I recently stayed at this accommodation, and it offers great basic amenities in a central location. Conveniently, everything is within walking distance. The highlight for me was the delightful pool, adding a refreshing touch to the overall experience.

The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was good with several choices. Coffee machine was great with many types of coffee. However, mosquitoes were in the room before checked in. It would be great if mosquitoes treatment was used ahead of checking in. Thanks for your great service.

Now it is just a shodow of its glorious past. The property badly needs a thorough renovation. Currently, not a good value for money. Location was good though. The attitude of the staff were so so. Breakfast was OK.

Mr Kim very polite and helpful. Breakfast staff very friendly. Comfortable bed and big rooms near pool. Average choice of food for breakfast but was fine. Good coffee machine.

This hotel was at the best location!! We had a 7/11 in rock throwing distance and literally on the strip. It was a short walk to tons of places to eat and shop! Breakfast was included and we ate el frisco every day. The staff was so accommodating. We had excursions every day so only used the hotel for sleeping and showering. The A/C was ice cold, our first room had a leaking A/C which didn’t bother us much but when room service discovered it, they quickly moved us to another room without us even having to ask. At first, sitting on the bed, we thought it was a little too firm. Let me tell you, best sleep ever! We traveled with 4 kids, 9-20yrs old and they would tell you the same! Best sleep on those beds! Also, shower water doesn’t get too hot, which is okay because it is so hot outside, the lukewarm showers felt great. If you are planning to be super busy and out and about, this hotel is perfect and the staff was so nice! Great value and price!

It was a good value budget place to stay. I liked that the TV had a few channels for English language. The breakfast was not so great. They really need to call in a chef to design a menu that works, but overall, the stay was good and I would consider staying again

Very nice stay for the price we paid. The swimming pool was lovely and clean and the stay was very comfortable. Room and bathroom was very spacious however a staff member in the kitchen was rude when I asked them to open the umbrella at the swimming pool. She started shouting saying there are customers in the restaurant and they are too busy. I then asked her who can help me as the umbrella was too heavy and she stated they will come in their own time. Apart from this incident, the stay was good.

The location of the property is great, close to the beach, restaurants and food market. However, that is really the only positive thing that can be said. Timber House is falling down! Physical structure is in obvious disrepair with holes in walls and appears as if they are just waiting to tear it down. We have traveled extensively in Thailand and this goes well beyond the normal wear and tear and crosses into waiting for demolition. The breakfast buffet is cold even at 7 am and appears to provide last evenings offerings. The restaurant is overpriced and should be avoided. The staff are friendly when engaged but generally seem to ignore guests. The location is quiet, unfortunately the same cannotbe said of the air conditioning. Stay here when they build the hotel that will replace the delapitated TimberHouse

We were automatically upgraded to a family suite on checkin. The room was large and had everything you needed. Location is great as amenities are close by. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good. Overall bery happy.

Nice hotel, close to Ao Nang beach
Overall was great, nice room with cheap price. out of my expectation, serve with English breakfast. Timber house was close to Ao Nang beach, market, shop, convenient store and restaurant .

I ask for connecting room during my booking and i got it..the reception staff were very friendly..i paid rm1140 for 2room for 5days and i felt superb worth it.. The room are spacious and the kids love the ambient..near to money changer,longtail boat ticket counter,halal foood stalls and shopping by walking distance.. the staff was friendly.wifi's abit wonky but it was not a big deal for me.my kids love the playground.we enjoy our stay.

The hotel is in a great location close walking distance to beaches and night life. Great pool, large rooms. The staff is very helpful and speak ok english. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Stayed 3 nights and on the first night had a leaky air-conditioning unit and no hot water in the shower. Staff did get both those things fixed the next day. The hotel is near to the Ao Nang strip and the rooms are big, a little out dated and food is nothing to shout about. Overall it's still a decent place to stay.

Good basic hotel with really good pool
The hotel has a really nice pool which my children aged 7 and 2 really enjoyed using. The room was spacious and had a table out in front suitable for dinning. The hotel has a restaurant which offers breakfast and dinner. I thought the dinner was better than the breakfast. There is no room service but there is street food and convenience stores only one minute from the hotel.

Checking in staff was friendly,but we have a very unpleasant stay. Room with air conditioning leaking, back doorways cannot lock, bed with blood stains. Upon checking out we were demand to pay tips for house keeping. Gave 100bth not enough demand for 200bth for one room. The staff also claim that towel missing from one of the room and we were asked to pay.Really terrible, like daytime robbery

The pictures are deceiving - the hotel is no resort and in great need of renovation. It was in a dirty area of town although popular with food and shopping. The sewage smelled terrible and although tidy I wouldn't say clean. Breakfast buffet was not that good although food was hot. Staff was friendly and brought fruit platter to my niece for her birthday. Wish we had stayed further up the road or in Railay or on one of the many Islands. The shops here hassle you and quote to our high a price for everything. The people in this area are generally aggressive and rude - one shop lady even told us to leave her shop when I said I wasn't sure what I was looking for, just browsing!

Suck!! Inexperience Hotel Staff.
Dirty and smelly room. Rust in kettle and hotel staff said all rooms are the same. Refuse to change the now one and comeback with uncleaned kettle with rust all around. Never go back. Unprofessional talks from local staffs, should be more polite and professional. I won't recommend this place to anyone I love for sure.

Went 4D3N. Room is clean and spacious, good location close for Ao Nang Diving Spot, shampoo and body wash. Not encourage for couple. NO wifi @room. NO view for any room type. Information posted is bit misleading. The shower head is malfunction, need to maintain. Pool looks bit run down and small.

Fantastic value
Our stay at timber house was very good. Front of house staff helpful. We had an evening flight so we were able to use luggage room and use hotel pool and good shower facilities after check out. The restaurant staff were lovely. Wide range of choices for breakfast. Room was large with good sized bathroom facility with good hot shower and clean. Air con ok. My bed was ok but friends found theirs quite hard and uncomfortablLe. Upgrading the bedding would be the only recommendation I would make. Fresh towels every day. Nice private patio outside the room both back and front. The jewel was the pool. This was one of the nicest resort pools I have swum in and always clean. Beautiful and exactly as shown in photos. Good position between two beautiful beaches. Night street food market just outside the hotel. Overall a really pleasant stay in a beautiful area of thailand.

No wifi inside the room. Router was spoilt but they don't seem to bother to fix it. Wifi is only at the pool area but they will close the lights at 7pm. The patio was a plus point but mosquitoes will feast on you. TV only has 4 Thai channels. Only the pool is nice about this place. Water temperature was good. Most of the staff cannot speak English, they speak Thai or Malay only. Luckily, some of us can speak Malay. They are very nice people though. Over-all, it is basically ran down and it could use a revamping. The land area was huge and rooms are big. This property is such a waste cos of poor maintenance.

this hotel is at the end of the main street where there is lots of shops and good restaurants all prices, but far enough away to be quiet. Cheap and cheerful, clean but could do with some care and atention. lovey beach to the right 5 minutes away.pleasant staff, nice pool, bar and retauant on site simple breakfast. Enjoyed the stay.

Nothing special, nice and clean.
"Great location" I usually read as, looking positively on a bad hotel. This hotel was ok, certainly nothing amazing, the location is great, right in the heart of AoNang beach area, (not on beach). The rooms are outdated but clean and spacious. The staff are not rude but not very friendly, like other areas of Thailand. Breakfast was not too great but edible. The bar/eating area doubles as a public restaurant but not very nice one and closes quite early. The pool is nice and there is a spa area although I never saw anyone in or working in the area. There is Wifi but unless you pay extra you can only use it by the pool or bar, so lots of people sat around the pool fully clothed on phones, tablets etc. I would not stay here again, I think there is maybe much nicer places for my money. But great location!!

Very bad management, stay away. They didn't have my hotel.com reservation, made me wait hours just to tell me afterwards - you can go book somewhere else - which is where I left. They offered me a horrible small military child sized bed instead of the two single beds required, no internet in the rooms, I checked out and lost my money. They said I could have it back from expedia, but didn't help in the process. luckily I was there only for 1 night. very bad day

Not the best but best for the price
Timber House Ao Nang is not a super pricy hotel in Ao Nang Beach area. Its location is not super close to the beach and its facilities are not the best among its competitors, but its rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. Most important is its rooms have sufficient sunlight. All rooms have sliding-door window. Plenty sunlight and we could hear birds' singing.
