Nice property nearby the airport. Only problem was they didn't have a key for me to my room when I checked in (very late). They let me in, no problem, but then I didn't have my own key.
There was no lift, but the staff helped with my bags.
This is a tucked away hotel with a wonderful staff and nice location a few blocks from the Convention Center, a couple of blocks to a grocery store (in room refrigerator) and a couple of restaurants. I have friends who live a couple of blocks from the hotel and both said they had never even noticed it but had heard of the little coffee shop next door.
The grounds are small but well-kept and beautiful. The breakfast is good – order from a small menu that changes daily. But, the staff is so accommodating that I think they would fix anything you requested if they have it.
The rooms are small – at least ours was. But the a/c worked well, water was hot and they provided drinking water. This is not a deluxe five-star hotel but a good value for the price.
There was some live music Friday and Saturday nights at the coffee shop next door that we thought was going to be a problem but it quit promptly at 9PM. This is our first trip to Kigali and I would check out other hotels before staying here again but I would not be disappointed if I had to stay here again. It was clean, amazing staff and comfortable (except for the totally flat pillows which I have encountered around the world.) Again, I would be OK staying here again but would check out other options as well.
I enjoyed my time the staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful. They made my stay very pleasant. Walking distance to grocery stores and Malls. I don't like huge corporate hotels. This had to touch of home away from home.
Wonderful service, beautiful view, excellent food, fascinating birdlife, with a special surprise of live Sunday hymns drifting in from somewhere across the hills from afar. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful. Always kind. A lowkey quiet place, memorable.
