Almost directly opposite is Keswick Golf Club, so if you fancy a round while you’re away, you could not be much closer. The quaint village of Scales, along with a couple of local pubs offering great food and local cask ales, is just a mile away. The lodge is just 5 miles from the vibrant Lake District town of Keswick, which is brimming with great restaurants, pubs serving local craft ales, an excellent range of shopping experiences and some memorable tourist attractions. Such a cost, warm and welcoming cottage. Instantly feels like a home away from home. Superbly equipped and near to some of the most surrounding walks and tells such as Skiddaw and (right above) Blenchathra. Parking right outside the lodge too (if your car isn't too big!), which is really handy for unpacking. Check in/out is easy. Easy to find too. Will definitely be returning! Great for couples or people on their own.

Good location, private feel
Good size for two people, the kitchen was well equipped and it was lovely and warm. Perfect if you're in the lake district for a few walks with easy access to Blencathra, short trip from the main motorway and easy enough drive into Kendal. If you are sensitive to road noise and plan on a few lay-ins maybe take some earplugs.
