Older place, but it was a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. They did not offer a breakfast.

Clean, close to Amtrak station. Main street had fun shops and restaurants, with all those places walkable from the hotel. The staff were very nice. The hotel needs remodeling, which is obviously in the plan because they had new flooring material stacked in the lobby. No coffee though. It would be nice to have coffee in morning at least.

A pleasant stay, aside from the fall.
The motel is obviously old but well care for, some attention should be taken to salt the parking lot. I fell in a patch of black ice. A little interior paint, caulking, etc., would add to the looks, but for $65 who could expect more?

I wanted an inexpensive and safe nights sleep and that’s exactly what I got. Check in was easy and the room was clean. Heater controls were easy and effective. Complaint is that the old carpet was quite stained and dirty looking even though it seemed well vacuumed.

Local Gem
Location was downtown so easy walk to shops and museums. This is an older hotel and could use some freshening up of the decor, but it is clean. It also has an ice machine, vending machine, and washer/dryers. Trains can be heard in town but they're not a nuisance. Staff was helpful.

Service could be improved.
We found the Maverick motel to be clean and somewhat comfortable, but the service left a lot to be desired. The office was totally locked and could not be accessed and wasn't well attended, especially early morning and late evening. Our plastic water cups were never replaced even when we asked. Regular coffee was never replaced routinely. Had to ask. Also coffee cups were not replaced routinely. There was some good - towels were always fresh each day. We stayed for 8 nights so bedding was changed once. We missed having an extra chair for just sitting. Only chair was an office chair. Picture on TV was good quality.

The property was very dated but the bed was comfortable. You checked in through a window, couldn't go inside which made me a bit nervous about security but had no probems.

Had 2 rooms, 1 was kinda clean, the other was not. Hair all over the place, took pictures and showed front desk in morning. Wasn't vacuumed, hair in the bath tub. Pulled back the sheets and there was hair, next morning maid just remade the bed, hair still not removed. Coffee make had a coffee pod still in it for who knows how long.

These room's need a ton of Work, bathroom has a lot of water damage the bathroom door didn't even open or close our room smells like heavy mold covered up with major amounts of mold. I will never stay here again plus the room's are way to expensive for the shape there in. I would like someone to call me about a refund we are totally unhappy thanks.

I found nothing unique about this property. Except for maybe the giant spider that was constructing a very intricate web hanging just outside my door. Had to duck around it so as to not get caught up in it. I told the front desk person, she was not overly concerned.

The first room had a water leak. Changed rooms the next day, the toilet also wouldn’t flush. The second room was ok, but on a whole it really wasn’t great.
