Reasonable hotel

Pros: Staff pleasant,
Staff friendly and helpful. Convenient for business, work as easy taxi ride from Preston railway station. Rooms a bit dusty and upholstery etc getting old. Otherwise comfortable stat

Close to Town Centre & centrally located in city.

Hotel staff very helpful & polite. Only problem disable room is located on 7th floor & lift does not operate after 10pm from ground floor, which is a problem if physically disable person stays in hotel. The bar closes at 2am, but night staff was very helpful & permitted us to stay late if all in good order. Overall, the second stay in hotel was a very good experience. Looking forward to next stay in hotel.

One night in Preston

Posted 06-May-2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Cleanliness. Proximity to town. Bathroom had a bath, not just a shower.
Cons: Increase parking spaces. Double room should be a double bed, not 2 singles pushed together. Ammendments to bookings made easier. Balcony.
Location: Relatively close to shops, bars and restaurants & a very friendly 'Celtic' orientated pub - 'The Sun Hotel'. Taxi ride to 53° venue.
Friendly welcome and helpful staff at reception, in the bar and throughout the hotel. Arrived early, so was able to claim one of the few parking spaces. Location handy for the town and relatively easy to locate, with a lovely view of the busy main road! Visited the shopping streets & malls, a short walk away and had a few beers in the Sun Hotel, a very friendly Celtic orientated pub and had some food next door. Ventured to the 53° venue to see 'the South' formerly 'The Beautful South' in the evening. A good day/night in Preston.

Stayed just the one night so we could go to a gig in the city, perfect location for walking to the venue, pubs and a wide range of restaurants and takeaways. Clean accommodation and pleasant and helpful staff.

Great customer service

I always know what to expect with Holiday Inn. Preston was up to the mark. The reception staff were very helpful in supplying me with a map and taking time to give me directions across town.
