This place was so beautiful, quiet and relaxed. The staff was super attentive. They were extremely helpful in everything. The room spacious and has everything that is needed. Beds very comfortable.Breakfast was delicious. We will comeback.

Cute & Quaint
The hotel is small & quaint. You will need to rent a car, rent an ATV, and/ or take a taxi to the center of town or the beaches. We rented an ATV for $50/ day. The hotel concierge can call the ATV rental, and they deliver the ATV right to the hotel. The center of town is very busy, and has plenty of shops and restaurants. The closest beaches are Playa Popy, Playa Ballenas, and Playa Bonita. All 3 beaches connect, and each beach is a little bit different. The hotel has a nice restaurant, and breakfast is included daily.

The hotel uses the loval saman wood as its base decor - simply stunning! My 2nd time here - staff are numero uno…guests need to understand beach is not walking distance howevervthis was bot a priority for me so….☺️…peace quiet besuty tranquility amazing food & service were!!! Gracias a todos Uds!!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Samán hotel in Las Terrenas. It is a beautiful place. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the pool and hotel areas well maintained and customer service is unmatched. The staff was exceptional in all areas of the hotel. Betania, the manager was very welcoming and fantastic. The decor is all natural throughout the hotel using the actual Samán wood. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay there. If you are in Las Terrenas, this is a great hotel to stay. We can't wait to go back.

Extremely friendly people. Nice cute hotel. But things you should know. The beach is NOT walkable…ESPECIALLY if you have children!!! The distance is FAR z& the area you need walk through not family friendly. Recommend for couples with a vehicle only.

I liked the property overall and there’s so much potential on things that can be done at the property. However, the staff didn’t provide customer service and they were restricting us into doing anything, we couldn’t stay in the pool past 8pm even though we weren’t making any noise we were just having a conversation, we couldn’t bring our own drink by the pool (they have what it looks like a bar by the pool but there’s nothing there, and no one to service it) there’s really not much to do around the area where the resort is so they should provide more entertainment for the guests, you can’t eat food you bring from outside even though they are not an all inclusive resort and their kitchen closes at 10pm. They don’t allow guests in the pool are even if you try to pay them for guests to be around the pool are (not to swim) overall there’s way too many restrictions in this place that makes your stay like you are in a prison and not in a hotel where you go to relax and have a good time. I would suggest they make use of the bar they have by the pool and maybe keep the kitchen open with a grill for people eat and have a nice drink by the pool, they should also have maybe a band one night so guests can have candlelight dinner while listening to good music. Overall, there’s plenty of room for improvement and revenue making and they are not taking advantage of.

Regarding your comments we would like point out some aspects.Pools restrictions: Pools are available from 8am to 8pm. On rooftop top area we also have rooms. We must assure of tranquility at night to guests staying in this area. In your case, you get out of the pool 10.30pm.Visitors Restriction. Our guest may welcome visitors to enjoy of our restaurants services. In your case we did not allow your visitor because he was trying to get in alcohol to enjoy it at pool area.Food Restrictions: Restaurant is available from 12.30pm to 10.30pm. We also provide bar services at roof top area until10.30pm. This Information is provide at check in and also at our welcome letter. I am afraid, but we do not allow food external food or drinks. Finally, we put all our care and love to get the best memories on our guest stay, taking into account the respect and the fact we do have 24 rooms and we need to assure the best stay for each guest.Best Regards,

Beatiful hotel, best staff and service, delicious breakfast options and very nice and spacious rooms. We were on a two-week roadtrip around Dominican Republic and this was the best place we stayed at. The only downside is that the beach is not really walkable distance close so I highly recommend taking a taxi (approx.$10 to Punta Poppy beach) We all agreed we would definitely be returning.
