Stayed 4 nites. Good location. Good basic service. Breakfast was at Thon standards. Room was large, but sparsely furnished and with bare floor. Housekeeping was sporadic and we were given letter as a heads up it would be , but was still below par. Egon restaurant attached was good.

Sentralt og basic
Varmt på rommet og liten (men komfortabel) seng. Rommet var ellers rent og i fin standard. Veldig sentralt, med p-hus vegg i vegg (døgnpris ca. 200,-) Fikk beskjed om å velge klokkeslett for når vi ønsket å komme til frokost, og fikk beskjed om at det mellom 09:30 og 10:00 kunne bli tomt for mat, noe jeg syns var litt merkelig ettersom frokosten skal serveres frem til klokken 10:00. Frokosten var ellers ganske minimalistisk med div. påleggskuverter og egg. Grønnsaker var kun tilgjengelig på en ferdigpakket tallerken som også besto av eggerøre og røkt laks. Det er forståelig at frokostutvalget begrenses pga. Smittevern, men syns de kunne ha løst det på en annen måte.

Very central hotel. Breakfast wasn't great but I have to note that covid restrictions might have made a difference as everything was individually packaged etc. Regarding hygiene measures regarding the pandemic top notch.

Slightly different stay han expected
We stayed at Thon kristiansand for only one night. We were two couples, with children at the age of 12. The other couple had upgraded their room with one extra guest, but when we checked inn, they apologised, and told us that they could not redeem their request. There was no beds availiable. Our friends was sent to another hotel near bye. The hotel was full. When entering our room, we found out that we had been given a very small room, with two beds + "a bed in a draw" Our reservation said that we had paid for å double bed + a single bed. Besides this, our stay was pleasant.

Good location, handy for the town and ferry
Stayed here overnight before taking the ferry early morning. Well situated for restaurants and bars and a five minute drive from the ferry. Offered a breakfast box when we said we were leaving early so would miss the breakfast. Highly recommended - parking is extra either underground or “roof” (which is just above the reception area so overlooked by some rooms)

Great location
The location was spot on. It was next to the pedestrian shopping area and within walking distance to the church and rail hub. If you are driving, you are only a five minute drive to the ferry to Denmark. The parking is a bit tight but it’s no problem if you’re careful.

Just wasn’t as well outfitted as other Thon hotels. Missing a number of small details like no welcoming bowls of fruit in the lobby, very thin bath towels, no ice machine to name a few.

Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, but paper-thin walls. Fortunately the rooms beside me were empty for most of my stay, but on the last night I could hear every time the water was on in the bathroom and muffled conversation from the neighboring room.

Great for a business stay.
Just a quick overnight stay at the hotel on a business trip. Clean, comfortable room and friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Didn’t get a chance to see much of the local are but the hotel was very central to the small town. Will definitely stay again if I’m in the area on business.

Stopover before catching ferry to Denmark
Booked a night here as connection for ferry wasn't great.seemed very pricey for a Sunday night. Great location close to the train station and the ferry terminal. 5 min walk to both. Hotel breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from. Staff were courteous but unable to provide information in English. Bathroom was tiny!

Good hotel for short stay
Spent a night at the hotel. Good location, right in the downtown of KRS. Room is a little small but ok. Breakfast was good with pretty sufficient choices of food. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The welcome from the reception staff was excellent with a smile and information regarding Kristiansand 4*. The room was a little cramped as we were travelling with our teenage daughter who slept on a fold out foam chair, not very comfortable. No noticeable views but a good central location for sights and shopping. The breakfast area is in the basement which filled up rapidly, overflow seating was on the ground floor meaning a lot of stair walking, the food was of good standard and variety.

The fold out foam Chair is a good sleeping option for children, but I agree for a teenager a regular fold out bed would be better, and is usually used. We usually differentiate between children and teenagers but in Your case we have not been attentative as we should. I appologize for this and promise we will remind ourselfes about this issue.
