The facility was very well appointed and extremely clean and with an attractive garden and plenty of parking - all set in a residential neighborhood with access to public transport.
The host was always extremely pleasant and helpful. We also really enjoyed the generous breakfast. Would certainly return again.
Man at check in was angry...asked me why I used the App when I could book directly since I was there before. He said “It’s your money!” I had stayed there years ago with my parents. I would think twice before staying here again. The facilities have been remodeled but the man at the desk is not friendly and needs to be corrected!
This hotel is a beautiful old mansion excellently maintained and updated with all the amenities. Breakfast was fantastic in a bright sunroom. Area was a tight residential community but parking was provided and the garden is indeed “schön”.
Friendly and helpful staff and owner, good breakfast, nice and super clean rooms, spotless! Easy walk for about 30min to the island. Happy to stay there again once I am in the region
Nothing wrong with this hotel and big, clean and newly renovated house. Parking on the property. It was about 5-10 minutes to the island by car. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.
Great hotel. Better to have a car, although they do offer a free local bus pass.

Thanks for your positive reply. Walking distance to the historical island of Lindau is aprox. 20 minutes. FOC bus services are covered by the tourist tax charges .
Hope to see you again!
We had 2 double rooms and both had comfortable beds and good showers. Added bonus of having black-out shutters and finding small bags of Haribo on our beds. Owner and staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and the dining room was a pretty room. Approx. 20 mins. to walk to old town Lindau but if you take the hotel paper document you're given at check-in, you can get on the bus for free (2 buses - nos. 1 and 3 will take you to the island). Would happily stay again should we ever be back in the area. We all thought it should be a 4 star hotel.

Thank you very much Wendy. We look forward welcoming you in our hotel again.
I loved this hotel for its proximity to the sights I had come to see. It was practically in the shadow of the castle. I received a warm welcome and helpful attitude from the staff I encountered. I rated the hotel a "4" for comfort rather than a "5" only because it was a standard room, not an extra-comfy one. This was fine with me -- I was not looking for a luxury hotel, only a hotel close to the action where everything would work.
Lovely accommodation, only slight downside being that it was 15 mins walk to island but very easy and safe stroll. Staff were lovely and breakfast was high standard
Lovely old hotel refurbished in a contemporary style within walking distance of new town but had to drive to the old town. Staff were very helpful with information and directions and the continental breakfast in the conservatory was perfect.
We had a great experience at this Hotel in Lindau. Not far from the island by car (couple of minutes away). Room was new, great bathroom also.
Breakfast was included in the price and was pretty good too
Enjoyed our room esp. Breakfast was good, and obviously had some labor intensive items. Breakfast room, excellent. Location was ok, quiet, but nothing near by. Did enjoy walking the trail at the end of the road. Received good information re: side trips
We are an Australian couple travelling through France, Germany & Austria.
We have experienced many different types of accomodation, Apartments in Paris,Gites, Villas and hotels and have enjoyed every one to date. Europe is a beautiful country.
The room was nice, not too large but it had a desk as well as an armoire. The bathroom was also very nice and clean. The only complaint I had with the room was the bed and shower curtain. The bed itself was fine but the mattress didn't have much support and consequently sagged in the middle quite a bit, to the point of having a rather fitful night of tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable position. The shower was very nice except that there was no enclosure but instead a shower curtain that you had to pull around the curtain rod to enclose 2 sides. The problem is that the floor was pretty much all one level without a step-down in the shower area and if you had the shower head pointing toward the curtain the water would tend to flow underneath and flood the rest of the bathroom. The other problem with a shower curtain creating half of the 4 "walls" is that it would tend to get sucked in on your body and make for a cold surprise at times.
The staff was very helpful with information regarding our next day's visit to King Ludwig's Neuschwanstein Castle. We were told that we could make on-line reservations and bypass the long lines for tickets. The real benefit for me doing this was the ability to also request the elevator ride up and down inside the castle instead of walking up many steps. I have a bad back and this was extremely helpful for me. They also have a very steep discount for those with disabilities and in need of the elevator which was another bonus.
Nice small hotel in quiet neighborhood off the island proper...The included breakfast was typical European style...Rental bikes were well maintained and reasonable at 9 euro per day... Wi-Fi was sketchy in our 2nd floor room, but we always managed to eventually get a connection...so Etihad requiem a half dozen or more reload attempts... Always found a parking space, but the lot is small...10 minute drive of 40 minute walk to harbor on island...
The hotel is nice, the breakfast the best I had on my trip, but the wi-fi costs five Euros, and doesn't work if you have a Mac. The manager was very grumpy about it, and in the end I paid 5 Euros for wi-fi that didn't work. But Lindau's a nice place.
