"Amazing staff, great location and delicious food!"

"staff are very helpful. The food was amazing, but there is a little room for improvement on the accommodation marks on the walls. TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. "A very pleasant stay. Good room size which was in good condition with all the amenities you would expect. Large comfortable bed and an excellent power shower. Good quality tea/coffee with branded chocs which was a nice touch. Very friendly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was excellent, tasty, large portions and reasonably priced. Wide choice of breakfast options. Will stay there again if in the area."

"Beautiful location right on the river bank. We had 2 nights at this amazing hotel. Our room was large, clean and extremely comfortable. The was a great choice for breakfast. The location is stunning with a large beer garden. The staff are friendly and helpful. They arranged a 6 seater taxi for us into St Ives which is a beautiful town which happened to have a jazz an and blues festival and a food market. "I stayed at the Jester while I was in the area for business. Bas and his chef Derek bent over backwards to accommodate during what was a very difficult time for them at the tail end of the second lockdown. With no other staff to support them, and making preparations for the reopening, they still found time to make sure I had access to evening meals and breakfast, despite the fact they had no reason to open the kitchen, just to serve me.
