Historic cottage in the pretty & well placed village of Docking, comfortably sleeps 8 with 4 bedrooms (2 double & 2 twin) & 2 bathrooms. Off road parking for 2 cars. Ideal for larger groups or 2 families sharing. Great base to explore North Norfolk & beyond. 10 mins from Brancaster Beach & Burnham Market. Dog friendly (up to 2 dogs), courtyard, dishwasher, log burner, Free unlimited Wifi, travel cot, highchair.

Parts of Chase Cottage date back to the 1700s (so there are steeper than usual steps and a few low door frames!) and was once Boydens, the village general store.

Outside and garden:
Sunny courtyard with bench, also table / chairs for 6 and access direct from the kitchen. Outside lights. 5 foot high gate and fence.


The listing is for the use of the whole cottage, which has 4 bedrooms, and 6 beds, (or 7 including a day bed). These comprise:
1 double (with an extra single day bed) - this has its own (quite steep) staircase from the Kitchen and an Internet ready Smart TV.
1 further double and 1 twin (up a separate staircase)
1 downstairs twin
2 reception rooms, one with log burner (fire guard available) and 40" TV which has BT TV included. The other reception has 2 sofas, and is a nice place to relax / play games.
Downstairs bathroom with newly installed walk in shower and bath, sink and toilet. Upstairs bathroom with sink, toilet and shower.
Kitchen/diner with table that seats up to 8, dishwasher, microwave, Samsung Washer/Dryer etc.
BT Infinity 2 Broadband WiFi with BT Smart Hub, unlimited device & data usage.

Great stay... the big kitchen table was a plus but the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were not only steep (as described) but also narrow. Parking might be tricky with a big car. Vendors were easy to contact and very helpful

Perfect for exploring Norfolk
This is a lovely, well-kept cottage in the village of Docking. Great location for exploring Norfolk. Large bedrooms, would sleep 8 (9 with a small child on the day bed) comfortably. The first thing we noticed was how clean it was. Spotless. Kitchen well equipped, great appliances. Nice out door patio and access to great dog walk down the lane. Yes the stairs are a little steep but one bedroom is downstairs for anyone a little unsteady. Always had an immediate response from the owners. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Overall a very enjoyable stay
Great property. Noisy upstairs loo and parking wasn’t the easiest. Key safe took some sorting but luckily I had my granddaughter on hand to sort it. Overall it was a great week in the sort of house we’ve often dreamed of living in.

Perfect Norfolk cottage
We had the perfect stay in lovely Chase Cottage. The cottage was much roomier than the photos suggest and extremely clean. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The welcome basket is a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The dog walk up the lane behind the cottage was great for the dog and of course we had long walks on the nearby beaches. Docking is a perfect base for visiting the Norfolk coast. Thank you Mary and Simon for the use of your splendid cottage.

Quirky, comfortable, home from home cottage!
What a delightful cottage, from the moment you step in it's clear that this cottage is quirky but at the same time has the modern touches required to make a stay comfortable, it feels very welcoming, we also loved the history around the cottage. Home from home we had a very enjoyable stay. We spent alot of time in the well equipped and lovely kitchen. There are 2 very steep staircases to get to upstairs room but this just added to the historic feel of the cottage. Situated brilliantly for access to lots of places of interest, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Fab cottage for a great pre-Christmas weekend away
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Chase Cottage. The cottage was presented beautifully, both families staying were delighted by the quirky layout, the welcoming Christmas tree, lovely biscuits in the hamper and the space.
