Nice upscale resort at the end of chaweng beach, far enough away to be quieter, but not too far if you want to experience more of the action. Stayed in royal garden suite which had a large rooftop area, which to be honest we didn’t use much. Garden suites below looked as nice. Pool area was not too crowded and the restaurant served good Thai food on the beach, although plenty of other options a short beach stroll away. You get the occasional plane taking off overhead but really didn’t bother us Great option to stay in kph Samui

We loved our stay at this hotel. The best thing was the staff, they were so friendly and go above and beyond for you. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was in a great location but walkable distance from the main area. You can also get a free shuttle to their sister hotel so we enjoyed going to a different hotel/beach and exploring the area. Would stay here again

What a gorgeous, peaceful haven this was - we stayed here for 6 nights on our honeymoon in Koh Samui. The suites are stunning and the pool area and main restaurant lead directly onto the beach. Staff are warm and attentive. Exceptional location: 5-10 mins walk to the busiest part of the strip. All restaurants, bars and nightlife within easy reach!

This was an excellent place to stay. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The grounds were very well maintained with lush palm trees, and other tropical plants. The breakfast area was next to the beach frinched with palm trees too.

This is a lovely property and the staff are fantastic. Just a few minutes walk to the restaurants and bars but just far enough a way to be quiet. The grounds are well maintained and it has a great pool. Perfect place in Samui

We booked a green view suite which had an outside area which we found not clean. The wooden deck area at the beach had a number of broken pieces which made it quite hazardous for some people . We stayed 3 years ago and didn’t find it was as good . The staff were fantastic but I think they were also too busy .

Wonderful hotel in the middle of Chaweng. Extremely friendly and helpful staff Beautiful property and gardens with attention to detail. Lovely pool and beach area with great cocktails Food / Breakfast is not the same as pre-covid, which we can understand. Hopefully after season they can spend more time on improving the buffet area. Boutique hotel with great service
Classic accommodation with private rooms and outdoor seating. Rooms were big and comfortable. Some elements dated and tired for hotel facilities. Not a good place for disability access, pathways need to be upgraded. Great location and private access to beach and lagoon which is worthy of wading through the waters.

Gorgeous property with beautiful gardens leading to pool overlooking incredible lagoon beach. Room was stunning. Staff really put effort in the whole time, but made special accomodations for our honeymoon and really went the extra mile. Location is awesome because it melds tranquility of the beach with party atmosphere of Chaweng (5 minutes walk to all the nightlife). Really peaceful and classy resort. We would definitely stay there again.

First of all, we have a 20 year history with the Muang Samui; having stayed here about 6 or 7 times. We booked through Expedia for a Garden View room. On arrival, we requested to be away from the street. The receptionist first suggest a ground floor room near reception, which we didn’t want. It took several tries, but we were finally given a location we liked. The room was nice, as usual. The hotel staff was lovely, as usual. Breakfast was the usual huge spread. We still like the Muang Samui, but there was loud construction noise from an adjacent hotel under expansion up to almost 6 pm. Some of the guests in groups were super loud and rude; oblivious that other guests wanted to relax by the pool. Fortunately, they left after a few days. Outdoor we book again? Maybe...we felt we didn’t quite receive the “valued return guests” treatment with room selection that we would have been nice.

The resort is conveniently located near the nightlife. It is spacious and has a small beach right in front of the breakfast area. Motor bike rentals are conveniently available on the premises. The breakfast buffet is adequate, but it would be nice if fresh fruit juice was available as opposed to the boxed type of juice.

We totally love this accommodation from the lush vegetation all throughout the complex to the beautiful relaxing beach out the back then if you wanted crazy busy you could go to the streets out the front and shop Holiday perfection!!!

We had such a great time here. Our first time at Maung Samui Spa Resort and definitely not the last. Everything from start to finish was absolutely amazing. What I loved the most were the little thoughtful extras that showed the resort went the extra mile to make their guests happy, such as the the Thai red ruby dessert on arrival, the complimentary 15min massage at the hotel spa, the delicious banana chips in our room, the snacks served poolside, etc. You can't beat the location right in the heart of Chaweng if you want something centrally located. Steps away from lots of food, shopping, and massage options. Large, spacious, and beautifully decorated room, gorgeous bathroom with a huge shower area and separate jacuzzi. Loved the freeform pool with varying depths and mini-waterfall. Perfect for cooling off after a day in the sun. We only had breakfast at the hotel but it was a thoroughly enjoyable with an excellent array of food and drinks (including fresh juice!). Standard 5-star buffet assortment with an egg station, waffle/crepe station, and a wide variety of fruits and cheeses to end with. Exceptional and friendly service and hospitality from all the staff. Special thanks to Nadea (unsure of the exact spelling) who gave us complimentary bowls of red ruby dessert when we approached her to ask where we could find this in Chaweng. In short, a great experience and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Samui.

We arrived on Friday for 4 nights stay. There aren't many guest during this time. Nice sunny weather and friendly staffs awake us. The room is very spacious with excellent amenities and great location; only 10 mins from airport. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was included and excellent services. The local travel agent at the lobby of the hotel provide excellent price and services. Only improvement we suggest is to have hotel treat the Flies and masquito which is flying around the restaturant. Also, if hotel provide free shattle services to and from airport would be value added service to guests.

Staff excellent, pool service a little wanting and room well laid out, clean but a little tired. Housekeeping good but needed prompting to re supply items promised but when pointed out expectations the standard was great. Location great on the outer end of the main strip. Cathy of reception couldn’t be more helpful and Sarong (beverage pool bar attendant) pre-emoted our orders for happy hour. Would recommend this resort.

A great stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Muang Samui. The location is perfect - right on the beach, with easy access to restaurants and bars. The staff can't do enough to help and they make staying there a real pleasure. The pool is good and the setting of the hotel is beautiful - the staff work hard to make the gardens a tranquil place and a pleasure to walk through. The room is very clean and absolutely huge, especially the bathroom! 4 free bottles of drinking water per day was also appreciated. The maid service was brilliant each day. Breakfast is fantastic - there's so much choice, everything is so fresh, even freshly baked croissants, bread etc all with a beautiful view of the beach. The airport is less than 10 minutes away which is convenient, but of course does mean planes fly directly over the hotel - you can't really hear them in the rooms though so it doesn't really matter and of course is probably the same for all hotels in this area. We had a few minor complaints; personally, I would also prefer that the hotel didn't promote animal shows such as circuses and buffalo fighting in the guidance in the room - it would be better to promote the local ethical elephant sanctuary. The air con fan in the room was very noisy and not quite cold enough. Our room was also very close to some building work which meant sitting out on the patio in an afternoon was noisy. However, overall these things didn't affect our stay too much and we would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

Very nice resort
We stayed 5 nights over New Year's 2018/2019 and really enjoyed the resort. Nice place with large rooms and a decent beach and excellent service. My wife thought the resort seemed a little old, but I felt it was intended to be a little rustic with modern amenities. The New Year gala dinner was expansive, but way too expensive. Avoid. The spa is expensive but very nice. Breakfast is very good. We never ate lunch or dinner at the resort because there are so many good restaurants nearby. Wifi is reliable.

Nice hotel on the beach
Room was huge with a lovely large outdoor terrace with a spa bath. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Hotel is quite small with only 53 rooms making the service very personal.
