Although we knew it was a smoking room that we booked. (Room 316)The room smelt like an ashtray was just dumped out and the cigarettes were still smoldering.
We booked an addition stay and got room 322 and was pleasantly surprised that there was no smoke smell.

Hotel allows pets, but apparently doesn’t see if they’re clean. Either fleas or bedbugs were biting me. Otherwise the hotel and staff themselves were the best part of the visit.

The room smelled of smoke and mold. The bed sheets were dirty and smelled horrible. The place was not very clean there were homeless people sleeping in the car when we pulled up at 11:30 also there was about 20 people in the lobby partying. We actually checked out a day early because how dirty it was.

It was clean and the staff was nice. However, it is horribly run down. The shower curtain rod was hanging down so much it wouldn’t stay closed. The bathroom counter was coming away from the wall. Light switch plates were cracked. Not worth the price.

Wonderful staff. Neat, clean, well kept hotel outside and inside. Plenty of safe, well lit parking. Rooms are nice, clean, spacious, comfortable temperature. Breakfast area clean, neat, organized, basic but sufficient breakfast offerings.

Staff was somewhat snippy upon arrival. Entry door was broken and did not have a close delay so, whenever someone entered or exited the door would slam shut. This went on all hours of the night. Guests were incredibly noisy in the hallway all hours of the night. Will not be staying here again.

Bring your own pillow! There were 4 so called pillows that felt like they were stuffed with hard lumpy towels. HORRIBLE. The bedside "menu" of information was nasty, sticky, gross. Continental breakfast was gross. The muffin I opened was smashed and old. Really unappetizing. Nothing good to eat...last day there were unripe bananas. Shady characters hanging around smoking, grungy. One morning a bunch of construction guys walked through for coffee and tracked red dirt all over the lobby/eating area. No one seemed to care to come clean that up for the guest experience. I would not recommend this place unless you have no other option.

Microtel was much better than I expected when booking. Easy in and out parking. We arrived pretty late but the room was ready when we got there. Maybe its is a ‘thing’, but almost the entire wall above the bed full mirrors was overkill.

So the only real thing I noticed negative was the bathroom door hinges were reallllllly rusted. Like they had been burrowed from the titantic. Other than that it was great and perferct.

I was going to see family for Christmas and saw reviews about this place being “award winning.” I’m very blue collar but I was even a bit taken back. The rooms are extremely outdated. Small. All the beds are queen and feels like springs going into your back. When I asked for a bigger room and would pay whatever I needed, I was moved with no charge. The next day I had 3 charges of the same. I brought it up to the manager who said the girl did it wrong and they would clear. It’s now 3 days after Xmas and they are still there. We went to our “new” room where our TV didn’t work. I had to stand on a chair everyday and switch the outlet for it to work.
Breakfast is a hot waffle maker and then some packaged muffins and oatmeal. The juice machine was even broke.
Overall, I’m highly unimpressed and my body hurts. I am absolutely flabbergasted how this hotel won awards.
Will not stay here again and sad I spent the money.

We had a 2 night stay. Room was very clean and the front desk guy was very helpful during check in. Bed was a little too hard for my liking but other than that it was a great stay.

I regret booking here. I came with my family and my 7 month old daughter. First the manager who checked us in was very rude. When I get to my floor, the entire floor smelled of cigarette smoke. Then I get into the room and was instantly disgusted. It smelled musty like an old wet towel. Then I peeled back the sheets and saw cigarette holes in the mattress pad. There were also yellow stains all over the mattress pad. There were random white caking stains on the curtains as well. Going into the bathroom, there was mold in the shower and the metal rack where the towels lay, there was rust on them. Be careful booking here. They’re clearly lazy and do not care.

Room and bathroom were in need of remodeling and mattress was too firm. Carpets needed replacing! To be the only motel of any size in a 20 mile radius and so close to a middle size college, you would think it would be of better quality.

Nothing. Room very small. Pot smoke smell once you get in elevator and throughout the halls

Toilet to low and toilet paper roll too far across the bathroom out of reach.
Dont stay here room like college dorm bed lumpy hard amd pillows hard and lumpy too. Dont ask for extra pillows they only have one to spare.

They cancelled our stay before we got there and would not help us in anyway. They said I should have gotten an email which I never did. The front desk staff acted like I was the problem and were very rude and disrespectful.

Our records indicate your reservation was held with an invalid payment form, notification of which was sent via Expedia days prior to your scheduled arrival as well as again on the date of arrival. The payment form was not updated and the reservation was canceled per policy, notification of cancelation was sent via Expedia as well. Upon your arrival our front desk department did offer accommodations based on our availability at that time and contacted property management twice during the interaction for instruction on how to attempt to accommodate your needs. The doors on the side of the hotel did not have a lock. Usually, all exterior doors have a lock, and you need a hotel key to get in. Anyone could come inside the hotel because there was no lock.

Bugs in room. Had to end up throwing our chicken away, cause we not only seen one bug but two in the refrigerator. Couldn't sleep. Afraid something would crawl on me or my family. Its was soo ridiculous. First time, but NEVER AGAIN!!!

Short and sweet
I didn't check in till almost midnight. Staff was very nice and the room was great. I just needed a place to stay overnight, perfect for that. And it was in a great location.
We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. Upon checkin we found that the light in the bathroom was not working and they upgraded us without additional cost to a larger room. It was on the 3rd floor part of which had smoking rooms and you could smell the smoke heavily in the hallway. However, once in the room we couldn't smell any smoke. It was bright and clean. I enjoyed an evening dip in the pool. It was getting dark already and the lights didn't come on and the lady at the front desk told us it was on a timer and it wasn't working. Other than that the water in the pool was warm but it was clean. I also used the laundry room and even though I started my laundry later than the opening hours stated on the door, the receptionist was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast bar was clean and stocked. I had a yogurt and a bagel.
