Perfect Maui stay
We had the most perfect stay at Helene and Barry’s condo. Condo is equipped with everything you could need for cooking, relaxation and the beach. Bed is very comfortable and unit has extra pillows, towels etc. Location is perfect; close to beach, resorts and shops. Lastly communication with the hosts was remarkable. They were so quick to help us and answer all questions regarding our stay. Thank you so much for such a great visit!

We stayed in the condo for 2 weeks and loved it. It is a nice, cozy corner unit in the upper section of the resort. It is very close to the "Quiet" pool (1 of 4 pools) which we enjoyed. Lots of beaches near by to enjoy. The condo is very well equipped. It had a full kitchen, lots of beach towels, beach chairs, & even a wagon to pull the beach items. The owners have made a big effort to ensure that guests are comfortable and enjoy their time in Maui. We will be back! Mahalo

Comfy and clean condo
I have stayed at this property before in a different unit and love having the beach access as well as multiple pools to choose from. This unit, though farther from the beach and main (kid friendly) pool, was very clean and comfortable for our stay, perfect for what we needed. The walk to the main pool and beach was no big deal and having a wagon to use was great. The thing I appreciated the most was how well stocked the condo was for our stay. There were enough paper products, hand soaps, dish soap, cooking oil, spices, etc. for our stay, which doesn't seem like a big deal but there's nothing worse than not having these things when you need them and having to buy a bunch just for a weeks worth of use. Though not an issue for us, I would say that the barn door for the bathroom is not very private (for noise) and so if you're not fully comfortable with the people you are rooming with this might not be the best place for you. The traffic noise was noticeable when there were obnoxious drivers revving their engines, but I've lived in cities and it was a non-issue for me and my family. Overall this was a great place to stay and I would stay here again hands down. Kudos to the hosts for a memorable stay!

Great condo
Great condo. Only caution is the location of the condo in the complex. It is on the corner of a busy intersection and the traffic noise is present. Also it is a 5+ minute hike up the hill to get from the beach back to the condo. That being said we would stay here again as the location in Wailea is wonderful and the condo itself is good.

Nice place near beaches.
Very nice place to stay and well-equiped kitchen and patio area. Good location to access many beaches by walking or driving. Close to a great quiet pool. A bit of close loud motorcycle and truck noise which ear plugs solved for night time. Would not hesitate to return!

Perfect vacation
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. A beautiful patio to have our morning coffee, three pools to choose from if the beaches were too windy, and a big home-like space to call our own for the week. This space has everything you would need - towels, beach gear, full kitchen, washer and dryer and a large comfortable bed. Thank you !!

Perfect
This property had everything we needed to make our stay convenient and comfortable. We had NO issues with anything from owner to property. The unit is clean and spacious and all appliances work perfectly. The property is beautiful and the grounds are breathtaking. The pools are clean and quiet, the beach is not crowded, clean, and has the perfect combination of sand and lava rock areas. If you go early in the morn, you can search for urchin, sea stars, hermit crabs, etc. We even had turtles swimming across our beach during our stay! The owner had provided beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, and even a wagon for our beach comfort. There are plenty of towels for indoor and outdoor, too. I cannot rave enough about our stay. We will hopefully being staying again soon!

Good Maui base camp for the price
We love this area. Wailea is the best in my opinion. The complex is on the best beach in Maui, Keawakapu. And the complex itself has four pools, the biggest of which has an incredible, massive covered patio area for sitting, with four big gas grills, and entire kitchen. In the evenings families hang out at the pool, cook, grill, and watch the sunset. And you have your own gate right onto the beach. The condo is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully outfitted for your needs. The lanai is comfortable and shaded and the spot to relax. And the wifi is fast. There is a smaller pool and two small grills right in front of the lanai. There’s four beach chairs, an umbrella and three coolers to take to the beach. Now the bad. The biggest issue is the location of the condo WITHIN the complex. It’s the farthest away from the main pool and beach access. It’s a long walk. And coming back it’s all uphill. So if you want to go to the beach or spend time at the main pool you’re probably going to drive. The condo only has an A/C in the living room, not in the bedroom. So in order to get cold air back to the bedroom you have to use two fans. But if you close the shutters (no bedroom door) the air doesn’t cool down the bedroom. The condo itself is clean but esthetically it needs some updating and maintenance. The kitchen sink faucet was very loose, the patio slider door screeches and trim fell in the bathroom at night on us. But overall it’s a good basecamp for Maui.

And believe me, we wish our condo was even closer to the beach too but alas those units are pretty, pretty, pricey, so we are very grateful just to have the place we do where we are at! Now the good news - we had our handyman go in and fix the sink, patio door, and bathroom trim shortly after you left. And the great news is we have a new AC unit going into the bedroom as we speak so hopefully, our guests will now be able to sleep comfortably for years to come! In the end, we are glad you enjoyed our place as a base camp while on the island, and hope we get a chance to host you again sometime soon!

Nicest place I’ve stayed in Maui
This was a perfect location on my favorite beach and close to shopping in kiehi and happy hour at the fairmont. Best of both worlds. Wonderful pool on the beach. Fun club house for cook outs. Long walk up from beach but if needed public parking is by beach.

Mom & Dad of bride last minute decision to crash the elopement on Mokapu Beach. Kids staying at Andaz just South down from condo. Owners extremely responsive and informative. The condo was as advertised and in a great area to stay on Maui. The condo itself is perfect and the extra amenities like the pool, beach, and grounds were private and well kept. We had a small issue with getting in the one day due to a dead battery, but the manager was quick to fix the situation.

The property was very nice, but it is too close to a major road, traffic noises early mornings and at night. The view was nice, but also if you wanted to BBQ, you had to walk a distance away in order to do that. Other than that it was nice.

Great condo in Wailea
We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The pool and pavilion right beside the beach is a great feature. The walk to the beach is at least 10 minutes up/down the hill, but we were able to do this with two kids. The wagon provided is essential for a family to get to and from the beach.

We arrived at property and had a very easy entrance to suite and found it to be clean and nice furnishings at first There were a few things during are stay that I did not think we up to par I brought this up to the owner and they were very appreciative and said they would fix . This suite does have road noise and is one of the farthest unit from beach which we didn’t know before renting .

Not quite what was expected
My family has stayed at Ekahi 6 times over the past 8 years. There were some changes this time which I will go through below along with unit specific comments without much other comments as space is limited for review. - it may be that our kid grew from a newborn to a now 8 year old, but we have found the restrictions at the main pool (we don’t go to the quiet pools because they don’t want noise at the other pools) to be non-conducive to anybody other than a newborn or 18+. The only items allowed in the pool are life saving devices (water wings or life jacket) or diving rings. There are no balls, games, or anything else. This has gotten more strict over the years in my opinion. - we happened to book during “owners week” where owners have meetings at the pool and pavilion and these areas plus main bbq is closed for periods. We were not told until the closures started on Feb 13. Pool and pavilion were closed for large periods from Feb 13-18 which was most of our trip. Guests we spoke to felt like us, that we were inconveniencing the owners by our presence based on how mgmt treated us. We spend lots of time at the pool so value was much lower for us. - the unit itself is nice enough. No ac in bedroom which wasn’t an issue in winter but could be in summer depending on the person. There is a fan. - Unit is right by the main roads so you hear loud vehicles at night. If the pricing is reduced to accommodate, this may work for you depending on your circumstances.

Nice resort, unit a little far from beach.
The condo was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. As many others wrote, it's near a somewhat busy intersection, so we kept the windows closed at night to reduce noise. As there is only a mini split AC unit in the living room, we used 2 supplied fans to try and keep the bedroom cool. The bed was large, firm, and very comfortable. The pools, beach, and grounds were very nice, and the view of the many flowers and trees from the Lanai was excellent. We ate most of our meals there. We had a very nice week, but felt the cost (over $4000 Cdn) for the week was quite high for being a fairly long walk from the large pool and beach.

Casual property, great location!
It was a very laid-back property stocked with a lot of beach-friendly items: boogie boards, beach chair, umbrella, beach towels, etc. We appreciated this! The main lanai is lovely, I spent a lot of time there sipping my coffee and taking in the views. In the heat of the day it's a long walk to the main complex pool/beach area, but we didn't mind the walk in the early morning or evening (we were here during the hottest time of the year). The main pool area for the complex is beautiful! There's beach access from the pool area and a brand-new pavilion where I spent a lot of time hanging out on the outdoor couches reading in the shade and catching ocean breezes while my 12 year old son ran around. It was a lovely visit, thank you so much for the hospitality!

Worked well for our family, some room for improvement
The Wailea Ekahi property was a great homebase for our family trip to Maui. The huge lawns, beautiful gardens, 3 pools (the 4th, and closest to the unit was closed during our stay), beach pavilion with kitchen, and beach access were exactly what we wanted, and what the 12- and 10-year old enjoyed the most. This unit is on the ground floor, and being able to walk directly out the lanai onto the lawns and gardens made the unit feel more spacious than an upper unit would I think. As some have said, the walk to/from the beach takes about 5-10 minutes (the way home is uphill!) so for very small children it could be arduous, but the wagon that's available in the unit is an excellent touch. This northern end of Wailea is a nice central location with easy access to Wailea shops and Kehei restaurants and beaches. Of course we stocked up at Costco, and the kitchen facilities in this unit were great for preparing meals all week. We used the ovens and BBQ down at the beach pavilion and the kids loved eating beside the pool so they could jump back in right away :) We used many of the supplies that were available in the unit - the wagon (everyday!), boogie boards, beach towels, pool noodles, etc. However, the pullout couch basically cannot be slept on, the mattress is slanted and extremely uncomfortable. The air conditioning unit is in the living room, it doesn't reach the bedroom very well. We used fans to blow the cool air, but we also wanted the bedroom door closed overnight, so the room was quite warm. The barn door for the bathroom does not offer much privacy. Having the sink in the hallway makes it a bit easier for 4 people to share one bathroom. A light was burnt out, which the handyperson came to fix the same day we texted the property managers. However we also ran out of toilet paper, and when we texted to request more, did not receive it. Other reviewers have mentioned that traffic noise bothered them, which we did not find. Perhaps if you are used to some traffic at home, it's not as noticeable. Overall this place worked very well for us, and suited our budget. We knew that being walkable to a beach and pool would be key for us, and this place delivered. Some of the drawbacks I have mentioned did detract slightly from our enjoyment (running out of TP is awkward!) but we had a great vacation and this place was comfortable, safe, clean, and easy. I would recommend it.

The condo was clean, nicely decorated and well stocked. The grounds were lush and tropical. The bed was comfortable. We used the boogie boards, towels, beach chairs, a nice convenience. It’s close to restaurants and shops. We were a little confused by lock box on door molding vs. electric lock behind screen on door, but got in alright. We won’t stay here again due to the road noise in the bedroom, and the longer than expected hike to beach.

Best place ever for our Mother/daughter vacation. I highly recommend this condo. Literally had everything we needed for our week in Maui. Pretty much only thing that we could have used that was missing were chip clips- lol I also would suggest driving down to the beach and parking vs walking down (especially if you're a little older like I am. The walk back up the hill back to the condo will kill you)

Lovely area
We will stay here at Ekahi again. Suite has all you could want. A quick walk to everything and very nice. If you are a light sleeper then bring ear plugs for Friday and Saturday nights as the cars tend to be loud on the road those nights (the unit is close to the road). We enjoyed the area immensely and the check in process and hosts were very nice. Highly recommend

We were excited to be returning to Maui and Ehkahi after two years of the pandemic. When we opened the door at the property the entire condo reeked of disinfectant. The patio was filthy as was the patio table. There was a mop lying on the patio floor. The sliding screen door is in disrepair as are the bedroom door and laundry doors and cupboard door under the sink. This condo needs some care and attention. Minimum stocked, 2 spoons, no bottle opener etc. We have stayed at 12 plus condos in Ehkahi over the years, this was the worst. Very noisy with traffic. Very overpriced for what you get. We don’t mind paying but the facility should deliver. We could never recommend this condo to anyone. Luckily we only booked a week.

This was our annual trip to Maui and we were so excited to celebrate the New Year and my birthday here. Unfortunately, this rental was such a disappointment. Pros: *GREAT location *Beautiful landscaped grounds *Lovely Lanai Cons: *Bugs! Woke up to ants all over the bathroom the first day and all over the kitchen throughout the stay (owner offered to come by and spray Raid for us. I did it instead, but they reappeared) *Bedding - the pillows were very warn and when we moved the pillow cases to other pillows, we found blood stains on one of them! *Kitchen - aside from the bugs, the owners seem to collect things left behind by other guests. We were disgusted to find 1/2 used salad dressing, butter, etc in the refrigerator (especially during Covid!). This continues in the cabinets which are filled with random mismatched dinnerware, glasses, and 1/2 used spices. *Furniture - I was disappointed to see very worn furniture in the unit when the ad clearly stated it has new furniture. The couch was in need of new cushions and the ottoman was peeling on all sides. I was surprised after making the owner aware of this (with pictures on the first day) that they still charged me a cleaning fee. Bugs crawling on our food and toothbrushes should have alerted something wasn't going right for your guests. Sadly, during this trip to Maui... I couldn't wait to return home.

So sorry you were disappointed with your stay, Mario. Believe me, we really try to do everything we can to ensure our guests have an enjoyable vacation while in Maui. Regarding the concerns you raised in your review of our property: 1. Our condo, (along with all the condos in Ekahi complex) are visited by a pest control company on a monthly extermination spray schedule. Recognizing that Hawaii is a tropical destination, bugs are an everyday part of living there, but we do our best, within the unit, as well as follow all the pest control companies' ongoing advice to limit any bugs guests see the best we can. As you know, as soon as you made us aware of the ants we offered to have our cleaners and the exterminators come out immediately but you didn't want anyone coming into the unit (which in these Covid-times we totally understand), but it is very tough for us to handle a complaint when you turn the solution for it down. 2. Regarding the condo bedding - Our cleaning staff does a great job 99% of the time in turning the unit over to our next guests in tiptop shape (and this can be verified given the number of five-star reviews our condos have been given). but they are not perfect for sure, but again we offered to have them come out to fix the pillow/blanket situation which you also declined. 3. Regarding the fridge and cupboards. We do appreciate your thoughts, but have actually had feedback in the past to do the exact opposite of what you suggest….that is to say many of our guests early on commented that they would like to see some basic seasonings and condiments left in the condo so that they don’t have to buy everything new each time. We’ve spoken to our housekeepers about this though and asked them to ensure the dry seasonings and anything in the fridge (condiments) are not outdated or in bad shape when new guests arrive. The consensus is that, for those that want to use the spices/condiments, they are an added convenience, and for those that don’t want to use them they simply don’t have to/can ignore them. 4. Regarding the furniture in the condo: As owners, we last stayed in the unit in October 2021 and the cushions and the ottoman were both in good shape then. We of course value your feedback, and while we're not sure how they became damaged in such short order, we did replace them right away once you left. In the end, we do apologize that your stay was not what you had hoped for but know we take great pride in all the five-star VRBO ratings previous guests have given us and will continue to work hard trying to provide our guests with an even better place to stay in the future.

This is a wonderful property for a stay. The facilities are excellent here with nice pools and great beach access. Gardens are well kept. The condo itself is PERFECT for a stay. One bedroom with any and everything you could imagine needing. It is clean and comfortable. Downsides…..none! We will certainly look at booking here again in the future.

Great place to stay on Maui
We have always been envious of people staying at Wailea Ekahi, as this is our favorite beach area. The pool area and the patio are right on the ocean. Staying here has been delightful. It’s a great unit at the top of the complex with a large patio. Well stocked kitchen, great beach equipment, and comfortable accommodations. We will return to this unit when we come back to Maui.

Such a better experience than a hotel
We checked into this property after spending 5 days in Oahu at a hotel in Waikiki. Little did I know how much I’d value the comforts of a home after that much time in a hotel! In unit laundry was a huge plus, not needing to pay for parking and getting to borrow boogie boards and snorkel gear for free made the second half of our Hawaii vacation so much more enjoyable. AC was only in the living room, so you need to use the fans in the bedroom if you’re warm, but they had two and they were pretty quiet so that didn’t bother us at all. We didn’t explore the grounds very much but they seemed nice, easy to find parking, and no one really bothered us about coming or going. The beach is either a long walk or a short drive, and it’s a very calm beach, no waves to speak of (if you were looking to surf). Again, a long walk or short drive to the shops and any restaurants, and not far from the airport. Slightly difficult to check in as your GSP will take you to a different part of the community, and I got mixed up with the door key code and the key box code but the property manager responded quickly and got us settled without any delay.

Clean and Updated Unit in Beautiful Wailea
Unit 44A is tastefully updated and was very clean. Though the condo is closer to the road, it offered a lot of privacy. We loved playing in the grass in front of the unit with our toddler. Comfortable bed. The heated pool close to the beach was very nice. Would recommend!

The Perfect getaway!
I absolutely loved my stay in Wailea! Loved it so much I had to extend. The host was always ready to help if I had a question, and replied in a timely manner. If the unit is available, don't miss it! The location couldn't be better if you as me. Close to the beach, and all that beautiful Wailea has to offer. The discription is accurate. I hope to stay again in the near future! Great condo on tremendous resort

Extra Charges
We were charged extra for damage we didn't do. There were broken beach chairs when we showed up, but we got blamed for it. Also, we were charged for "blood" on a piece furniture, but none of us were injured at any point during our trip. We had a great time, but we were disappointed by the extra charges for damage we didn't do. Stay somewhere else.

Bad communication upon arrival.
After arriving after a long flight, we spent over an hour trying to get a response back from owner, because they didn't give us arrival info or code get in.. Got code to door a little over a hr after arriving, but didn't get arrival text with all info till after 1am Hawaii time. This info should have been in our pre arrival email and on vrbo. Also for those want to those who want a Ocean view, this unit does not offer that.
