“Better than good enough”

The staff was helpful on arrival, letting us check in half hour early and getting a microwave into our room. The pool and hot tub were clean and not crowded. The desk staff the second and third days were OK, but not very interested in their jobs, sometimes both being out away from the desk to smoke outside. Oranges, minimuffins and bagels for breakfast...simple and clean. Comfortable bed, good shower and quiet A/C. Easy internet access (wireless) and computer with access in lobby for free. We did not hear the train, and are happy we did not stay in a motel closer to the railroad. For the extra 10% we got quiet, pool, hot tub and breakfast. Would stay there again.

“it was filthy”

The room was old and filthy. We checked in later at night so didn't really notice till the morning. the bed was so old it was like sleeping on a sponge. In the morning the sheets had pulled off bed and we saw rips tears stains on mattress that would make a fly puke. This room was disgusting. The pictures on the web site are not like anything when you get there. so if you choose this hotel then dont complain if you get bed bugs.

“poorly managed, poorly cleaned.”

unprofessional staff in office, texting and watching TV instead of attending to customers. We had to ask that housekeeping return to clean our bathroom, only the beds had been made, trash wasnt even emptied in the room. They didnt have a crib or pac and play for the baby. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Will stay again.”

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. They offer a continental breakfast and a coupon for 10% off your breakfast at Dennys, which is right next door. Rates were good compared to other motels in the area.

The hotel is an older place, but it was clean and quiet.

“Read every review before booking.”

The pictures on the website are not representative of the hotel. The room we were in did not look anything like the pictures of newly renovated rooms posted on the website. While the hotel is probably fairly priced for an older 2 Star facility, travelers should have no allusions that it is anything other than a lower end 2 Star motel.

“Excellent value”

It was a great price for the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to use the microwave any time. The popcorn in the vending machine is a good idea. We will definately stay there when we visit LaGrande.

“Nice stay for 3 nights”

This was probably the nicest place in town once and is obviously undergoing refurbishing including indoor painting right now. I have stayed in two other places in the "island" area and will return here next time. Bob
