people want to come into the hotel and it is very loud. I can smell smoke in the room because staff are smoking outside the room. Bathroom is so tiny that you feel like you are in a cell. Not a good experience staying in this hotel.

Good value hotel
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel, given how little it cost. Comfortable, clean and convenient. Staff were really helpful. We found it walkable to all the main areas, but also close to Anjos metro station. Not luxurious but perfectly good base for a city break when you are out and about most of the time anyway.

Nice little hotel with friendly staff
I had booked a double hotel room. Having a room with ensuite bathroom at this price was excellent! If you don't mind small rooms then this is the place. It is central, we could walk wherever we wanted. The staff are very friendly and they keep the hotel tidy and clean.

We arrived in the evening and the woman at check in gave us a room with three beds instead of two twins. 20 minutes after settling in the room, we heard a knock at the door and we were told that the concierge had given us the wrong room. The next room was cramped and black mold on the ceiling. The heater didn't work. When we requested another room the owner and concierge were not helpful even though the hotel was nearly empty. Finally the heater was fixed that night. It's an OK place to use only for sleeping and not much else.

Great stay. Fantastic staff.
The room and hotel was really nice. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Sadly, the air conditioning unit kept dripping because of the heavy rain outside. Overall, though the hotel was great. The staff, for the most part, spoke great English and they were extremely helpful during my stay. They even helped book a taxi service for my flight, and it was not only cheap, reliable and safe. The hotel was a little hard to find because the sign wasn't visible from the main street, but once I found it on day 1, it was easy to find and a great location right next to the metro.Would definitely RECOMMEND.

Review is reflected by the price. This isn't the Hilton, but is a nice little hotel with easy access to Metro links which are all excellent. Would have rated 4 but asked for Laundry service as advertised as one of the facilities and was told to go to a launderette down the road.
