Upon arrival the receptionist was on a call and didn’t even acknowledge we had arrived. Once the call ended we were attended to and assigned our room. Upon entering the room we noticed there were no towels in the bathroom. We hd to go to the front desk to get towels. The mattress was pretty uncomfortable but we managed for the two nights we were there. Overall experience was manageable but not top notch.

The room wasn’t clean and there are con webs in every corner of the room. The chair is stained and dirty. The room was smelly. There were hairs on the blanket. Will never stay there again.

We had to ring the bell multiple times before a worker came to help us. She did not apologize or acknowledge that we had to wait. The quality of the hotel does not match the price.

My son was having a bath when the ceiling above him started leaking into his bathwater. I mentioned it to the front desk and they gave me an email to send my concerns. I emailed twice over the span of several days. My email contained a video of the leak. After almost a week I called and still no response. Clearly they have no concern for customer service. The ceiling had obvious signs of being patched but the underlying issue apparently was not fixed.

Hi WendyI did receive and respond back to your email on Monday of this week right after your stay with us. I put a discount on your room and refunded your credit card 40.00 on Monday and I also tried to call you but must not have a correct phone number. I do apologize you felt I was ignoring the situation however I did take the issue seriously. I turned the matter over to my maintenance team to fix the issue as to not be a reoccurring problem. Here at Super 8 we do strive to exceed our guests expectations and again apologize we did not exceed yours. Thank you again for bringing this matter to my attention so we could get it taken care of promptly.

Not my best stay!
The stay was about what I would expect for a Super 8. The bed was clean but not especially comfortable with an old very blanket used over the sheets. The bathroom smelled of mildew and pee. The mirror and nightstand had wipe marks left from cleaning. Overall, the stay was ok, but the bathroom smell was unacceptable and the old crunchy blankets they use make me not want to stay again. It wouldn’t have done any good to complain while I was there because they were so short staffed.

Adequate place to spend the night. Breakfast offered a high variety of options.(Best part of our stay). Staff was polite and recorded room discrepancies. Shower was hot and had good pressure A bit noisy from overhead occupants. Sink drain was very slow and could be easily corrected by cleaning out the drain path.

the night front desk employee said it's cheaper to book online . so I booked a room online standing at the front desk. when I checked out I asked how much I was charged and she said $124.??. I explained my card said I was charged $162. she said because I booked online it was more expensive?? there was no shower curtain in the bathroom and the sink wouldn't drain. I am very unpleased. I was wanting to use the spa as well and it was broken. it had been for a while but outside the sign still says they have a spa.

I think it would be helpful if the owners of this property invested a little money in updating this facility. the carpets were quite stained. I felt as if this property had been neglected. Many people travel through this area and I think it would be worth the financial investment in improvements.

The things we care about most when traveling: comfortable bed, good shower w/ nice water pressure, cleanliness & quiet. All of these were excellent! Bed had a pillow topper & was soft and comfortable. Hot tub was very relaxing after travel. We were in the disability room, so things were spacious and close to all amenities. One negative, someone in a wheelchair would be frustrated with no towel rack or ring close to the sink having to trek across the bathroom to access a one.

Good mid-range hotel
This is a good mid-range hotel. The staff are excellent and it has always been clean. The condition of the property is not great, just run down and very worn. Prices are usually good. Breakfast is just ok.

Good clean place. Staff could probably go through some customer service training, but they got me checked in satisfactorily. i only ding because the carpets and decor are 30 years old. Hotel could use an update.

This hotel is very old and in need of updating. Overall clean, but old. There is no elevator, electrical plugins are not in a convenient location with no usb plug options. Hotel was short staffed so I had to find someone to check us in. She was doing the best she could under not so great circumstances. And for whatever reason they hotel chose to steam clean their stairs during checkin time. Which if they had an elevator, it wouldn’t be inconvenient. However since the stairs are the only option, it was inconvenient m, especially since the gentleman cleaning them made no effort to make room for our elderly parents trying to make their way up the stairs. I would not recommend this hotel for anything other than a place to get sleep and then leave.

Probably the best hotel in La Grande. Rates are a bit too expensive, but the hotel is definitely cleaner and nicer than other hotels in the city.
