Sweet and Simple Accommodations
My stay here had an interesting start. The room I initially had was riddled with flies. I saw the sign that said any issues with the room needed to be addressed in 30 mins. Once I alerted the staff, I was given a new room, no problem! Im used to staying in 4 or 5 star accommodations but Lake City is a developing area, these accommodations are updated, but not posh. Clean, professional, and they feed you. I will be back again if I needed a hotel near Kingstree.

50th high school reunion
My stay was great. I stayed an extra day and had to pay more than I wanted to because I paid through the hotel instead of contacting hotels.com I will definitely stay again.

We were in Lake City to attend a funeral. There seemed to be a shortage in acceptable rooms in the area, and we were quite concerned after reading some of the other reviews. So, we booked two rooms at Quality Inn and carried our own sheets and towels. I was quite relieved when I walked into the room. The floors were tiled so no dirty carpet to worry about. The bedding was clean and the towels were quite adequate. I carry a portable blacklight flashlight for seeking out bodily fluids. I am pleased to say that I found none in either room. Breakfast (such as it was) wasn't supposed to be served until 7AM, but both days they were late in setting it up. There are plenty of other breakfast opportunities in the area. The manager was adequate meaning he did his job ...nothing more .. nothing less ... with zero personality thrown in. It mattered not to me as all I was seeking was a clean, safe place for me and my family to lay our heads while in the city. Quality Inn met that need.

When I checked in got to my room it stunk really bad had to change rooms the next room still had the smell it was late when I check in with my kids I wanted to cry we had no choice to stay had to go to Walmart and buy stuff to clean and a plug-in to feel comfortable don’t let the pics deceive you looks nice but not clean and on top of that I got charged more then the Expedia price would never stay here again.

Price was way too high for a no frills hotel. Found a frog jumping around the bathroom. Door handle to suite next door comes off in your hand.

This location is close to family so when we come to visit we look for convenience. They are not only rude if you don't book through a booking site, but also the bedding was dirty they never had any extra wash rags when we asked for them. I was upset that I arrived with my family at midnight and had to ask for fresh linen for both beds, I was tired but refuse to sleep in a dirty bed even down to the extra mattress cover was dirty with look like pee spots so I removed it all and sprayed the beds down and replaced it with the fresh linen from the front desk attendee which was ball up not folded, but he wasn't happy and tried to tell me they're clean. I showed it to him and he said that's the cover, no matter what it is sir I would like it clean.

The neighborhood lacked charm. It was just gas stations and fast food restaurants, just like Anywhere USA. But the hotel was very clean. My only complaint is they were clearly understaffed as our room wasn't ready when we arrived past 3:00. It seemed as if the gentleman who was very nice behind the desk was doing everything from reception to cleaning rooms. I do hope he finds some good help soon as it broke my heart to see him work so hard. Also the room had a strong perfume smell which was hard to get used to. But again, very clean

The walls in the room was very nasty.it was all the wall in the room.the sheet had blood stains on them.the blast was spots on them.the curtains was nasty too.the furniture was nice and the bath tub had hair in it.I understand you was short staff .But after driving 11hour and I ask can I get in the room at 245.you say check is at 3and we wait to 3 now you say the room not ready.But I couldn't get pass those walls i can still see them in my mind.

Great stay, this hotel deserves higher average rating. Rooms upgraded, neat and clean. And breakfast was decent, and it included warm waffles which made kids happy. Receptionist was friendly and helpful

I never saw a person at the front desk when I went to check-in. The lobby was locked, so I had to stand in an outside foyer and finally someone on an intercom said they would be with me shortly. Very sketchy. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Please note that there is a huge sign that says we are short on staff therefore, working in the back room. It does take about two minutes to walk to the front desk, the front desk did inform you right away via intercom that he was on his way. We apologize that felt that the shortage of staff sign and talking via intercom is sketchy. Extreme times call for extreme measures. Our desk associates always open the lobby to happily check guest in, this was not mentioned in your review. Once again thank you for staying with us.

Recently renovated. However, the breakfast choices were so poorly done that we didn't eat at the hotel. A small fridge filled with tiny yogurts and tiny muffins as the only options. Nothing hot, nothing fresh. Even the coffee wasn't freshly made in the mornings.

Yes, there is mini fridge per choice brand standard to hold yogurt and the muffins too are medium sized not mini. The hot options are Belgium waffles and the coffee machine is auto instant brew machines. All the options are researched and put in place to avoid infection after the pandemic for our guest health by our brand. Thank you

The lobby was locked the entire time. We were given the free breakfast once which consisted of bagels and stale cereal. We had only 1 towel in the room and had to go down and ask for towels but again the lobby was locked so we had to ring the boorbell and wait at least 7 minutes before someone came. It was stated that the lobby and breakfast was closed because of the hurricane but weirdly enough the day it hit was the only day breakfast was available. Not happy with the service at all.

The towels, sheets, and various places in the room were not clean, and contained spots. The tissue box had 2 tissues in it before the box was empty. The front desk attendant was excellent. However, the cleanliness of the rooms (as my family had 3 of them) were not up to par at all (speaking as someone who works in the health industry).

I did not like that this hotel did not have any cleaning services during the stay at the hotel. I frequent this hotel because of the price in the area. Hotel appears clean but there was no clean up of the room and towels were at a minimum. Overall stay was ok.
