A fabulous place

The staff was exceptional, the workout facilities/spa the best & location ideal for us. The transit system is fantastic! Scotland is beautiful!!!! The only issue was slow internet access.

Long weekend away

Pros: Position, the gym and warmth!
Cons: Better, more modern furniture in teh bedroom. The furniture was a bit tired!
Location: Vsitied family and shopped!
Good! The gym was great! The hotel was well postioned for the areas we wanted to go to like Braehead, Troon and Barrhead.

A Holiday Inn in desperate need of an update.

Posted 31-Mar-2014
A very tired Holiday Inn in need of refurbishment in all areas. The stay was only made tolerable due the standard of the staff which was good. Breakfast at the price was poor value for money. Will be using the nearby HI Express if I need to stay in the area again. Certainly not of the standard we have come to expect of the HI Hotel chain. Feel these days they are a poor second to several other chains.

Maybe some softer pillows would have completed the experience!

Pros: see above
Location: 15 mins from Glasgow. where there is a lot to see and do. East Kilbride town center has array of shops for everybody.
This was the first Holiday Inn that we had stayed at, and we would certainly stay again. providing they are all like the Holiday Inn in East Kilbride. Staff exceptional friendly, knowledgeable about the area, shops and transport. Very clean nothing seemed a problem. East Kilbride town center is 5 mins away. pretty villages nearby, the only let down was the front of the shop centre by bus station looked rough.

Disappointing

Posted 01-Oct-2013
Pros: It was close to places we wanted to visit on our ancestral tour.
Cons: We were charged for the third adult in the room. The room was too small for three adults which had two singles and a cot.
Location: Not a lot going on in East Kilbride.
The room was too small for three adults. There were two single beds and a cot and the room was so cramped it was hard to move. We were charged extra for the 3rd person. The shower curtain was smelly.

A nice place

Have used this hotel several times in the past and found it to be of good standard but it seems like on this trip that i paid for a Deluxe room and received an executive, which wasn't too pleased with. there are food houses close by with a short car drive and is about 25 mins from the town centre....
