Very impressed with the staff at this property, especially the guy in reception, so friendly and helpful, this was our second stay and they had stored our bags while we were on the Overland Track for a week, delighted on return that our bags had been put in the room ready for us. We had a one bedroom apartment, very spacious, with a full kitchen and laundry. The only negatives were the washing machine was a little dirty and had to be cleaned before use and the sofa isn't very comfy. Apart from that we really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Parking near the property was easy and street parking was free between 5.30pm and 9am and they also provided a parking card for the secure multi level carpark across the road. Would definately stay again.

This is a hotel in a period building, so has some little quirks. Centrally located and easy to walk anywhere in the CBD for shopping or food. We stayed in a Studio which was surprisingly spacious and comfy. Big shout out to the friendly reception staff, we were able to store bags while on a Trek, as we were leaving before reception opened, they let us leave the bags in our room, drop our key in the key box and they collected and stored our bags once we had left. The only downside to this hotel is the lift is ancient and you can hear it in the rooms, but they do provide ear plugs conveniently available in the lift.

The desk staff are very nice and helpful. The property is old and really needs some updates. The fridge and microwave was good but the dishwasher is terrible. You can't hear the tv when the dishwasher is running. The elevator is really loud and you can hear it groaning away when someone is using it.

We found the shower with hair in it from previous guests, old clothing on the top of a cupboard, and grotty window sills with lots of smoke butts left outside of them. These were our first impressions of this property which was disappointing.

Was a large, fully equipped apartment with laundry, which was great. The beds were clean and comfortable with fresh white linen and towels were soft, fluffy and luxurious. However there was build up of mould in the main shower cubicle in easy to clean areas, the fabric lounge was covered in stains as were the carpet squares, and the air conditioner was spitting out particles/dust. In the twin room, the spare pillow had hair on it, and there was rubbish on the window sill behind the curtain. The apartment had little noise protection from neighbouring units or the nearby clock tower that chimed more than regularly (note they provided earplugs in the lift but i can't sleep with nor would choose to stay somewhere that required you too). While staff were friendly and helped were they could, most of these flaws could have been easy fixed with a decent all-over deep clean.

The history of the building was amazing and all around Launceston. Great city to visit and explore. The views from our room of the city were fantastic, unfortunately the lack of basic maintenance and upkeep to the rooms is very disappointing to see.

General cleaning was a lot to be desired
Nice a spacious apartment & staff were lovely & very helpful, but I needed to clean kitchen, bathroom before I could use. Bathroom tiles with mould & hair on the floor which wasn't ours , black scum in plud hole of the bathroom sink. Kitchen cupboard & draws had to be wiped out before I could use , kitchen sink was brown with sains !! Don't think it's had a good clean for month / Years !! No excuse seeing it was closed during COVID.

Central location. Apartment had everything but would be better if it also had a washing machine and dryer especially if you were there for a longer stay.

Affordable but not worth the saving
Checked in to room to find old wet towel hanging on back of bathroom door, toiletries from previous guest in vanity & opened milk in fridge. Old town clock is close by & goes off every hour every hour of the night - hard to get any sleep.

Room needed renovating
The space was roomy enough, with all the facilities that we needed, but needs an upgrade to the kitchen area and bathroom. The tap in the kitchen sink was very difficult to use. Unfortunately, our room was on the corner closest to the clock tower, which chimed all night, making for a disturbed sleep. I recommend asking for a room on the other side of the building.

There was not much to enjoy or like about our stay. We were put in a basement (or should I say dungeon) room that was a bit smelly, dark, and noisy. The WiFi didn’t work because we were in the dungeon, we did request another room but the only room offered was one where the TV didn’t work - I wish we had taken it! The room was clean but still felt grotty, but that could have just been because of the terrible lighting. I can’t remember ever disliking a hotel room this much - it was truly awful. It has turned me off ever booking a Quest hotel in the future.

Great location for walking to most things you'll want to do in Launceston. Our room was one of the lofts. It meant we had to lugg our big bags up the U shaped stairs. The bed was very firm and the pillows, well let's just say they're well past their use by date. No off street parking arrangement anymore and the options were poorly communicated. Overall it was very average.

Was disappointed when I booked my stay it stated free parking, when we arrived they no longer have free parking therefore we had to pay! Was not happy if I knew I would have changed as this was a factor in booking this hotel. Internet is a bit hot and miss first night was good second night we couldn’t get any internet.
