Nice place to stay - great breakfast

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: The modern decor in reception and buffet breakfast
Cons: Update the family wing. Some of the doors to the rooms were quite worn
Location: The hotel is only a 15/20 minute walk to the Blackpool North train station and less to town centre which makes it a convenient place to stay.
Stayed one night with our granddaughter in a family room. These are located at the back of the hotel. We were given a top floor room as requested and although you overlooked some shops, the view beyond was lovely and very quiet. The room was a bit dated (compared to the rest of the hotel) but large for a family of 3. The buffet breakfast was superb with a huge selection for all tastes and the swimming pool was great for spending an hour or two in before departure. The staff were very friendly in all departments.

Jaded

Posted 07-Jul-2014
We have stayed at Hilton hotels before. Considering how expensive it was to stay at the Hilton Blackpool this was probably the worst Hilton we have stayed at. Our room and bathroom was jaded and needs a good make over. The twin beds were small and not that comfortable. There was no air conditioning in the room. One of the 3 lifts was broken. Got fed up waiting for lifts, so used the stairs. Lucky for us, only on the 2nd floor. Hilton WiFi is not free. If you are registered with BT Openzone you can get free internet connection a this hotel. It's time they made WiFi free for all customers. I've recently returned from the USA, all hotels provided free WiFi.

Cons: Had o pay £5.00 a night parking & £15.00 for internet for 24hrs
Location: Location was great, loads to do close to town, beach & entertainment
Was ok, but I thought the hilton was meant to be a top hotel, this one was just average

Pros: Food and customer service
Cons: Decoration of foyer
Location: Walking distance to town or short taxi ride. Plenty to do.
Would highly recommend this hotel as one of the best in Blackpool. Room spotless, facilities good, food at both dinner and breakfast first class.

Fantastic Staff

Posted 03-Jun-2014
Pros: Great staff, great location
Cons: House keeping was disappointing as was general decorative condition of room and bathroom. Shower pressure was non existent
Location: Great location, right on the edge of town, just a short walk.
Very friendly and helpful staff all round. The reception ,Health Club, bar and restaurant staff in particular were very good. Restaurant let down by very average food quality and choice, not bad, just nothing special. Only disappointing thing was room was not cleaned very well. Travelling with a toddler I was fishing out a toy from under the master bed on the first night and noticed an orange M&M sweet and under the bed, shame it was still there three days letter when we left.

Lovely hotel, beautiful views of the beach

Posted 02-Jun-2014
We had a lovely stay. The staff were very kind and polite. One member of the bar staff went out of his way to research the title of a film for us. The breakfast waitress's were very efficient and the hotel had organised complimentary drinks, a cake and parking as a birthday treat.
