Check-in was efficient. The room assigned was more than adequate. Unfortunately, the room smelt very musty and wet. I asked to be moved to another room. At approximately 18:00 there was a power dip, this resulted in a power outage only in the block I was in. The rest of the hotel had power. My issue was no torches, candles or any alternative lighting was offered or provided. The fridge defrosted leaving water on the floor. I checked out early the next morning, when the power was restored I have no idea.

Bad, very bad.
Horrible. Had to change rooms due to cigarette smell in first room. Dirty ashtray left on the balcony. Second room was ok but unfortunately people next door had a big party outside their room and used our table, chairs and entrance to our room as a dumping ground. Litter everywhere. Reported to management but nothing was done, just an apology. Will never stay here again

A Gem on the South Coast.
Wonderful service. Everyone went the extra mile especially Brad in the restaurant. Abi was also a real darling. Whatever we asked for was promptly delivered. All the pools were sparkling blue and we did not know where to swim first. A wonderful experience and we cannot wait to tell our friends and return.

Not what I was hoping for
I don’t think this hotel qualifies as a 5 star hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly but the amenities were not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The WiFi was very bad. The mini bar was empty. The TV quite small.

IT WAS THE WORST HOTEL I EVER SAW IT WAS FILTHY TO THE CORE WITH LIZARD CRAP ON THE WALL,SPIDER WEBS IN THE ROOM AND ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT INSECTS IN THE BATHROOM THE POOL WAS SO DIRTY FOR A FIVE STAR HOTEL IT SHOULD BE RATED 1 STAR!!! THE STAFF WAS SO UNACCOMMODATING AND THE MANAGER WAS SO RUDE AND PATHETIC...

The hotel was good and room was nice. WiFi was an issue as it’s advertised free in rooms and reception but this was not the case. WiFi is only free in reception which is a problem on business trips. Management said it was an incorrect advert which did not solve the problem.

Fabulous experience
Reception was awesome and we were accompanied to our room almost immediately. All paperwork was ready, so no delay to get booked in. We were offered complimentary cake and coffee and also enjoyed a reduced rate on our full body massage at the spa ... what a treat, thank you to the View!! An absolute must to come back here.

Amazing stay at the View Boutique Hotel.
My stay was absolutely lovely. I was really impressed with everything at the View Boutigue hotel, not forgetting the amazing view of the coast. The hospitality was great, which really made my Anniversary a memorable one.Just like to stay a big Thank you to everyone there!!!

Honeymoon Bliss
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at The View. It was 5 nights of absolute bliss – couldn't fault the gorgeous establishment or super outstanding staff on anything! It was an amazingly stunning experience that we will always cherish and hope to relive on our first wedding anniversary.

Splendid stay, absolutely amazing!
I have stayed at various 5 star hotels, but the View has definitely proven to be an astounding hotel. The service was exceptionally commendable, the food was superb. The finer details included in the room just makes your stay so much more personal and special. To the management of the View Boutique Hotel, well done on ensure such amazing service. Great views in quiet location
The staff were extremely friendly and promptly attended to our needs. We had the honeymoon suite for 2 nights that had sweeping ocean views and a nice balcony to enjoy a drink or meal. The location is good as we were looking for a peaceful couple of days. Overall a comfortable stay but this hotel is not quite up to the claimed 5 star rating. Nonetheless would stay again.

Hotel with nice views & facilities but at a price
This hotel has great views over the distant sea from its hill side location. Good facilities and very nice food. Made very interesting by winding, intersecting pathways and steps, a lot of steps so not suitable for anyone who finds steps difficult. The price is quite high but if you make use of the facilities then it would not be so bad. Restaurant staff were particularly good, friendly and attentive.

Der Empfang im Hotel war leider schlecht. Kein „ warm welcome“; weder die Anlage wurde erklärt, noch nette Worte zur Begrüssung, kein Drink; kein Hilfsangebot für Gepäck etc. Im Zimmer war der Safe defekt (auch keine Anleitung); Toilettenpapier fehlte gänzlich; keine kleinen Handtücher; für zweitägigen Aufenthalt gab es eine kleine Flasche Wasser.. keine weitere in der Minibar: auf Nachfrage wurde die Bestellung im Restaurant gegen Bezahlung geraten! Buchung für Behandlung im Spa war schwierig, da das Timemanagement (inkompetente Mitarbeiter) nicht funktionierte! Massagen waren gut ; ebenso das Diner im Restaurant Giorgio. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend für 5 Star Guesthouse.

schöne Aussicht, professionelles und freundliches Personal, das auch Tipps zur Umgebung und zu Durban auf Lager hat. Nette Tea-time am Nachmittag mit allerlei Süßem. Frühstück auf gewohnt hohem SA-Niveau. Ruhige Lage/Zimmer, sicheres Parken. Ausstattung hier und da leicht unter 5*-Niveau, zumindest wenn man es an deutschen Standards bemisst.

Très déçus ! N'est pas un 4 étoiles!!!!
Cet hôtel est classé 4 étoiles alors qu'en réalité il n'est nullement etoilé! Je trouve cela scandaleux car nous recherchions un hôtel 4 étoiles et nous avons réservé dans celui là car Hotels.com l'a mentionné comme étant un 4 étoiles alors que ce n'est pas vrai!!!! Prise en charge trop longue : on nous a fait patienter 50 minutes en tout avant que nous soyons conduits à la chambre, sans nous dire quoi que ce soit... La prise en charge nous a donné vraiment mauvaise impression... loin d'un service 4 étoiles!!! Les chambres n'ont pas vraiment d'intimité, toutes donnent sur la piscine, donc tout le monde à vu sur votre terrasse ou votre balcon. Un conseil ne prennez pas les chambres standard qui sont au rez de chaussé car c'est pire encore question intimité! Le restaurant est bon mais pour un chef qui se réclame avec une expérience 5 étoiles ça fait désordre de servir des frites surgelées et de la mayo en tube... La restauration du soir est très bonne, par contre si vous prenez la forme demi-pension, attention! En fait vous n'avez droit qu'à entrée/plat/dessert imposé mais changeant tous les soirs. A la carte vous n'avez le choix qu'entre 2 entrées, 4 plats et 5 desserts. Le reste de la carte est avec supplément... Tout cela nous ne l'avons apris qu'au bout de 2 jours en discutant avec d'autres clients car les serveurs ne nous avaient rien expliqués...! La piscine est très jolie, la plage calme mais pas exceptionnelle. Le wifi ne fonctionne pas bien mais il est gratuit.
